Hello everyone...

I am looking to book a one way flight to Orlando (MCO) out of Detroit (DTW) in June but can't decide who I should book with. Frontier is much cheaper and has a good flight time for $193 CAD (1 checked bag), or a similar Delta flight is $349 CAD (1 checked bag). I've never flown with Frontier, but I've flown with Spirit tens of times with no issues, so I'm no stranger to what a budget airline flight is like, and it's not an issue of comfort or anything for me. I've been hearing some not great things about flying Frontier however, so I am just wondering if it's actually worth it to pay that much more for a flight with Delta? TYIA

I’ve flown Frontier a couple of times. No issues at all. Since you’re familiar with Spirit it’s similar. You just need to be aware of all the extra charges. Personally, I prefer to go with the flight times that suit my schedule best. That said, occasionally I will go with a slightly more expensive flight if I’m going to earn rewards.

It depends how many flights a day Frontier has going to MCO. I booked with them once and they canceled my flight. This was years ago. But they didn’t have another flight for a couple of days. They did have great customer service and put me on another airline.

I fly all over the country with my competitive gymnast and we have to bargain shop for the number of time we have to fly. Frontier is fantastic and a great bargain. If u are willing to fly mid week, kids under 15 fly free with their discount program. It is not worth it to pay more for Delta (in my opinion). Cheers!

Not sure which is worse based on some recent posts. My friend lost days vacation as F canceled her last minute with no flight that day at all .. it was awful. I still believe you get what you pay, budget is budget and risk is risk. Best of luck! Read up on recent complaints. Here and elsewhere then decide??
