Moonlight Magic Dates 2026 - Dates have been released!

If anyone is a party of 1-3 and wants to team up to try to maximize the chance of getting into an event, like we’re both trying for tickets that will accommodate both of our parties together (there are 2 in my party), let’s talk about the event dates we’re trying for to see if they coincide with one another.
Wait, are your odds of getting MM tickets greater if your party is larger? I would have thought the opposite would be true.

I think it’s the idea of having multiple people trying to get tickets.
Ah, so you have party A trying to get tickets for everyone in the combined parties AND party B trying to get tickets for everyone. The first one to get through books tickets for both parties and both A & B "double" their chances. That could make sense.

Not at all. It’s all random luck of where you get in the queue. I was suggesting joining forces with another small party to give us 2 chances as a group together to get tickets instead of just the one we have on our own. Even better if each one of us could land tickets to 2 different events in the same season to share with one another.

Thank you for helping me clarify. That’s what I meant. :)

Couldn't find an answer searching... If I book a duo studio can I only get 2 tickets or can I still get up to 5 total for the membership? Thanks for the help!

Do one at Disneyland in the summer when kids are out of school at not on a Monday in February…. and give owners a 11m+ notice….

I’m not sure why this thing is so biased toward locals, people without children, and people who will yank their children out of school and biased AGAINST families who don’t live close to the parks and are trying to instill in their children that education is more important than vacation.

Moonlight Magic appears to be intentionally scheduled for some of the slower weeks of the year.

As far as day of the week, going back to 2017, the numbers scheduled for each day of the week:
  • Sunday: 2
  • Monday: 14
  • Tuesday: 24
  • Wednesday: 21
  • Thursday: 17
  • Friday: 3
  • Saturday: 0
In 2025 and 2026, Monday is the most common day of the week.

DVC has to take the nights that the Parks division is willing to give them. Apparently DVC doesn’t pay as much as some private entities, e.g. the Gartner convention, so DVC can’t be picky! :p

It's my understanding that Disney Vacation Development, Inc. pays for these out of their budget, which means they potentially could purchase whatever nights they want.

It just makes sense to get the least expensive nights so they can book more of them and keep as many DVC members happy as possible.

I think the way they do CA MM with such little notice is a slap in the face to blue card holders who own at one of the CA resorts TBH. Your home resort priority means nothing for MM since they always hold it in Feb and release the dates in the fall.

You can still get 5 tickets. It’s 5 tickets or if you need more than 5 everyone has to be on your reservation
