Well, Alan, how did the pin trading event go? Just got here (Anaheim RV Resort) heading over there tomorrow. Weather is chilly & sunny. Should be a good visit

It went well, I got a lot of stuff I was looking for, so all in all a good night. I think for the pre cruise stay I will be booking 2 value studios for a 36 points vs a 2 bedroom for 50 points.

Here in Minnesota it has been raining, frizzling and some snow today. If it had been a bit colder we would have gotten a ton of snow, which would have been better than all this rain. As the temps drop it will be like an ice skating rink out there.

I too was sad our virtual cruise ended yesterday. I am so looking forward to our real cruise!!

Frizzling?

How funny! My ex-in laws just left the Anaheim RV Resort today for Arizona! they are going to be snowbirds in Quartzite :)

How long will you be in the area?

Got here on Saturday. Will be at DL Sun/Mon, Jay Leno Tuesday, and DL again on Thurs. Wed will be a play day or a go spend my money at the shops instead of the parks day, lol. We head out Friday morning. Dont know if your ex in laws go to Algodones, but that's where we are going when we leave here. For those of you not familiar with Algodones, Mexico it is a border town that consists of pharmacies, dentists, and optical places. Great prices on RXs and such. My son needs a tooth pulled and you can get it done there for $35. Since he has no insurance, that's where we are going. Had to take him to the happiest place on earth before he gets to experience one of the most uncomfortable situations on earth, lol.

Headed to DL on Sunday. Got "selected" to purchase a piece of history pin with Mickey and a piece of railroad spike. Alan, will you be driving the monorail any days next week? Got a 3 day pass, dont know what days we will be there other than Sunday. Anything special happening there next week. Hopefully this rain will be done by then, but a little rain wont stop me. I will be hot on the trail for any new Chip and Dale stuff. Taking our adult kids DS35 DDIL 33. She has only been once in her life when she was 5. Should be a great time for her.

A friend of ours is checking out the cruise. Think they may want to go...the more the merrier.

I'm driving tomorrow actually. But um.. I play with the real trains, not those dinky things out there.

I have however driven the Mark V's once. And the Mark VII's are sexy. I'll let my wife tell you the story about her conversation with one of their cast members out there that really shows the difference between the two systems.

A CM on the monorail platform at DL said that they had been really busy lately. He told me that they were moving 10,000 guests a day that week. I really did try not to laugh as I said WDW moves that in an hour. On a regular day.
They are sexy trains, can't wait to see the new ones at DL.

Hey all!

Not sure if anyone posted this, but Travel Channel is showing the Disney Cruise Line program THIS Thursday. Check listings... I think it is airing twice that night. :woohoo:

I will have to look for it. Does anyone know if the Travel Channel sells this as a dvd. I would love to buy it.

Its very cold here in Arizona this morning. The rain stopped but for us it is chilly!

Im back from switzerland, it was gorgeous as ever, the alps are AMAZING

I lost my cabin mate today :(

I hope so too. If you think about it looks like the stars just may be in place for that. One thing I did forget, someone was asking about back to reality. Well I can tell you that on the Wesbound 08 I was gone for 19 nights. 4 at WDW and 15 on the Magic. I could not wait to sleep in my own bed again after about night 14. Now do not get me wrong, it was a great trip and one of the reasons I can't wait to do it again. Just after time I miss my bed that's all. Same thing happens last year when I was gone the last two weeks of Oct. Had a great two week vacation, but man, was I happy to see my own bed.
My own bed was AMAZING last night, I have memory foam matteress and pillows, OMG SO comfy.
Hi everyone! My name is Pam and DH Mike and I will be on the Panama Canal cruise also! Granmaz , zakerdog, and CSNcruiser told me about this thread so I thought I'd come over and introduce myself! It'll take me awhile to get caught up reading- but I hope to get to know you all (at least online) before next Jan.
Hello Pam and Mike:goodvibes
We loved our rotation as we were in the formal restaurants on formal night etc.. we were in Parrot Cay for Pirate Night... but it was just luck..we were not allowed to request anything special..still..I am hoping for it again..it felt nice to be dressed up in formals in the formal restaurant. Although I know now everyone of course got that...
I was pleased last year as we were in AP for formal night and it matched my dress:thumbsup2 silly but true!
Is it depressing that this makes me a little sad?
Yes, cause you can re book on board:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

An idea for your summer shopping, particularly the sales, in preparation for the cruise. On the last PC Repos we had a Mexican Night. Over here there are loads of Ladies Mexican style tops with embroidery on, so perhaps you could look around later and pick up a bargain. 2 years ago there was nothing here like that available, but last year it was quite fashionable and looks like it will be this year too.

