LOL!
To be fair to Jeff, it was more the circumstances than his fault. We flew to Germany to spend time with friends, landing at Frankfurt early in the morning after a red eye flight. When we got through customs are friends weren't there. It was a bit nerve racking as we didn't know what to do. We waiting 20 minutes or so for them and then started to hunt down a pay phone to call them to see what we going on. (Our cell phones weren't international yet). Right about the time Jeff figured out how to get a call out on the phone our friends appeared (traffic held them up). We got to their place and unpacked. Except we couldn't find our passports, or any of our travel documents. The whole document folder was gone. (I was active duty military still and began freaking out about the trouble I would get into for this one). We tore apart our luggage and couldn't find them. We realized we must have left them at the airport, no idea where but at least at the airport. Our friends called lost and found there. The document holder was there. Found on top of that blasted pay phone. We got back in the car to go get them. Found out the lost and found in Europe charges you to get your stuff back. I think we had to pay 20 Euro or something for them.
Payphones = evil
Not that great of a story!
On the 2008 Westbound PC cruise a Diser organized a group for Aruba Jeep rentals, thus obtaining a lesser rental rate. Has anyone started something like this or would anyone be interested? We rented Jeeps in 08 and really enjoyed them, we want to do the same again.
Any thoughts?
It's even less then that at Disney. It's maybe 1/4th of 1%. But man, some of them can be doozy's. Like the guy that demanded to see my manager because I told him there was no way he was parked in the Snoopy lot.
*bock* *bock bock bock* *bock* *BWWWWOOOOOCCCCCKKKKKKK*
Chicken!

You must have been scared to DEATH! What branch of service were you in, Jen?
so he blames me!!We now put them somewhere safe.
LMAO! My DH blames me for everything!! Sounds like our hubbys would hit it off.

I have not read anyone organizing something like this (correct me if I am wrong). But, DH and I are planning on renting a jeep in Aruba. So, if we can get some people also interested, I could look into it. It sounds great!
Wanted to see if I could organize those with younger children to discuss our ports-of-call plans. I went through the excursions last night, and there really isn't a lot for younger children...rather disappointing given this is a Disney Cruise. But then again, I understand Disney isn't running the POC, so I can't expect to find a theme park at every one
I'm just starting to read about the excursions and get myself familiar with the ports, but I'd be happy to share what I learn. If anyone has any input (particularly PC cruise veterans) on which excursions did/didn't work with kids, I'd love to hear.
I was a bit sad that there was not more adventures listed with Disney for small kids, I have a 5 and 6 year old and they LOVE to get our and do sooooo I guess I will have to book straight instead of with Disney. I really dont mind, I usually end up with better deal for the same trip. We have done this several time before while cruising with Disney and have not had any problems.
So far here are our plans.
Aruba - either horseback ride w/ stop @ natural pools or Jeep rental with stops @ natural pools
Costa Rica - going to prob book Canopy tour, girls meet the age requirement if we go direct and NOT with Disney
Manzanillo - Up in the air as of right now, considering a Beach Resort outing with Disney
Puerto Vallarta - BOOKED a signature swim with Dophins and Sea Lions
Cabo - waiting on Disney to release info
Several people have copies of our passports. My Mom, Cousin who is also a TA and my TA all have copies. You never know what might happen. We rented our Aruba jeep with AVIS. I was hoping to get a discount with USAA but no luck. Driving home from SC so I will be booking our flights home soon and take a look at shore excursions.
How many euros did we have to pay to get them back?
I hold on to everything now. And thanks Alan for giving me another reason not to fly Southwest![]()
Yeesh Alan, not taking a shot at you, but the silliness of what you were saying. On one hand you want everyone, even a small child to hold onto their boarding pass, but only if TSA is watchin. And that it's really only Southwest it effects because of the cattle call boarding policy. That's why I try not to fly Southwest. If I want to be herded, I'll find a ranch! Not sure if you are taking a shot at me or not. That's cool I can take it. I would rather you take your flying elsewhere than have you come, not follow a simple instruction, then either myself, the company, or both get fined. Sorry if I took this the wrong way. I mean yesterday I only asked this request once. Why? Out of the five flights I boarded yesterday TSA was standing right there doing their thing. The other four they were not there so I could have cared less how I got the boarding cards as long as I got them. Maybe I have taken your comment the wrong way, if I did please clarify so we don't have this misunderstanding again.
