What is crisco?
From what I heard from a CM who is in Parks and Resorts, some people from the Magic will be transferring to the Wonder so they can be closer to home (among the staff from Asia, Australia and the West coast - so that should be interesting.
DH and I signed up for personal trainers last week... I'm looking forward to my clothes fitting better.
Des: enjoy the cruise!!
You know you're tired when you put shoes in the fridge and not the closet.
Just sayin'.
Jeff is training for Goofy's Challenge during the marathon (doing both the half and full). His recent eye injury has hampered training (kinda hard to run when you can't see where you are going - or so he says). Is anyone else at WDW during marathon weekend?
Instead of a pirate night where we all dress us, we should do a Star Trek dress up night...
Bloomin sure you can still have fun!
Thats great you got your dress from charity shop, I cant walkpast a charity shop.
Linda, I probably should have swaped it, but to cruise out of barcelona I am really excited about.
I would not even worry about getting a brunch or a tea reservation. With all the sea days it should not even be a problem. The only probelm I can think of is the fact the Wonders staff is just not used to the brunch and tea because I think they only do it once a week. I did both last week and they were amazing. The chicken parmagin at lunch, I would kill for. Well I have to hike of to Le Celier for dinner then off to the studio for extra magic hours. Yes Tower of Terror at night. Now only if it would thunderstorm, then it would be perfect.
Hi All,
We got back late friday night from our week at WDW. We never managed to catch up with mommaluvsdisney. If you've never been able to take in MNSSHP, try to find time to go. It was the best time we've had at WDW in forever.
Next up for us is Dec. 18-26 at WDW. If anyone will be there let us know and we'll try to get together.
As far as doing things to get ready, I've started trying to eat right and drop some pounds. We should start a support group.
Welcome to all the newbies. Look forward to getting to know you.

What is crisco?
3/4 cup butter flavor crisco, 3/4 cup real butter, 1 cup splenda granulated, 3/4 cup splend brown sugar, 3 eggs, 4 cups flour, 1 T cream of tartar, 1 1/2 t. baking soda, 1/4 t. salt. Cream butter, crisco and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until mixed. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Mix until blended. Roll dough into 2" balls. Roll balls in a mixture of splenda (you can also use Nature's Sweet sugar substitute) and cinnamon. Chill balls until firm. Then freeze. When ready to bake, bake at 350 for 15 (give or take a minute) minutes. Cookies will look not quite done in middle, but will continue to cook on cookie sheet as they cool.
Now, it's important to use both butter and crisco as it makes the cookies stay together more instead of flattening out like a pancake. It's also important to use a mixture of white and brown sugars because this makes them a chewy, not crispy cookie. You freeze the dough because that also makes them stay more in form and not like a pancake. These taste pretty good. I didnt use almond flour though. I also made my choc. chip cookies with splenda and the family likes them better than with real sugars! Enjoy. Remember to take them out when they dont look quite done. People have a tendency to overbake them.
That was nice. Did you enjoy tea? I was disapointed.
We had tea on the Panama Canal cruise and just loved it - really a highlight, but this last cruise in September we were both very disappointed so probably won't bother again. I was quite sad.
Also, not to ruin your day, but Brown Sugar Splenda does have actual sugar in it. It wouldn't be sugar free. It's 50% brown sugar and 50% sucralose. It does however get used at half the rate of normal brown sugar, so using it would result in 25% of the sugar content of the original recipe. Still an incredibly good deal, but not quite sugar free (Though reduced enough that almost all diabetics would be fine without adjusting things too much)
I honestly do not know though how I'd survive without Splenda. I hate equal and I hate sweet n low. Stevia just has this insanely sweet aftertaste that drives me nuts. It takes a few seconds to actually get sweet. I know diabetics that swear by Stevia though.
