Can we split now? I only have 48 individual gifts and have now way to get more.

Any DD ages 9,10,11, 12 interested in emailing or fb with my daughter. She is excited and would love to pre meet some of the girls. email Calla at drkathyj@hotmail.com

DD is 10 and I'm sure the more friends the better. I'll get her on the computer this weekend and get the dialogue going. She started emailing Liblady's DG (and still has to respond to Lucky1's DD).

We are going to Alaska on this cruise. It will be me (Stacie), DH (Steven), and my 7 year old little girl from Houston Texas. We are travelling with another family of 3 from New Olrelans- Beth, Mike, and their 8 year old girl.

Please sign us up for the meet and greet.

Thanks!

Stacie, Welcome! We are in Tiki Island. What part of Houston are you in? My 8 yo dd is excited to have a "local" onboard with us.

:teacher: Just 2 days of school left:cheer2:

Am I the only one checking trip reports numerous times a day hoping for an Alaskan report? Is there somewhere besides DCL Trip Reports I should be looking? :confused3

If you haven't seen this thread, it has some reports from those who just returned:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2934163&page=1]

Also, there IS a pirate night!

This was posted by Wilderness Gal:

In terms of the nightly show schedule it was as follows:
Day 1: Welcome Aboard (Mon, depart)
Day 2: Golden Mickeys (Tues, at sea)
Day 3: Michael Harrison (Comedy act and ventriloquist) (Weds, glacier viewing)
Day 4: Avengers in 3D (Thurs, Skagway)
Day 5: Toy Story the Musical (Fri, Juneau)
Day 6: Disney Dreams (Sat, Ketchikan)
Day 7: Til We Meet Again (Sun, at sea)

Pirates night was the evening in Juneau (Day 5).

Formal Night was Day 2 and semi-formal night was Day 6.

Their itinerary was slightly different and with 4th of July ours might be slightly different. Oh boy..... getting way too excited.

Sara

I still need stateroom info for Cagirl767, 2PrincessinTow, lucky1 and ag73. Two more weeks to sign up for FE!!

We won't have our stateroom number until about 11 days before the cruise and we are more than hoping to be able to upgrade at port.

No problem, just swing by my room and write you stateroom # on the list posted on my door after you board the ship. I will try my best to be available at the meet-n-greet to take care of these changes too.

Welcome Stacie!

Thank you Sara for posting your Pirate Night findings! Just another thing to pack, lol. :goodvibes
My kids will be thrilled though that they get to dress up. Thanks for the itinerary too.

Does anyone have any kind of guess as to how rough the water may get on a whale watching boat? I'm wondering how far out they go to figure out if we should maybe not chance it (we're booked on a whale watching excursion). I really don't want to make things worse by going on a really rockin boat. Hmmmmm......

Wareaglegirl, you will not be alone on this adventure! We have three rooms full of Auburn fans, including four grads and one mom who paid for two of us (my sister and I), and four future students. I'm sure we'll be sporting the Auburn gear quite a bit among us all and are always ready for a "War Eagle!"

We always find Auburn people in our travels as well, including my DH walking out of his office in Al Faw Palace in Baghdad to see Tommy Tuberville standing at the bottome of the rotunda.

Ausome! I made an Auburn/Mickey magnet for our door. If you like, I'll be happy to send you a pdf of it. If I can figure out how to do a PM that is.

That would be great! I requested one from a DISigner yesterday. DD9 and I are planning to decorate everyone's doors all week. If you can't figure out how to PM it, I will try to send you my e-mail address. Haven't really used the PM yet.

The first of the Alaska Trip reports are coming in... Go over to the Trip Report boards...:cool1:

Just a quick note that there are no new signups for the FE since the last update. Still at 17 families, 33 adults and 22 kids.

just got notification that my FE gifts have shipped. Got nothing done as far as packing for this trip. WIth it over 100's each day, pulling out warmer weather clothes just doesn't seem right.

DD10 has her big dance concert this weekend, with 11 different dances So that means we are in dress rehearsal from Wednesday afternoon until Friday evening. All for 4 shows which she will be dancing a total of 26 times over Saturday and Sunday. exhausted

Wowsers! That sounds like some serious dancing!

We're into summer swimming here, so I feel like my days go preschool-work-preschool-pool-preschool-home -- and that's just for DD5! I can't imagine when she's 10...it's going to be a whole new ballgame ;)

I need to order my FEs -- maybe I'll just pad the number slightly to be safe and get it over with :goodvibes

I'm going to book a car service to pick us up from the port on our return so that we can do something before heading to the airport (1:30ish flight). Ideally, the car service will hold our bags, take us to somewhere fun (maybe the Children's Museum?), and then take us to the airport. Our TA recommended one company that has NO Yelp reviews. There's another that looks great on Yelp, but no DIS endorsements. What to do...oh the travel dilemmas! ;)

I haven't seen where there were any decisions on a DisMeet.

I don't want to step on any toes before trying to get one going.
