This may sound like a greedy or selfish question, but never having cruised before I dont know the answer. If one were to buy a wine pkg or even a single bottle of wine, is it "expected" that you share with your table mates or is it OK to just keep amongest yourselves?

We've only cruised Disney twice before, but we've had no trouble "keeping" our wine to just DW and myself. There's a Pinot that we really REALLY like, and luckily DCL had it by the bottle on our last cruise, so we stuck with that. Our table mates had the wine package, and so we drank ours, they drank theirs, and we'd pour "tasters" for each other so that we could each sample the other party's wine. There were no hard feelings; in fact we had a grand old time! :goodvibes

She works as a housekeeper for the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I will look her up and say hello when I stay there in January!

Cool. I work monorails. Being a cast member definitely helps offset the costs.
I'll be looking for you, too, Jeff!

I am for this. It gets a little over whelming to try and worry about this when you already have two other trips to worry about.
Yup, my sentiments exactly. It doesn't take much for the old lady's brain to get confused

LindaBabe, if you are interested Chewy Too and Sadie are going on this trip with us and have decided to try and do a blog about it. It will be on the same website. If anyone else is interested and wants the website PM me.

I had hoped your "kids" were going too - in fact, I already told Dimples and OC they'd have friends on the trip! They're excited. We're going to try out some of your photo ops on our cruise November 7th. Blogging would seem to be the way to go - the kids' paper scrapbook is too difficult to share.

My docs for the Nov 7th cruise came today - time is getting short for that one - I started packing. But you know, the time will fly by before this PC cruise too. So much to do, so much to do!

DH is a cast member here at the studio. We love getting our discount onboard..it helps. In 2008 - our discount on the cruise was paid gratuities so that was nice.

Since ours was an onboard transfer that I booked before I started working, we couldn't get the CM discount (I work in the online area). However, I get discounts onboard. :lovestruc

BTW: morning all. They say it never rains in southern california -- but it pours... man it pours!

Hello to all. I have just woken up and it is not raining here at LAX but we are excpecting it. As to all that work at WDW. I will be ariving tomorrow. I leave on the magic Sat. When we get back I am staying till the 29th. What are your work scheduals like. I would like to say hello. Also any chance of a soft opening of Space Mountian?

O.K. 11:45. And the heavens have just opened up here at my appartment by LAX. Thank goodness. We really need this rain.

12:05 and it has stoped raining aboutvas fast as it started. I guess it is going to be one of those days. I wish it wound just rain steadly.

Hi everyone! Just booked. It will be me, DH, DD 5 at cruise time, and DD 18 months at cruise time. Have cruised with Disney twice before. So excited!:yay:

Went to MNSSHP last night. Was GREAT as usual,I thought they were a little more generous with the candy this year! :) The fireworks and parade didnt disapoint me . Hubby got a picture of a pumpkin they had in the travel window on main street with the disney cruise line logo on it. ( Ill post when he uploads them).

I love the paid gratuities! It's so nice knowing they are all taken care of before you board, and all you have to do is add to it if you want.

The discounts onboard are awesome! Since we aren't going with a CM this time, i am going to miss these two discounts. They certainly save you a TON of money!!

And we will. I just can't be apart of a meet thread that is theamed around Captian Jack. That's all.
Thats a real shame, but hey ho, we can get to know you over here before we meet up.

Just remember, the Scots actually get easier to understand the drunker they are.:rotfl2:
:drinking1:drinking1:hyper2:A dinny ken whit yer on aboot.:lmao:

Not that we are lushes, it just we were looking at the premium wine list (love champagne) and it get pretty pricey. Also, can you combine wines from the premium list with the deluxe list or must you buy a specific pkg and only wines from that pkg? Hope this makes sense.
Yes,it does, but I dont even let Len get my wine, and personaly I would prob not accept wine from a table mate. I e-mailed disney to ask if there was going to be wine package for trans atlantic cruise, but not available till next year, i was going to buy it for mums xmas.

Hi Everyone! I have been reading this thread since we booked our PC cruise on Sept 21st, so i thought it was about time i wrote on it. It will be me, Sarah, and my husband, Ben, on this cruise. We are still waiting to make sure he can get off work, but for now everything is a go. This will be my 11th cruise, and Ben's 7th. We have one planed for Nov 1st, and a 3 day next year. I have always wanted to cruise through the PC, so when this opportunity came up, we had to jump on it. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!!
:goodvibes welcome
MOM4MAD

 welcome also

Glad to know there are all these nice cast members on board. You guys deserve every perk you get! (I've seen how some of the traveling public treat y'all :sad2:
I went once with a gal pal who's a cast member. We were seated with two couples, one cast and one not. Turned out the non-cm couple were missionaries. I figured that explained why they were seated with us - they were cast members with a different show.

We were at WDW last night and rode the people mover through and they had it lit up and you could see some of the track and were they were putting parts through the roof opening. All the sign said was "opening winter 2009".
Im not sure when they will consider it winter here since it was 94 yesterday there UGH!

I have to ask. Are you a fellow trekie? Just wondering. And now since I put it out there. Yes I love Star Trek. But like William Shatner said in a geat Saturday Night Lice sketch, it is only a T.V. show.

I think winter in FL is one day in Feb.

and for this quote: Thats a real shame, but hey ho, we can get to know you over here before we meet up.
We can get to know each other here, yes. Also thank you for not flaming me on the whole thing and respecting my right to have my opinion.

You would not believe the flames I have gotten because I do not like a charater. A moderator even gave me an infraction for talking bad about a fictional charater. Said it was a minor personal attack. To this day I have not recived reply from any administrator about it. The thing that really bothers me is that person is still a moderater and most of their posts are very conducending and no it all sonding and they have only been on like four cruises. So how could you know it all. I mean if you had been on over 30 I can see it. Sorry for my rambeling. Back to regulary schedualed posting.

How would it be if we put "sign ups" on hold until the final payment date in September 2010? By then, either people would have made their final payment or dropped out. Then a sign up would have some committment - and the list wouldn't require a million changes, and yet people would still have 4 months to prepare for whatever they were going to participate in.

What about group shore excursions? Don't we want to organize and book those more than 4 months in advance? I've never booked a large group but would think we need to reserve space as soon as possible.
