Jeff - great job on the website! Sure will make coordinating things easier!

The "homework club" is a GREAT idea! Our DD will be in 5th grade next year. I have also already talked to the teacher but maybe a chat with the principal would be a good idea.

Love the journal pages idea also.

And the scrapbooking sessions!! Not sure I will bring too much equipment with me - BTW do they change the luggage limits for the longer cruises!?:rotfl:

Sounds like there will be LOTS to do on this cruise. We are right there with so many others - add in getting ready to build a house - big time savings mode going on. DH has always wanted to see the PC and what better way than DCL? Well at least thats what I keep telling him.

Unless someone else wants to..I would be happy to do the journal pages.

I did some of them for 2008. If someone else wants the job...no problem..just thought I would offer.

Basically, the pages are created and then placed on the website for whoever wants to print them out to make a journal for thier kids or themselves :)

Jacki--Oh, oh where do I sign up for this. :worship: I scrapbook and so do some of my traveling companions. I would love love to do this. How did you work it before. Everyone brings their "supply"; group projects, ?? This sounds just up my alley.

I was an 'attendee' at the class. Linda (seaulater) held the class and did a LOT of work for it. She's done them on several cruises. She designed a book and then made all the elements for everyone to assemble their own. I think we paid $40 (but possibly less). I haven't completed mine (see my tag from the Tag Fairy), but will now probably use it for THIS cruise! :lmao:

SCRAPBOOKING
Seaulater did a class last year on the 5 day double dip! SHE IS FABULOUS. She did an incredible amount of prep work and had a ton of supplies. We did a 6x6 album for the cruise and I finished it - worked out GREAT.

The problem is more getting stuff to the port than on the ship (DCL doesn't tell you you can have more than two bags each, but if you do, they won't make you leave them behind) - I brought a small tool kit (my cutterbee scissors, black, white pens, pushpin and 4x4 mat, pencil, a glue pen and used small tape runners instead of my atg).

In my upcoming cruise I'm taking an album to do with precut titles, photos all printed papers selected, same kit but taking atg instead of tape runners. Some of us are also doing a 'page kit swap'. Each one of us makes enough page kits on our chosen topic - ie pirate night, sail away - for the whole group (~10). We'll get together and swap and have that many pages ready to assemble.

Website

Jeff, thank you! I can see it now AND get to the other pages. Can't scroll over to see the photos though - for some reason my screen is too narrow. Sending you information.

Jeff I finaly got the site to work at work. Still no luck on my iPhone with the scrolling. I am starting to think that my smartphone is not so smart.

I have access to an iphone here at work. I'll check it out.

I see that issue. I'm looking at it and trying to resolve it. I'm glad everyone here understands how difficult it is to make something look good when it's being viewed with at least 3 different programs on 4 different operating systems at 20 different screen resolutions. I've added IE7 to my list of browsers that I use to test, though I only have access to that at home.

Right now, I know the site works (With the exception of the missing horizontal scroll bar on the list page) on

ipod touch
IE8
IE7
FF3.5 on Linux, Mac and Windows
Safari on Mac

And if you aren't using Firefox yet, I highly recommend it. The site is designed for it, I test mostly with it and then correct for IE.

Sigh... I've fixed the scrollbar on the page if you use a narrow list on IE. Still working on Firefox...

Ok, please remember that the only thing that is really active on the site is the Images and Logos. I'm still working on Who is going (The list) and Where we are staying (The map). I'm probably going to add the "Where we are from" with a map of the US and our hometowns.

I've tested this out on IE 8 and Firefox 3.5. No guarantees with older browsers, but I'll do what I can.

I need to code my interface for the database for the lists, and once that is done I will start getting things up.

If anyone's image is missing, let me know what post # it was and I'll get it added.

Love the web site. Will send you a picture soon.

Ok, this is absolutely stupid on firefox's part, and I really don't know why.

If you are using IE, everything will appear fine.

If you are using firefox and a scroll bar is missing, just use the arrow keys and it will let you scroll left/right on a truncated page.

Started the links page today. I'll post anything and everything there which will hopefully help people find info. PM or Email me anything that you think should go there.

You poor guy:hug: You're going to MORE than need a relaxing cruise by the time it gets here! The old lady, for one, will be buying you a drink (since I can't bring you a cake)
