Hi All!

We are originally from Central CA (a little town north of Modesto). Are you anywhere near there?

Looking forward to the cruise.

Oh. We will probably participate with the FE and/or gift exchange. We are doing FE for the first time on the upcoming cruise.

Hello! A little town north of Modesto could cover alot of ground! LOL - we moved from Tracy, CA in December now we are in the big town of Friant/O'Neals. A little town in Madera county north and just east of Fresno.
So at one time I am sure we were close!!

Still showing a GTY - so will share a stateroom # when we get one. The FE gifting is overwhelming me already!!!:lmao:Can't wait to make another FE!! Hope our house is built by then so I can bust my sewing machine out of the storage unit! I think it still has the thread in from the last FEs - the last thing I sewed before it got all packed up.

Its cool so many of you have sailed together before. We have met great friends on the DIS and are sad none of them are sailing the PC - but it was just something we have to do. One family is doing a med cruise and the others are waiting for the new ships.

You pick small stuff! :lmao: Actually..I had all different size stuff but we started on the ship here in Los Angeles so I will have to rethink. A lot of guests brought pens, stickers, all sorts of stuff. We had over 150 cabins on EB PC in 2008... What I did was bring everything in one suitcase and when it was empty...I used it for my souvineers home!

When we did ours in Halloween 2008, it was broken down by area -- so you didn't FE with every cabin, just ones in your area or on your side of the ship (i.e.: we were midship, so we were in a group with other midship staterooms.

Hello - we're another newbie family to cruising and are taking the plunge on the pc cruise - looking forward to learning lots about preparing for the cruise and what to expect - have already learned so much from lurking on these boards the past few weeks!!!

We are WDW/DVC veterans and have been to DLR in CA and in Paris but it has been our dream to do the Fl/CA Disney bookends so we jumped on this cruise...We are booked in an Oceanview cat. 9c and joining me will be my DH and our DS who will be 4 when we sail...this pc cruise group looks like a lot of fun - looking forward to chatting with everyone to help us get through the long wait!!!

We are excited that you guys are going on this cruise too, it should be a lot of fun. Now we will have lots to talk about when we get together. :)

I can finally post here, we put in our deposit today.

We will be me, DH and DD then 9 and DS then 8. I can't believe we are really going to do this cruise!

I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Jen, at over 3 Jack ought to be in the kiddie club. I don't know about Flounders. Maybe they take the ones who aren't potty trained.

Anybody ever watch Wonderama?

We didnt gift every cabin every time but at one time or another every cabin got something from us...it just depended on how many I had ..some of it I went shopping while the list was still growing so I didn't have enough..some people waited until the final count. We talked about doing a specific area on our ship but decided against it in 2008... it all worked out...there was so much stuff I don't think anyone missed out. One of the neatest things someone gave us was a map of the different countries we were going to and he had a postage stamp feom each country on the location..someone else has pins made..someone else had patches made...very creative...I went shopping at Co. D :lmao: I thought I was going to drive Richard crazy. Whatever the group decides is good with us! It will be lots of fun!

Holy crud that's AWESOME!!!!! Beats the pants off Repo this!

I think it could do with the ports being a little bigger. will work on that

Don't forget about the new Outlook!! I think we should have a DIS sleepover in the new Outlook the night before the PC crossing. I'm cruising 11/29 so I'll take pictures and let you all know how big it is.

Oh, can't wait to see those photos! :thumbsup2 I spent A LOT of time in Cove Cafe a couple of weeks back...it's where I would always find missing members of my family. It was often full, so having a bigger space will be great.

I hear the Outlook will suspend over the hot tubs.......

.

Hubby and I were night owls, but the child has changed that.:scared1:

DITTO! I know how you feel. Last cruise we missed the PJ breakfast because we were still sleeping! This cruise I'm looking forward to it because I know we will be up and ready to go.

Quick question from a someone cruising with a kid and having no clue about the clubs. Jack is listed online as only being eligable for Flounder's. He'll be 3.5 at sailing. I didn't realize that 3.5 year olds were even eligible for Flounder's. Any idea what's going on?

