Question???? We are platinum and a benefit is no charge at Palo's. I made a reservation for us already. I just figured the charge would be removed when we got there. Has someone actually done this already? How does it work????

Gail will have to answer this one - she's Platinum and this is my first trip as one. It was my understanding that someone calls and arranges Palo for us.

I would need first and last name and DCL's reservation number for each reservation that you want for what dining rotation that you are wanting

Belinda - I'm assuming you're wanting to cut down on luggage to the US, hence the Disneystore order to POR ? They deliver REALLY quickly to Sydney. I've never had an order take longer than 5 days to reach us here, although postage is a killer sometimes ! Good grief ! You leave next week !

My kids break up from school for 2 months on Friday - I can't wait ! AND I've cut back on my work hours considerably, so that the latest I'll finish until we leave will be midday ! YAY ! Means I've got time to get stuff done and do some arts and crafts / Christmas-y stuff with the kids.

Oh, my FE arrived from Gradysmom, too - it's sooo lovely

Final tidbit - Cub Scouts was a HUGE hit last night ! I had been stressing a bit, as our cub pack has 35 kids, but it went swimmingly, and the parents are asking me for recipes and tips now too

Zazzle - I'm sorry, I've forgotten who asked, but I'm sure someone else has had problems with having things passed with them before - to do with copyright ? I have ordered a t-shirt from Vistaprint wihtout any problems - the print quality's not great, but I'm still going to order a batch for each person, as they're a lovely souvenir.

FE - has everyone ordered / made / bought their FE gifts ? I'm waiting on my first batch which should be here tomorrow, and I'm well chuffed with what I'm hoping they'll look like. I'm also going to get a few other bits and bobs which I'll mail ahead to BWI.

Well, so much for short - I"m picking DD1 up from school this afternoon - I'm LOVING a midday finish as opposed to 3.20. So much more civilised !

Well, we have a new family member - DD got a new dachshund puppy. Since the next few weeks are going to be very hectic with a couple of trips to Dallas, a trip to Atlanta for DD, and of course, the cruise, he'll be living with my friend until we get back. We were not going to get him since we have so much going on right now but my friend offered to keep him until we are ready. He came from her aunt's dog and she knew how much Haley has wanted her own dog. Anyway, DD gets to go visit him everyday and he can come spend some time with us here. He's 7 weeks old, born 10/10/10! She named him Frodo Baggins since he's short like a hobbit! He's so cute and it's fun to watch him with our other dachshund.

This was my Halloween costume a few years back. (I'm 4'10" and had the gypsy skirt, scarves, & jewelry with the black & white striped shirt and an ankle shackle with chain connected to the "iron" ball that I carried in a velvet cushion instead of a crystal ball.) I named my character Madame Turnandkoff and resurrected her for my improv group's Halloween show this year.

In other news... CRUISE DOCUMENTS ARRIVED!!!!! WHEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

And I went a bit bonkers at the outlet shops this weekend and am not allowed to buy any more clothes for the cruise. Oops.

Hello all. Well I know I have not been posting for a while. I hope all is well with everyone. No cruise docs yet. I did put DME on my pre cruise stay today. Just wanted to share my great frustration with you all. I understand the Cast discounts and all, but why FL rate and no CA rate. I mean come on the ship is being moved over here. Also I can't figure out why they would offer a TA rate but not a interline rate. Oh well at least for now we have our room. I will be honest but I really do not want to get into the reasons but there is a 50/50 chance right now we may have to cancel. If you asked me last week I would have said I think we are canceling. I really do not want to get into it on the forum. Things are looking like we will not cancel but only time will tell. I guess you can say we are still planing on going and doing the approperate planing to be ready to go. That's a good thing. Also rest assured all is fine and getting better.

Kay and Linda, thank you for your generous offers of assistance. After a long phone call, the customer service lady managed to sort it out. They were not sure what happened. We got an extra $12 off in the end which was great!

