Tea on the 08 Panama was great! Then I hear it was crummy for a while, but I thought the tea this September was good. BUT, I think you will enjoy the tea if you do it with friends. Save Palo dinner for a meal with your honey, and get up a group for tea. :thumbsup2

.

Mmmmm, good thought!! I do like afternoon tea.

You know you're tired when you put shoes in the fridge and not the closet.
Just sayin'.

Had a great day, if anyone ever finds themselves with some free time in Tampa, our aquarium is quite nice. They did Guppyween tonight, trick or treating through the aquarium. Jack loooooves fishies (and of course Lightning McQueen - nothing is better than that).

Jeff is training for Goofy's Challenge during the marathon (doing both the half and full). His recent eye injury has hampered training (kinda hard to run when you can't see where you are going - or so he says). Is anyone else at WDW during marathon weekend?

Instead of a pirate night where we all dress us, we should do a Star Trek dress up night...
I would LOVE to do the marathon, I am so jealous, we cant do it next year as we are booked for skiing, and the next well..... woohooo panama here we come.
I like the idea of ditching pirate night for a Star Trek night, but I keep hearing William Shatner in my head telling me to get a life.
I hear lots of foks in my head telling me that, just ignore them, I do.
Watch out...it can get addictive (but in a good way!). I've lost 55 pounds through diet (ok, just eating smaller portions!) and exercise, along with a routine from a personal trainer from our last Disney cruise, and we are looking, well, awesome (DW and I both do it)! :goodvibes
:thumbsup2well done, every day is a trial for me.

Next time we will try dinner I think.

We just got awesome news. our waitlist request came through. We are now in a Cat 2!!!!

I'll leave my ecstatic wife to provide the details, but I can say that the space for the Lake Gatun Party has been found.

Wonderful news! SO glad for you :) D'ya think it will hold all the Dis'ers?

"145 people in 55 staterooms, travelling as 48 parties."

I'm gonna go with no. But we can at least cycle people through ;)

It will at least provide room for the viewing of First Contact. And I've got the DVD.

Last cruise we had two handicapped disboarders travelling at the back of the ship. The balconies back there are huge and I think at one point in the canal we had 40-50 people on their balcony.

I'm heading to WDW in 9 days for a 9 night stay at Saratoga Springs then a 7 night cruise. Anyone have any last minutes tips of things to bring or do like the over the bathroom door shoe holder for all the bathroom items.
:hippie: peace and relaxation.

Yup leave Jacob in the club as long as possable. Say hi to DJ Mike.

That whole watching the canal thing kinda has me nervous - we get an inside cabin because of the direction the beds face (crossways) - but concerned I will be sorry not to have a balcony with chairs. Crazy to worry about it now. That's a year away. I may be able to stand for hours by then.

SO glad you got it, anyway, Jeff! Even if most of us NEVER see the inside of it, lol.

Honestly, on canal day, being on deck 10 forward is ridiculously overrated. There are plenty of outside staterooms with disboarders willing to share, as well as plenty of room elsewhere on the top decks. Deck 4 is nearly deserted. And they all offer great views. Heck, the raising/lowering in the locks is MUCH more dramatic from deck 4 (Where you can shake hands with the guys, once you rise up to them) compared to deck 10 (Where you can barely feel the boat going up). About the only time I'd recommend even wandering to somewhere with a forward view is in the Gaillard cut, just for the dramatic scale of things. Just ask someone on the rail if you can step in front of them for a few seconds to get a picture, take your picture, admire the view, and then go enjoy the transit from any of the other great places to watch it from.

i's are dotted, and t's are crossed. Updated deposits are paid. We're in 8516 now. I'll be picking an evening for First Contact showing (Heck, if we really wanted to, we could show all the good movies (2,4,6,First Contact, and the last one) on various Sea Nights, though I think we'd do much better off going through some of the other Sci-Fi that's out there (Maybe the BSG pilot one night).

And Linda, you are definitely welcome to stop by and see the room. The mother in law is VERY friendly, especially if you bring a glass of Pinot Grigio. The kid might be asleep, but at 3 years old, I expect he'll actually be living in the oceanear club, especially since he is well on his way to being potty trained (Much easier then expected so far). As long as people are disboarders, they'll be welcome. I just don't want random people wandering through. Unless the random people bring a glass of Pinot Gris for the MIL ;)

We're still on the waitlist for a Cat 1. If that happens, we'll have to open for daily tours.

Daily tours? Only if they aren't first thing in the morning. NONE of us are morning people, despite what work might think....

I have a cat 11, but the way I see it, I have a balcony, its called deck 10;)
and its only 2 minutes away, I know its not the same but for a nurse like me, its cheap.

Normally, that's how I feel too, Lynne. Frugal is my middle name. But somewhere I read that the crowds get awful up there and it's SRO, which doesn't work so well for me, being somewhat unsteady on the pins.

We were next door to the Walt Suite on my first cruise. I hope you get it, Jeff & Jen. It will make movie viewing parties SO much easier for y'all. (but frugal grandma, here, is just cringing at the probable cost :headache:)

She'll take you up on the bottle!

Surprisingly it wasn't much more than our 2 cat 4s we had booked.
