From what I heard from a CM who is in Parks and Resorts, some people from the Magic will be transferring to the Wonder so they can be closer to home (among the staff from Asia, Australia and the West coast - so that should be interesting.

DH and I signed up for personal trainers last week... I'm looking forward to my clothes fitting better. :)

Des: enjoy the cruise!!

You know you're tired when you put shoes in the fridge and not the closet.
Just sayin'.

Had a great day, if anyone ever finds themselves with some free time in Tampa, our aquarium is quite nice. They did Guppyween tonight, trick or treating through the aquarium. Jack loooooves fishies (and of course Lightning McQueen - nothing is better than that).

Jeff is training for Goofy's Challenge during the marathon (doing both the half and full). His recent eye injury has hampered training (kinda hard to run when you can't see where you are going - or so he says). Is anyone else at WDW during marathon weekend?

Instead of a pirate night where we all dress us, we should do a Star Trek dress up night...

Thanks! We are excited..we were given a chance to upgrade to the Royal Suite for only a few hundred dollars so since it's our 10th anniversary we are celebrating..we splurged! Halloween Mystery Cruise just doesn't seem the same without you two though :sad2:

Great news on the trainers! I will keep good thoughts for you both...I hope to see "less" of you :lmao:

That is tired....hope Jeff feels better soon.

Not a Star Trek fan here but will look forward to you all in costume :)

We got our exciting pirate "costumes" last week at Walmart in the Halloween section. Pirate t-shirts that look like pirate costumes and a bandana..that's our dress up limit :rotfl2:

Hope you get some rest!

I like the idea of ditching pirate night for a Star Trek night, but I keep hearing William Shatner in my head telling me to get a life.

Bloomin sure you can still have fun!
Thats great you got your dress from charity shop, I cant walkpast a charity shop.

Linda, I probably should have swaped it, but to cruise out of barcelona I am really excited about.

I can't seem to bow out of the Atlantic crossing either. Perhaps when the Dream announcement comes out...........hmmmmmm. For now, just sitting tight. PC is DH's happy retirement cruise.

I love shopping at second-hand charity shops; I have already started looking but no luck as yet. Still time :rotfl::rotfl:

Shirlely, Chippermerlin, returns from her 2+ week trip to the mouse and on board the Wonder. Lots of tales to tell. She's had a great time and the cruise was very, very interesting. I will suffice it to say, it rained INSIDE the ship.

WELCOME to Walt and Linda:wave2:

Hi All,
We got back late friday night from our week at WDW. We never managed to catch up with mommaluvsdisney. If you've never been able to take in MNSSHP, try to find time to go. It was the best time we've had at WDW in forever.
Next up for us is Dec. 18-26 at WDW. If anyone will be there let us know and we'll try to get together.
As far as doing things to get ready, I've started trying to eat right and drop some pounds. We should start a support group.
Welcome to all the newbies. Look forward to getting to know you.

I would not even worry about getting a brunch or a tea reservation. With all the sea days it should not even be a problem. The only probelm I can think of is the fact the Wonders staff is just not used to the brunch and tea because I think they only do it once a week. I did both last week and they were amazing. The chicken parmagin at lunch, I would kill for. Well I have to hike of to Le Celier for dinner then off to the studio for extra magic hours. Yes Tower of Terror at night. Now only if it would thunderstorm, then it would be perfect.

DH didn't like the chicken parmigiana - said the risotto tasted too much like school dinner rice pudding :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't think we will be going for brunch or high tea - not really much that we like there. It was a shame as I was looking forward to it.

I second MNSSHP. We just caught one on Sept 11th before boarding our cruise. We had a great time. loved the fireworks.

Watch out...it can get addictive (but in a good way!). I've lost 55 pounds through diet (ok, just eating smaller portions!) and exercise, along with a routine from a personal trainer from our last Disney cruise, and we are looking, well, awesome (DW and I both do it)! :goodvibes

Cruise site is updated. One more Disboarder needs to get room 6136 so we can have all the cat 7s on that side of deck 6. You guys all think the same apparently.....