Sally, things are beyond crazy at the moment. I have 8 days left to finalise everything and pack. I will be away for 2.5 of those...We leave on Dec 9!!!

Charlotte, we'll be at WDW on Dec 10 but we're going to MVMCP on the 17th.

I've been watching our mailbox like a hawk, but still no docs yet. Keeping fingers crossed that they'll arrive tomorrow. I did get most of online check-in completed. I'm leaving the credit card business to DH, though.

I'm also anxiously awaiting arrival of FE gifts. I ordered them a couple weeks ago and hope they arrive soon. I just really want to see how they turn out.

Life has been crazy lately. Most of my free time has been spent working on DD's application to college, I mean Pre-K. It feels like I've been filling out a college app though. Competition is stiff to get in for Pre-K so it has to be just right. (There are only 28 spots total, half boys and half girls.
The school gets at least 120 apps for Pre-K so not good odds. And it's even worse for DD since they like to keep sibling/alum kids to be 50% or less - DH is alum, DS is currently in K.) But the app is just about done, just needs a bit more proofing then I'm hitting the submit button.

Hanukkah starts Wednesday night and for a change I'm actually ready. Just have to finish wrapping kids' presents and all will be good. DD's class Hanukkah party is on Friday and I think I'm going to have the kids make edible dreidles, always a big hit cuz it's lots of sugar. (marshmallow, Hershey kiss, pretzel, frosting... YUM!)

If anything, when you go to Palo's just remind them you are platinum and they will remove the charge. We got charged for it and when we got the bill we just politely asked if we were supposed to be charged. They removed and apologize profusely. No problems. Hope that helps.

I am somewhat behind with all my cruise preparations. I have now ordered the bulk of the materials that I need for my Fish Extender gifts and I am hoping that they will arrive today or tomorrow. Graham will have a chess match tomorrow and provided that the materials arrive by then, I will spend the evening finishing my magnets and assembling my Fish Extender gifts. I am also pondering a couple of other projects that I need to make a decision on.

DD's class Hanukkah party is on Friday and I think I'm going to have the kids make edible dreidles, always a big hit cuz it's lots of sugar. (marshmallow, Hershey kiss, pretzel, frosting... YUM!)

I just got all 8 of DW Hanukkah gifts today. It is funny, I am the Jewish one and she is the Christian. So we do both. We both get 8 Hanukkah gifts for each other and one Christmas gift. Thanks for all the well wishes. Like I said we are running our life right now like we are going. The signs are that we will not have to cancel, but there is a chance. Thanks again, and I hope I get to meet some of you in 37 days.

Jewellery Making Workshops

I still have 3 to 4 spaces each on those two Jewellery Making Workshops. At the moment I have two people signed up for each of those two workshops. Ideally I would need 5 people per workshop. If you are interested, please let me know as I will have to start collecting payments and ordering materials by the weekend.

Workshop 1

Pirates, Princesses and Fairies

We will make three different items: a key chain, a cellphone charm and a bag charm. They will have a pirate, princess and fairy theme respectively. Cost per person will be GBP15 for the materials.

Workshop 2

Formal Night Jewellery

Would you like to make your own jewellery for formal night. Here is your chance. We will work with memory wire to make a choker, bangle and pair of earrings. You choose the main colours. Cost per person will be GBP15 for the materials.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

HOWEVER, I bought my first mini-skirt since high school and if that wasn't surprising enough, I actually like myself in it. I've never have Heidi Klum's body, but I'm pretty darn happy with what I've got (which is officially a US size 4 - haven't seen that since sophomore year of college - 1996 to be exact). I still have work to do to get things how I want them, I'm I'm pretty certain I'm done with my diet. Hello normal (but very modified) regular eating!

If you are wearing a size 4, I do NOT want to hear you talking about your weight any more, young lady! THAT is AMAZING. (Old lady here has not worn a 4 since she was a toddler)

I will be performing in the candlelight processional on the 9th at the two later shows

AWESOME! I SO wish I was there for it! My friend Pam sings in the cast choir - it always makes me choke up.
