So we are in port with the Wonder. Here is the best pic I can get of the new outlook on deck 10. It looks like it goes all the way accros the deck. I guess we shall see.

WOW! Thanks for the update! Just curious, How did they get both ships in port at the same time? Is the wonder sailing tonight too, or tomorrow?

Thanks for the pic, Alan! :thumbsup2

Here's another one I found on another thread:

88 at the harvest festival today - three pavilions of sweaters, soups and Xmas decor. :rolleyes1

Good evening fellow cruisers!
I am not sure where best to ask this question so I thought I'd start here first.

As some of you may know, our (huge) group will be celebrating Christmas/new year in New York (or somewhere in the NorthEast), and we'll be coming back to Orlando around the 4th Jan for the cruise. We didn't want to miss the boat and accomodation in NY seem to be more expensive!

We are not sure where the best place to stay is when we return. Options are near WDW, the Hyatt MCO or the likes, and last but not least stay near the port.

I don't know what/how much there is to do around the various areas and was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving us your thoughts/suggestions?

A few things to take into consideration:
*We will have some people leaving us as we fly in before the cruise and others flying in to join us for the cruise hence the airport thought.
* We will have done WDW theme parks and the Space Centre already
* Transport may be an issue as there will be 21 of us.
* Wouldn't mind shopping some more...

Thank you in advance!

Lindababe, sorry to hear about what happened. Here's to a speedy recovery. :flower3:

PS does anyone know if there are hotels in Orlando who offer luggage storage? Because we're travelling from overseas and will be in the states for 6 weeks, we'd prefer not to have to lug everything to NY.

*NO Question lodgings in New York city are expensive but there are a few hidden gems if you can find them. Some insider may show up to tell you, meanwhile, I'll ask a friend who travels down regularly on business to see what she suggests. Also, with that many people I would definitely contact the 'group' reservation desk at any hotel to see if you can do something there.

*If you stay at the Hyatt, you can take Disney transport to the port, but with 21 people, it might be less expensive to charter an executive bus. I would look at a couple of the limo companies (florida tours, happy, somebody must advertise on this site also- check the transportation board)and see what options you have.

*Luggage storage - suggest you email with John from OwnersLocker, a sponsor of this site and see if he can do anything for you or might have something to suggest. Excess luggage for 21 people could be a lot, so I can't see a hotel doing it gratis. It might even be worth renting a storage locker at some facility near the airport.

Thanks for the pic, Alan! :thumbsup2

What a fab photo :thumbsup2 Do you know which thread you found it on ?

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We're having a quiet one :)

Hope everyone is doing well. We are getting ready to dock in Key West. No sun. Kinda cool but not cold. I would say it is 70. That pic I would guess was taken yesterday morning as the Magic got back to PC.

Have a great day. When we were there in September, it was unbearbly hot. I think I got heatstroke and I was drinking water like nobody's business. :confused3:

Thanks for the updates and ENJOY every minute.

No prob providing the updates. Of course today is the last day of updates for me. I am not geting a Internet plan and of course I will not useing my phone till we get back to PC. Well off to my fave daytime activity on the ship. Eating.

That's too funny! I worked at "Coke Terrace" (as Tomorrowland Terrace was also known as "back in the day") for a summer out of high school...one of the dirtiest, gruelingest, but funnest jobs of my life. That was 26 years ago! :lmao:

Just missed you! I started after I graduated HS in 1986 - It was still sponsored by Coca Cola - we wore all red. I did so love the long silver jackets we would wear from the Lunching Pad uniforms!

A friend of mine made his own red shirt uniform for use at Star Trek conventions. It annoyed him no end when I kept calling him "Ensign Expendable" :rolleyes1
:rotfl:very, very funny!!

LindaBabe - feel better soon!

I hope all of those on the Magic or at WDW are having a great time!! Checked ressie again - still no stateroom.:upsidedow I know we may not be assigned until the end but I keep checking!! DHs Cousins family just booked this cruise! There are in 7002 and will be checking in here soon!

OK have to make our weekly dinner meun and head to the grocery store!

Hopefully watch some football later. Things don't look good for the Angels.

Not much new here - it's another grey chilly day in the north east. Oh well, at least it's not snowing.

Speaking of internet plans. For those of you on the last PC cruise. Did they offer additional internet packages then those traditionally offered on the 7 day?

Nope. It would have been nice, but it did not happen.

If we were a little closer to the airport, I would say just put it in my garage, but we're about 35 miles to the south. Probably a little too far to transport it.

I thought we were crazy taking a 3 week vacation. I can not even imagine 6 weeks.

Thank you! The thought is very generous and kind. But I wouldn't impose all our crap on anyone...

Yeah well, we're probably crazy but when you're paying so much for airfare, travelling such long distances, and turning your whole bodyclock upside down, you might as well make the most of it!

Am currently most jealous of everyone on holidays. Sigh...