Many of the men wore Mexican wedding shirts such as these, though I think Ebay did a good business!!! A US friend picked us one up from Ebay over there and it was pretty nice.

good thinking!
Pilot :)

(It is the highway in the sky!)

(Driver is fine, really, I'm just trying to push post count)
I knew were rightly going to say that!!! talking of pilots, I just read the autobiography of "sully" hero pilot, it was truly an amazing read!

Hi everyone!

It's finally a sunny day here in Southern California! We are up and about..going to get out today.

Today is the start of Girl Scout cookies time here for us so we are going to head out to try and sell some cookies! My daughter's goal is 1500 boxes so she has alot of work to do!

I hope everyone has a terrific weekend! We are heading over to the park on Monday to start celebrating my DD birthday week!

Too bad she can't ring my doorbell - I lost my source of cookies a few years ago and I miss them.

Hello all! Been busy organising our med cruise so haven't checked in for a while. While we're on the topic on weather, its been the other extreme over here. It was 42 degrees yesterday (around 107 F). Hope you're all surviving the cold ok!

What is up with the extremes? Hopefully it cools off for you and soon. And, welcome back.

And welcome home Lynne too! Hope you had a great time.

I have another vote of no rain on top of our snow. For as much as I whine about the snow - it needs to come and stay until spring is here. Raining on top of it and then freezing makes for huges messes. Plus scouts are all getting ready for winter carnivals and they need nice snow, not snice cuz you can't build an igloo out of that stuff very well.

Have a good day everyone.

Alps pics are AMAZING!! Glad you had a good time!! A bit cloudy here today but no rain!!:yay::cool1:

Just wait a couple of days...:sad2:

Not much to report - just adding to the post counts. DDs have been watching the DVD my Brother put together of our Disneyland Trip this past November. DD2.5 keeps telling DH "I go to Disneyland Peeze"

:rotfl::thumbsup2Kids are so darned cute sometimes!

Tami enjoy your trip! My Mom and StepDad live in Brawley and go to Algodones quite a bit - apparently there is a great Chinese food restaurant there!?:confused3

Nothing much going on... just thought I would add to the thread count :)

Ran errands today to buy my daughter her birthday present and finish up everything for her birthday party this coming weekend!

Heading off to Disneyland tomorrow with my DD and 2 of her friends to celebrate thier birthdays.. they all have birthdays in the same week.

Enjoy your day!

Im back from switzerland, it was gorgeous as ever, the alps are AMAZING

Thanks for the pictures from your trip! The snow is beautiful, but I think I'll take my snow in the form of the snow cones at the Japanese Pavilion in the World Showcase area of Epcot. I still have nightmares about shoveling our car out after the snow plow went down our street when we lived just outside Washington, DC - and that was in 1983!

We had a great week at WDW - arrived on the 13th, bringing sunny, warm weather with us. Sure glad we had decided NOT to do the January Marathon weekend - brrrrrrr! I'm happier that I'll be doing the Princess 5K - Auntlynne will be there, too. Anyone else joining us?

In addition to getting some super pins while at WDW, I spent part of a couple of afternoons participating in the recreation activities at the Wilderness Lodge. Managed to tie on the Trivia contest both days. In addition - in honor of Auntlynne, Shoshie & Adam, and Sandy, the princess half of Goofprincess - I played bingo. They played 5 games each day and I managed to win each day. Surprisingly, the prizes weren't Disney items - instead. I came home with "Taboo" and "The Game of Things" - and gave my other game choices to two children - one doesn't need to schlep everything home!

We had a really nice time - visited with friends; ate in great restaurants; rested; watched Snow White while sitting on a lounge chair on the beach; hit all the parks at least once, and even made it to Downtown Disney.

Glad to be home, even if it has been raining. We head to Disneyland on February 13th for three days. Then it's stay home until September. Guess I can cope with that.

Hope everyone is warm and not "frizzling." Love that word!
