Frontier price drop credits?

when the fair drops at Southwest, they give a credit to be used within the year. Does Frontier do this? My fairs have dropped over $60 each for 5 people. I would love to get a credit for future use

Frontier doesn't fly in our area, so I am not sure. But, Southwest is the only airline that I know that does this.

Even though it's just re-faring the ticket using the same flights, it would be considered a change. From the Frontier website:

"Will I be charged a fee to change my reservation?

A $99 change fee and any difference in air fare will apply to any changes. This includes date changes and city changes. All exchanges have no residual value when exchanged for a purchase of lesser value."

Note: That $99 change fee would be added for each tickets.

Some airlines do offer refundable/changeable tickets. At Frontier, that comes in the form of "the Works" bundle. But, my educated guess says that the overwhelming majority of leisure travelers don't buy those types of tickets. In practice, the only US airline that allows free changes (where you keep the difference) is Southwest.

No, Frontier does not give any credit or adjustment for price drops. I wish! They drop their prices significantly sometimes really close to the date of travel so when we book early to make sure we get the days and times we want we don't always get the best deal. We just flew to SC and booked at $90RT each which seemed great until it dropped to $30RT 2 weeks ago. I have to console myself I still paid a good price.

Alaska also does it.


Actually many airlines will do it, but they charge a hefty fee for the privilege. Southwest and Alaska do it withOUT the fee, which is where they are unique.