Current Stats:
143 people in 55 staterooms, travelling as 47 parties.
This is 5.96% of the normal guest capacity(2400) of the Wonder.
This is 5.3% of the maximum guest capacity (2700) of the Wonder.
This is 6.27% of the available staterooms(877).

and I know there are people that are still missing from my list.

Once again, a couple of reminders. If you have things missing from my list, please let me know. Ages, Relationships, Dining, Disnames, First Names and hometowns. You don't need to provide all the info. Also, if you don't want your exact home town listed, at least give me something generic in the area :). The where we are from map is definitely interesting to see.

Finally, if you drop out, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. REALLY! I'm also going to require that at 45 days out, everyone on the list reconfirm. This just makes it easier for everyone with all the activities and what not.

Also added the additional image that RRBB did.

TDC Nala, do you have the Repo This image anywhere that you can send me?

3/4 cup butter flavor crisco, 3/4 cup real butter, 1 cup splenda granulated, 3/4 cup splend brown sugar, 3 eggs, 4 cups flour, 1 T cream of tartar, 1 1/2 t. baking soda, 1/4 t. salt. Cream butter, crisco and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until mixed. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Mix until blended. Roll dough into 2" balls. Roll balls in a mixture of splenda (you can also use Nature's Sweet sugar substitute) and cinnamon. Chill balls until firm. Then freeze. When ready to bake, bake at 350 for 15 (give or take a minute) minutes. Cookies will look not quite done in middle, but will continue to cook on cookie sheet as they cool.

Now, it's important to use both butter and crisco as it makes the cookies stay together more instead of flattening out like a pancake. It's also important to use a mixture of white and brown sugars because this makes them a chewy, not crispy cookie. You freeze the dough because that also makes them stay more in form and not like a pancake. These taste pretty good. I didnt use almond flour though. I also made my choc. chip cookies with splenda and the family likes them better than with real sugars! Enjoy. Remember to take them out when they dont look quite done. People have a tendency to overbake them.

Also, not to ruin your day, but Brown Sugar Splenda does have actual sugar in it. It wouldn't be sugar free. It's 50% brown sugar and 50% sucralose. It does however get used at half the rate of normal brown sugar, so using it would result in 25% of the sugar content of the original recipe. Still an incredibly good deal, but not quite sugar free (Though reduced enough that almost all diabetics would be fine without adjusting things too much)

I honestly do not know though how I'd survive without Splenda. I hate equal and I hate sweet n low. Stevia just has this insanely sweet aftertaste that drives me nuts. It takes a few seconds to actually get sweet. I know diabetics that swear by Stevia though.

That was nice. Did you enjoy tea? I was disapointed.

We had tea on the Panama Canal cruise and just loved it - really a highlight, but this last cruise in September we were both very disappointed so probably won't bother again. I was quite sad.

Tea on the 08 Panama was great! Then I hear it was crummy for a while, but I thought the tea this September was good. BUT, I think you will enjoy the tea if you do it with friends. Save Palo dinner for a meal with your honey, and get up a group for tea. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the recipe, Tami! MUCH appreciated.

Next cruise one of our table mates is a superb cook/baker with a diabetic husband. She has found some other stuff that she gets on line instead of splenda or stevia. I will be sure to pick her brain for details.

For all you Star Trek fans I see that Walmart.com has the shirts on clearance. They even have the red one if any of you is brave enough to buy it, lol. You have to go to the clearance section then to apparel. I was browsing for a costume to wear to Let's Make A Deal. Some good prices got hubby a pair of dress slacks for the cruise for $3.

I'm heading to WDW in 9 days for a 9 night stay at Saratoga Springs then a 7 night cruise. Anyone have any last minutes tips of things to bring or do like the over the bathroom door shoe holder for all the bathroom items.
:hippie: peace and relaxation.
