Frozen Fireworks: Alaska on the Wonder July 2, 2012

I haven't seen where there were any decisions on a DisMeet.

I don't want to step on any toes before trying to get one going.

I am not sure that there has been one planned, but generally 3pm in the Promanade lounge has worked.

I'm not on your cruise, but just found out that the Seattle Symphony will be putting "Disney in Concert: Magical Music from the Movies" on June 30th. If you are in town the weekend before your cruise, this might be a fun way to start things off. The description sounds fabulous!

Cool - I arrive on the 30th. DH and DD arrive the day before, not sure I can talk the family into going. They want to see King Tut exhibit.

Okay DCL Veterans quick question: Does Disney set a schedule for the year and follow it for all the cruises traveling the same route? In other words, will our Navigators likely be the same as the ones posted by the returning 2012 Alaska cruisers?

Thanks DisSaraK, nice to see you over here. That's a great idea, too bad we fly in the next day and we've already bought our airline tickets that cost 2 arms and 2 legs. :(

What we have found is that it will be pretty similar except for the guest entertainment. Only way to tell if we will have the same guest entertainment is to check the entertainer's website. There may be a thing or 2 different. For example on our cruise Wednesday is July 4th, so expect some sort of celebration or something. I have been on a NYE and Halloween cruise and there is something different on those days.

Dismeet at 3 pm at the Promenade Lounge sounds good!

I emailed the FE list to everyone who has signed up. If you signed up and did not receive an email from me today, please let me know!

I am just hearing about the FE from a good friend. It looks like fun and would love to participate if its not to late. I am traveling with five kids. How do I sign up?

Okay, so looking at the roll call on page one it looks like we have

with DD's that are 10 or 11. One of my DD's is 10 and will be 11 later in July. She really wants to go to the Edge instead of the club. Will your DD's be going to the Edge or the club? Also, is there anyone else out there with DD's that are 10, 11 or 12? :cutie:

Thanks Laura, that's what I was hoping. :goodvibes I'm a planner to a fault so I feel better having some sort of schedule in my hands, especially when trying to organize kid and adult stuff separately. I'm not used to that on trips.

DD23 and DS20 are joining DH and me on the cruise. Any other young adults out there? DD23 is worried because she is too old for the college social group.

Hi Sara, I assume my DD10 will be in the Lab, only because I thought the Edge they had to have had their 11'th birthday and DD will be half way to her 11'th birthday on this cruise.

Hi Laura,

I'd rather my DD be in the lab but she wouldn't go last year on our Med cruise. I've read that if they're close to their bday they can go to Edge so I've promised her to check on it. I don't want her roaming the ship and I've already told her that there will be definite rules if she goes to Edge. She'll probably hang out with DH and I most of the time... I would like to go to Palo though so hopefully we can work it out, if not, no big deal.

The FE sign up closed last week and the list was finalized and emailed to everyone who signed up. That said, I have a few extras that I can slip into your FE but I can't promise that the others haven't ordered/made theirs. If you want to provide your info (see Post #1), I can re-distribute that list to all participants and I'm sure if people have extra, they wouldn't mind adding you to the fun!

I want to say sorry for those who haven't gotten emails from DD. She often doesn't get home until 8 then it's a race on how fast she can eat dinner, bathe, and get to bed) and our weekends aren't any better. I'm hoping that with school getting out this week and summer gymnastics practices schedule kicking in next week, we'll have time to get to those emails!
