I hope all the assignments are made now!!! How exciting for you lifeboat folk.

Ok..I have looked it up...we are more forward (my fear) then I would have liked but that's ok...we are in an adjoining cabin which I would have preferred not to be but I took a chance and can't complain much..I'm on the ship! :cool1:

I'm looking at the wifi one as well. I don't see any reason to get the 3G especially since I'd like to get the iPhone down the road in a few months. I'm planning on using it mostly for games, internet, a few movies and sadly school work since I'm in school right now and school doesn't go on vacation just b/c I do.

We both have iPhones so we didn't really need the 3G one either. Between work, home, wifi hotspots, and our iphones, there wasn't a need to get internet on the iPad as well. I hope you enjoy it!!

OMGOSH OMGOSH! I have a cabin..I have no idea where it is..I was so shocked to click on it and there was a number!

:banana::banana::banana:

:banana::banana::banana:We're in 7602!!!!

I think I'll be very happy with it. My DH & I are Apple junkies, so it's already a winner in my book.

We are in 7528. I am on the phone with DCL...and they don't know the answer to my question....does anyone know if you are in an ajoining cabin if you lose out on the trunk?

So...I just get off of the phone with DCL...I was informed that they are taking the trunks out of a lot of the cabins ..no reason why but here is the big bummer part...even though I have been assigned a cabin... if you get a GTY on a discount - you can be moved around several times until you check in at the port :scared1:

So they suggested I not put my cabin number on anything as quite often we get moved....bummer...

We were in a veranda room 6606, on our last cruise, with an ajoining cabin door and it had the trunk too. Val

Des - since Disney said they're removing them, i'm not sure how accurate this will be, but this is a link to the thread which has a spreadsheet with all the steamer trunks for many of the cabins listed....

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2498298&highlight=steamer+spreadsheet

Corinna - the co. I've booked with is this.... http://www.latraveltours.com/LAX-Long-Beach-Tours.html

Can't hang around to post today - far too much to do. At least it's a perfect inside day - blustery, cold, miserable - about 18C - more like late Autumn than late Spring. (and shhhhhhh..... I've cancelled my dental appt this afternoon - it was a bad time in order to make magic happen tonight, so I'm going next week instead).

Won't be around much on the weekend either. I'm officially old tomorrow :laughing: ;)

Have a great day / evening all.

Cheers,
Sally :)

Thanks for the link!

If you are participating in Secret Mickey - please remember to check the list on the website before the cruise for the most up to date (I know Jeff will be updating it as well on the ship).

There have been so many changes with cabins, my original list is very out of date.

Thanks!

Congrats to everyone getting out of the lifeboats! :cool1:

Ok thats it! I am checking right now....
:cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

6040!!!

appears we did not get an upgrade but thats ok - we are in a good location I think!

YAY!! out of the life boats!!

Did anyone read about the "wave phones" that DCL is going to have for the passengers? They are like talkie talkies and can be used only on the ship and CC. Right now there is no charge for them unless you need more than two. Might not take our own walkie talkies.

The funny thing is we were told about this on our October 2009 Western Caribbean cruise. We had been told that this would be installed while the Wonder was in dry dock, which was around the same time that we were cruising on the Magic. I never heard anything about this afterwards and thought they had scrapped it.

OMGOSH OMGOSH! I have a cabin..I have no idea where it is..I was so shocked to click on it and there was a number!

Congratulations on your room assignment. We are still in the life boat.

Thanks for the link. I will have a look at this when I am back on Monday.

Well, I had a surprise when I got to work. I was expecting to fly to Dubai on Saturday afternoon, but I am now flying tomorrow evening. On Saturday I will just chill by the pool and get some sunshine. Sunday I have my assessments and my interview in the morning and then in the evening I will meet up with some other people from my office who are also in Dubai this weekend to visit the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) and to have some dinner. Monday I fly back home. At the moment I am booked on the afternoon flight, but I hope that I can change this to the morning flight as this is operated by the A380.

:cool1: We got our room assignment too! We were 5C gty and assigned room 8008 which is a category 4, so a little bit of pixie dust for our first Disney cruise.
Stateroom reports say it is right under the spa so it is super quiet :banana:.

Question - who here booked a rental car out of Long Beach through Hertz in Lomita??

I just talked to them and was told they don't pick up unless they have "an available driver", there is no shuttle and they don't deliver cars.

They recommend taking a taxi the 6 miles and picking up the car.

Um...????

We are coming in to port at the World Cruise Center in San Pedro right?

Ok checking with Enterprise right now - they will pick up - they are right across the highway - but to the black hole that is Fresno I would be charged $150 one way rental fees.

We are doing this. Will double check the situation.

Got the phone cover from eBay also. Here is another from same seller. He also has a listing that includes a screen protector for $12.95. It's brand new in box and packaged very well.

I think I got the shirt so cheap because the seller did not advertise it as a "Mexican Wedding" shirt, it just said "GUAYABERA". Try searching for that and you may get a better deal. I think they are also called cigar shirts.

Awesome savings with the coupons. I've really been slacking with that lately and need to get back at it.

Thanks! Will go check and see if I can get one for DH

Houston, we have a stateroom...

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

8088

First time we have been upgraded from our original category:thumbsup2

:banana::banana:

Its a cat 4 family room, under Topsiders, but the reviews on the DU site are positive. If it is still there, it supposedly has a double steamer trunk.