I know that kids must be potty trained to go to the kid's club. You might need to call them or possible change it at the port and confirm with them that he is potty trained. I would register him but don't worry about it too much, the kids club will definitely not be full on this cruise.

Ok, the old lady is losing her grip here! I would SWEAR I wrote a long winded post about FE gifts and other stuff before I went out, and now it isn't here. I even attempted to Multiquote, which failed. My memory must be worse than I thought.

OK, near as I can remember -

Love the two princesses Idea with "a wonderful homecoming"

Fish Extender

We had an early suggestion that we *NOT* assign days for delivery. That certainly finds a sympathetic audience with me, since I never know which day my bones will let me make the hike. If we see a lot of concern about a lopsided distribution, we'll figure out some method of evening it out - we have LOTS of time.

On the Sept 2008 double dip, we had 120 cabins and it was do-able. It took me two days to get all the deliveries done, but it worked out - and everybody had stuff every single day with no schedule.

What to put in? Think Small, flat, or consumable! One year I made photo book marks, we've also had matchbooks with lifesaver inside, pens, key chains, post cards, arkansas diamonds, luggage tags, there's a million things and they needn't cost a lot. I'd tell you what I was making this year, but Glindamood is on both those cruises, so my lips are seald. let me just say small, flat and not consumable. lol

-------------------------

Wonderama is pretty cute too. It reminds me of the old 50's bowlerama - oh brother am I dating myself.

PS to night people - I will be up to say good morning as you all head for your beds, lol

Thats really awesome! You got my vote for this!

I had thougth about something like " wondering" through the canal " but like your better LOL

We also got our cabin switched today farther back to 7110. Anyone ever been close to here? I was leary about being so close to the elevators but I like the rear of the ship.Seems to be less movement for me:sick:

We are in 7094, so just a few doors away from you.:) We were by the midship elevators on the PC and never had any issues whatsoever. Plus it was very convenient.

They don't tell you that 3 year olds can go to Flounders, but they actually default all 3 yo to Flounders until you fill out the registration and say they are toilet trained.

Hubby and I both work nights so were usually up although as we get older and were in port all day we had nights were we conked out early!

I think this time I will skip camping out on deck during the PC too. Sitting on our verandah and room service sounds like a plan :) What was funny is we had the ship that fueled us right below our balcony the night before we went through the PC when we lined up in the bay , and they were out taking pictures of us while we were taking pictures of them.

The fish extender gifts were great on the WB PC in 2008 and we also got some nice gifts from Disney left on our bed.

Thats good to knowabout the elevators! Thats great youll be so close so we know were to send beth when we need a break LOL JK For the Baltic we are in the VERY front of the boat because there are 5 of us . Im not thrilled about it but Ill survive!

Isnt deck 7 where the "secret" back deck is? We stood out there going through the the PC and saw all the digniteries go out for pics at the last locks. That seemed to be one of the better places to be and we got great pics back there/

I just wanted to put my .02 in about FE gifts. On the WB Repo last time we had kind of a hybrid. People could opt to be "independent" givers or be put into groups. The groups decided via email what they would give and in the case of our group (Hi, Cheri, et al) we each brought a part of the gift and we picked a day to assemble it onboard.

Other groups went in together and had commemorative items made. Someone was responsible for placing the order and bringing everything, and they just divvied up the distribution. thing I liked about being part of a group was that it made the distribution much easier. We each took a deck, I think and we had it all done in about 30 minutes.

Personally, we LOVED getting something every day, rather than having everything all bunched together on just a few days. I know that having to be responsible for a particular day might be a burden for some, but in that case, I don't think anyone would be too upset if someone "skipped" their day and did it on another day instead, but having it organized MOST of the time would be kind of nice.

But that's the only way I've ever seen it done. Perhaps others have more experience and can shar a better way!

Any gift is a good gift, I say! I'm just excited to be able to break out the FE again!

Thank you!!!! I thought it might be something like that but wasn't sure.
If Jack isn't potty trained by then I'll be jumping overboard!
