I am getting a new IPhone in 2 weeks for my birthday.

Me and pretty much my whole family have the new Iphone it is awsome. We Face Time eachother ALL the time. Face Time is by far the coolest feature......there was only one small downside to Face Time and that was the fact that it only worked in a Wi-Fi hotspot, BUT that is NO LONGER a problem......theres an app for that!!!! When you get your new Iphone download the app called Tango, this will allow you to make face to face calls without a Wi-Fi connection.

'Morning All :)

Harole Ann - our thoughts are with you and your DD as you wait out this time. And I'm glad you've had family around you for a tough week.

Apples - I love my itouch, but don't have a need for an iphone. DH just bought the new Samsung, and loves that too. He needs it, though - 2 hours on the bus to/from work each day :3dglasses

LA Dilemma - I think I've worked it out - I've found a co. who will do a private tour with p/u from port, and will include time at the Grove. It's not cheap, but it eliminates ALL stress from trying to get a vehicle, navigate, traffic, etc. And it includes pretty much everything we want to see/do. YAY !

I'm going to be doing most of my Christmas shopping this weekend - one of the perks of working for such a large corporation is that we get a larger-than-normal employee discount for one weekend before Christmas at all their stores - including online, so I need to make up a list today. That's on top of our day / night out on Saturday, and an Out-n-About with Cub Scouts all day Sunday - we're off to Cockatoo island.

One thing's for sure - with so much on, the time is absolutely flying - we leave home 5 weeks from tomorrow.

Belinda - how are YOU going - you're 3 weeks from tomorrow, yes ?

I think that's about it. I've got LOTS to do today - including making preparations for tomorrow night :)

Cheers,
Sally :)

Sally, could you point me in the direction of the company for the LA tour. Maybe this is something that would work for us, too.

Well, I have spent a happy couple of hours making magnets. I have two to finish off. I messed up on three of them so I have to start over with those. That is just giving me an excuse to get other graphics printed as well and make more magnets.

Talking of magnets, does anybody know who made the following designs:
CircleDock
CircleMickey
Circle1Wonder

I really would love to make magnets with those, but get a low resolution warning when I try to order them as prints. Has whoever made them got those in a higher resolution?

My new camera arrived and I am in love. I just gave it a very brief test run at work. I did not try very hard, there was no natural light and I did not use the flash and yet the result was stunning. I will have so much fun with this on the cruise.

I have the original files for

PCCruiseBadge2a.jpg

and

PCCruiseBadge3acopy.jpg

I thought the full size files were on my photobucket account. If you can't download them from there, just email me and I can send you the original files.

I can't remember who modified these with different center images, but I am sure they can send you the images too.

BTW - if you get an issue with copyright, the center images are all from photos taken by me (I was thinking that some companies might question the Mickey Image - but if I show you the full image, it is Mickey, Minnie and my DD on the ship). I don't have an issue with fellow PC cruisers using the above graphics I put together for this cruise.

Oh, I could put together a 'lifeboat' one too.

It's an amazing feeling and I knew that I was starting to look better when my oldest told me the other day (in getting ready for a homecoming game/dance after)

DD: "Mom, if you wear those shoes with those pants, it will make your butt stand out."

Mom: "Is that bad?"

DD: "No, just depends on what you want to show."

Mom: "Do I look bad?"

DD: "Um, no........"

Mom: "What's the problem?"

DD: "Your all married, guys will be looking at you......"

I wore the heels with the pants. :teeth: At my age, I need all the accolades I can get. :lmao:

That is just great!!!!!!!:cool1:

I have had my room assignment since I booked, but I have been checking my mom's ressie daily for the last week for theirs. I guess one of these days it will pop up on there:)

We are booked at the Marriott at Port. Couldn't pass up a nice 2 bedroom for what I had the Hyatt booked for.

50 days, time sure is flying:goodvibes

I have not posted for awhile. We won our playoff game Saturday & now we travel to Charleston,WV to play the #1 ranked team in the state. I am going on the charter bus which leaves at 7 am!!

My dd house closing got delayed by her buyer so instead of moving yesterday she is moving tomorrow. Also, she got her biopsy report back & it is suspect so now she must have breast surgery. She is waiting for an appointment with the surgeon. I am very concerned for her & will be happy when I get down there.

Garry's birthday was Monday & I took my two youngest grandsons out for dinner. It was good to be with them on a difficult day for me.

It has not been a good week, but I am looking for brighter days!

As least I have my clothes picked out...now if they will only fit in the suitcases!!

Harole Ann, I hope you don't mind if i tell you my story. I had a suspicious mamogram. Then suspiciious biopsy. biopsy normal, but i was going for mamograms every THREE months, then they extended to SIX months. then there was suspect stuff again. Had a "hospital" biopsy. normal but had to go back 6 months because of it. something else suspect. Well to make an already long story end, it was ALL normal. all the tests biopsys, lumpectomys (well, one) came back normal!! Hooray! I tell you this because I want to throw a little pixie dust and hope and prayer your way that while things are a pain in the a....oops wrong end, and worrisome, it's very possible it's normal, and i hope for you two it is!!

Thank you so much for your encouraging story and pixie dust. I can use that right now. My dd is very optomistic as there is no history of breast cancer in our family which is a plus. My mother always said the things you worry about the most are the things that never happen, so Mom I hope you are guiding me through this as you did so many times.

I just don't feel like I can deal with any more right now with all I have going on with my family (daughter-in-law issues), I need my caring, loving family healthy and well. Just 19 more days and I will be on my way! I really have to get busy!:laundy::scared1: At least Christmas presents are bought and wrapped for here. The ones I am taking with me are not as I thought they would fit in the car better unwrapped taking up less room. I do not buy that much for Christmas. My budget is slim!:santa:

Tonight they had a special one time showing of the Les Miserables 25th anniversary concert at theaters all over So. Cal. DD and I just got home! I took her to see the live production at the Curran in SF when she was 6 but she doesn't remember it very well. I was so greatful to find this showing now that it is no longer touring as I feel that I will have done a great thing if she grows up loving Les Miz!
Oh how I LOVE that production! I love it more than...dare I say it?...Mickey!

If you get a chance, I highly recommend seeing it. Check fandango to see when it is coming to a theater near you. Since it is a recording of the concert and not the play, it is not AS powerful, but the music still brings me to tears! At the end they brought back the original '85 cast and the original Valjean sang "Bring Him Home."

Oh, SO good!

I'm on a Les Miz high, so I will leave you with my favorite line..."And remember, the truth that once was spoken...to love another person is to see the face of God..."

Nighty night!

Thanks for this. I really appreciate it. Funny enough, the other circle designs just worked. It was just those three that I got the low resolution warning for.

I am still in the lifeboats, too. I even made a magnet with your lifeboat graphic.

I love Les Miserables. I went to see it for the first time on a school trip to London in 1993 and have seen it too many times since to count.

Harole Ann- Our prayers are with you and your family. I know what it is like to go through.

Did anyone read about the "wave phones" that DCL is going to have for the passengers? They are like talkie talkies and can be used only on the ship and CC. Right now there is no charge for them unless you need more than two. Might not take our own walkie talkies.

I read about those. That will be nice, especially if it continues to be free. It will be nice to be able to get in touch with family members without having to find a phone on the ship and hope that they're actually in their stateroom.
