Quick post - about to head out to Cubs....

The Fed-Ex man has just been ! YAYAY ! :cool1: Makes it all so real, doesn't it ?

I have a huge favour to ask... anyone who has a DD or DS who was posting in the teen / tween thread - would you mind responding to my DD1's post ? She'd love to get a reply or two to her post, as she's a little nervous about meeting new kids in the club (she reckons she's going to hang out by the pool and eat pizza all day with intermittent trips to watch a movie or two :rolleyes: ) I'd love for her to meet some other kids her own age :)

Anyway, must fly - we're making white Christmas and madeira cake truffles... it's the first time I'm running the whole meeting ! :scared1:

So, we cant get the car out, in fact I couldnt even get the door open this am there is so much snow, weve got no power either for the last 24 hours, I cant get to work, I had to walk to my mums for bfast and internet! as were all electric!

We saw your weather on our weather channel today. YUCK. We are somewhat used to that sort of thing and it still looks terrible! Hang in there!

OH...we have boxing day here too!

What part of the address does it not like?

Just wondering if it is your billing address that is causing problems (I have a similar issue when ordering things for the UK - sometimes they don't recognize my US address, so I have to fudge it!)

The site isn't liking the line where I've inserted the POR address. For some reason, its not recognizing it. DH is on the phone now to the store while I'm at work...
 
Just an update that I *STILL* don't have anything on the wine meet and greet from Disney. I'll send them another email this week.

Also, has anyone booked jeep rental in Aruba? I'm looking for who you went with so I can book mine.

LA transportation is done. Disney transportation is done. Reservations at DL done for meals except for one which I need to do tonight. (Large party so need to call later).

Now I just need to design the door magnets and get that done.

Also, just as a small note, today is the last major update on the site for a few days. I need to devote free time to another web project. That should wrap up by this weekend. I *PROMISE* that the first thing I do next week is get all the pre/post cruise stays up.

I'll still be updating room numbers and what not as time allows, but its gonna be a little less frequent this week. I do think most lifeboats are now updated (I didn't run actual numbers).

I think they must be running a little slow on a lot of things, Jeff. Val hasn't got many answers, either. And shouldn't they be calling about Palo for the platinums about now?

You're doing a GREAT job, juggling 'the balls' of your life including our website - just you guys remember to spend a little time taking care of YOURSELVES, ok;)

If all goes well we will leave for FL tomorrow. It will probably take us at least 3 days.Keep us in your prayers for a safe trip. I don't know how much internet access we will have on the way down. Looking forward to getting to warmer weather. I will have a lot of cleaning to do since we have not been there since we came back from the Med cruise in May.
We plan on going to WDW for Dec.9 and 10 for the Candlelite Procession and then on the 14th for MVMCP. Anyone else going to be there then?
 
There is some concern about the room tour schedule. The concerns seem to be how long this tour will be and if those opening their rooms will have an opportunity to view other cabins. One idea is when we know the time we will be doing the tour we assign times for each deck. This would allow the people who are opening their rooms to know when to open and close their rooms - allowing them to see the rooms on the other decks. How do you all feel about that? If you like the idea, who much time should we spend on each deck?
Here is the breakdown of the number of rooms currently on each deck

Deck
8 – 4
7 – 5
6 – 5
5 – 4
2 – 2
1 - 1

My suggestion would be a time frame for each deck. Maybe overlap a couple at a time so if people are done, they can move forward and it might spread things out a bit but yet not to rush people either. I just put 30 mins as an example, may be too long or not enough time.

For example:
1:00-1:30 Deck 1
1:15-1:45 Deck 2
1:30-2:00 Deck 5
1:45-2:15 Deck 6
2:00-2:30 Deck 7
2:15-3:00 Deck 8 (longer because of the suites and we know everyone wants to see them :goodvibes)

Again, this is just a suggestion. I have never been part of a room tour so this may be way off of what will work.
 
No docs here as yet either but I did call today to confirm that they have been sent and sure enough - they did go out. So I will just have to be patient and wait.

Jenn - I hope school and all is going well and soon, you will be able to give yourself a big pat on the back for a job well done!

Had one of the missing people get back on board, just waiting for them to resend their info.

Numbers continue to grow as I added 1 more state room and 2 others split.

349 people in 135 staterooms, traveling as 108 parties.
This is 14.54% of the normal guest capacity(2400) of the Wonder.
This is 12.93% of the maximum guest capacity (2700) of the Wonder.
This is 15.39% of the available staterooms(877).

I will have my DD (14) post to the teen/tween thread this afternoon when she's home from school. We are located across the hallway from your cabin & DD would love a buddy to hang out with at the pool, movies, activities!!

Good luck with the Cubs meeting -- DD is 'going for Gold' (Girl Scout's Gold Award)...long road but worth it!

good luck with the Gold! DD1 started but didnt finish and DD2 didnt go on in HS. Aand I was leader for 11 years! (3 with first DD and 8 with second. First had a better leader for the rest of her time that's for sure, but DD2 wanted to quit if i didnt lead. flattering, or scary!)

Apparently our cruise is not sold out. The DCL site lists categories 10C, 11 B & 11C and 5A available for the 5A it gave room 7044 available. Val

I've been looking too. At any time, I've seen a combination of inside, outside, and verandah rooms available. I really doubt we'll sell out. Its just too hard of a time for people to make.

Whew, made it through the last 5 days of post!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. DH had to work the night before and morning of but was in home in time for a big lunch. I made a traditional Thanksgiving feast and although it was just our household, we still had a nice time.

Thanksgiving evening, we put up the tree and a few decorations up around the house. We tried to finish up our shopping yesterday but still have a couple more people to buy for. FIL is so tough! I never know what to get him.

I am still in for the photos!
 
If I make it through this week. I've had to rewrite the first half of my thesis this week on top of all the rest of the projects due this week. And work has been kicking my behind. I do not have a backup, or anyone who can do my job. All I can do is prepare people to do the immediate tasks while I'm gone and pray that nothing breaks. So on top of my regular job, I'm creating a how to guide on how to do my job. By the time I go to bed at night, I'm so exhausted I can't even see straight.
HOWEVER, I bought my first mini-skirt since high school and if that wasn't surprising enough, I actually like myself in it. I've never have Heidi Klum's body, but I'm pretty darn happy with what I've got (which is officially a US size 4 - haven't seen that since sophomore year of college - 1996 to be exact). I still have work to do to get things how I want them, I'm I'm pretty certain I'm done with my diet. Hello normal (but very modified) regular eating!

I will be performing in the candlelight processional on the 9th at the two later shows :)
 
We will be seeing the show only on the 10th. Will you be doing that one too.

Question???? We are platinum and a benefit is no charge at Palo's. I made a reservation for us already. I just figured the charge would be removed when we got there. Has someone actually done this already? How does it work???? :confused3
