Thank you Jeff, now I get it. On a quick side not cause I love the baseball talk and I could go on for hours. I went to the site on my iPhone and still could not scroll just so you know. Also photocjr and I were throwing around of an idea for the night owls here, and were wondering if maybe we could do something like a late night drink club or something. Again just an idea we were tossing around at work. Now back to the greatest game in the world, even though it is not the most popular, baseball.

True story. Working Epcot one night near exit and I had to cut the line. Swing the gate across and in front of this family of about 5 as the train is leaving. I turn to apologize to them, let them know the next train is about 3 minutes away and so on when I realize they are all in cubs gear.

My statement to them? "Sorry, this train has to leave, but you're cubs fans. You're used to waiting."

You bring up a great point Jeff. You know what really bothers me is that people started to like the Yankees right after 9/11. I can not tell you how many of those people do not know even what burrow they play in. .

I, too, am a pretty crummy speller....AND....with the advancing years half the time I can't even remember what word I want to use, let alone how to spell it!

I have been MIA but my oldest son got married last weekend and I was busy.

I am from Ohio and an Indians', Browns' (don't you feel sorry for me) and Cavs' (that isn't so bad these days) fan from the get go. Some years are just harder than others! And the Indians won the series when???

The teen thread was posted by my daugher, Carly who will be 17 when we cruise. I linked it on the 2011 Wonder Cruise - Panama Canal Cruise head. It would be great to link it here too. Carly has been disappointed there hasn't been any traffic yet.

If you start the thread and post a link to it here, I will participate in it!

And maybe Denise can put a link to any such thread at the head of this (any any other) cruise meet thread.

Yeah I realized after I re-read your initial post. If we manage to finagle a cat 1 or 2 we will have a drinking night there one night. Here's to praying to the DCL Gods for that

Except, and not to be a stickler because even DCL screwed it up, the city is Puntarenas. Punta Arenas is a city in southern Chile overlooking the Straits of Magellan. Of course that might explain why the Canal isn't on our cruise plan.....

It should be recalled that from a fans' point of view there are three leagues in MLB: The American League, the National League and the New York Yankees. The World Series victories and appearances would bear this out, btw, as he NYY have won roughly 25% and appeared in something like 35% of all WS. Statistically speaking, you stand a better chance of getting into a WS if you're in the NL.

But then some kudos are due to the team which did not bail on the greatest city on Earth.
