Yeesh Alan, not taking a shot at you, but the silliness of what you were saying. On one hand you want everyone, even a small child to hold onto their boarding pass, but only if TSA is watchin. And that it's really only Southwest it effects because of the cattle call boarding policy. That's why I try not to fly Southwest. If I want to be herded, I'll find a ranch!

And there are more than 4 excursions listed, pretty sure Dawn found them. They are listed on the port adventure page and NOT the individual port pages. You have to go to port adventures and select the port there to see everything. I believe Costa Rica has about 20 different excursions listed.

Well I don't think it is silliness. I guess you gave never been threatened with a personal TSA fine. Yes they can fine an individual who is not doing what they are supposed to be doing to ensure safety. I have. Not with boarding but with bag tags. I got lucky and talked my way out if it, but the TSA inspector was about to fine me $30,000. Yes this true. I accidentally did not pick up bag tags that a flight attendant left me after she was done checking bags as there was no more bin space. The fine is $10,000 per tag if left unsecured. My pocket is considered secured. So three were left out. After the plane pushed the gate I was walking up to the terminal and relized I forgot them and they were just out in the open. I got to them just as the TSA inspector, who was inspecting all aspects if this flight ( mostly on the ramp with loading the cargo and bags) came in. He asked me if those were mine. I said yes I forgot them and was coming to retrieve them. He said you know since there are three out I can give you a fine right now of $30,000. I said I know, but then pleaded my case as I pointed out the jetway was secure as the doors leading to the terminal were closed and locked. He, after really scaring the daylights out of me, said that is the only reason why I am letting you off the hook. So the lesson learned is now I will not let flight attendants have my tags. As far as the excisions my friend at work and I did that yesterday and could only find four. I will look again as we are hoping for a good rafting trip.

It's even less then that at Disney. It's maybe 1/4th of 1%. But man, some of them can be doozy's. Like the guy that demanded to see my manager because I told him there was no way he was parked in the Snoopy lot.

Yip, I would hope that being on vacation brings out the best in folks as opposed to when there pets are dieing and they need someone(anyone ) to blame..
John lost his once. We were going to Lanzarote(I think) from Leeds Bradford on Jet2 and we were all boarded and then had to get off for a while while they tried to fix something. then we all boarded again, but in about an hour had to get off and change planes(lucky it was a Sunday and they had some spares). He couldn't find his boarding card at all. Looked in the seat before he got off, all over. Eventually found it on the floor by my feet, you can imagine how hard it was to look there, so he blames me!!:confused3 We now put them somewhere safe.

Oh, and they are good to keep till you get home as we had a huge problem with a car hire firm in Phoenix who charged us 2 extra days saying we didn't return it on the booked day. John proved he had with his boarding slip, but what did they say? 'Your wife could have stayed on for a couple of days' Goodness me! We did win that but we had to go to the CC company.

I have to say, flying can be very stressfull and I also have to say, PAY EVERYTHING WITH CREDIT CARD>>

Another day done at the office. And one more thing to have checked off my do before the cruise list - my passport came yesterday. Renewal (really a new one) but glad I have it. My old one has not been returned yet but that is ok - it will get here.

Excursions - not really all that thrilling but we will find something - or compete with Alan for space at Quiet Cove.

No need to compete with me. I plan on using that new indoor second story to the cove a lot.

Thanks for the link, Jenkatt. I was beginning to think I was web-illiterate.

Our last leg of airfare is booked. Thanks SW and Alan! Grand total for airfare from Panama City to MCO was $75 and then LAX to Panama City was less than $100 with my credit voucher. No all that is left is final payment on Sept 7!

Hi, all!

I'm afraid I haven't had time to check in here for MONTHS and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I really don't have time to check back through all the threads and posts to see what might be new, so please forgive me for asking if there's a place with all the info condensed?

I see the website has the coordinators listed for the FE gifts and Secret Mickeys. I assume we just PM them if we want to participate. Are we doing it in groups, and are the FE gifts just doled out at random, or are we going to be assigned days so the gifts are spread out throughout the cruise? (That's how we did it last time (groups, assigned days) but it's my only experience with FEs so I assume there are other ways to do it!)

Before I became completely overwhelmed I saw something about a photo sharing group, but I don't really see how to sign up to be a part of that. Can you participate even if you aren't a prolific photographer? I never remember to take pix and when I do they're not very good!

I also saw something about bracelets but I don't see if there's a way to sign up to participate in that.

Is someone making nametags? Lanyards?

Are there plans for any Sea Day activities that I don't see? Last PC crossing we had tons of activities going on like a scrapbook day, a few different group photos, A Poker tournament, Shots around the Ship, A Group ladies' tea at Palo, and probably a bunch more that I don't remember. I didn't participate in most of them but I know they were happening!

There were also several meets before the cruise, both at WDW right before and at DL for us West Coasters. Are there already plans in the works for anything like those activities? Not suggesting there needs to be, just asking if there are! I feel SO behind the times!!!

Can some one catch me up to speed so maybe I can go forward from here and not feel compelled to spend the next week trying to read the last 2 threads I missed!

Hello,
I go to the DCL web site, Port Adventures Listing page, under "port" click on the port I want to see excursions for, and then I've pressed "enter", nothing happens, double click on the port nothing happens, etc,

What am I doing wrong? It seems like it should be easy. :surfweb:

I'm using a Mac and I ALWAYS have trouble signing up for excursions or dining on the DCL web site and sometimes have to go to a pc to do it. Is it a Mac problem or ME?

Please help me sort the lists.

Thanks!
Barb

It's not you. It's the website. It stinks.
Go off of this page.
And use the drop down menu on the right.

I can answer you a couple of the questions. Yes, if you want to participate in the SM, you simply PM me and I will send you the link to provide your information. Our reveal date is the last sea day - the locationg is TBD.

We are having a PJ breakfast on one of the sea days. I don't have it in front of me but it is on the calendar on the website. We will be meeting in the atrium at 9:00 A.M.

As far as the FE gifts, I don't think anything has been decided. I have already purchased mine - I do have enough for every possible cabin that could sign up so in my case, every cabin will be getting one.

I think the only thing that has been decided is to not drop any FE gifts off the first night as Jeff will have an updated list the evning of Castaway Cay (but again - don't hold me to that 100% either - I think that is what I read).

In 2008 - we had a ladies lunch but it was in the dining room. That way all of the ladies could attend as some could not/did not want to pay for brunch. It was a great time!

As for lanyards, bracelets, etc - I believe that there was some discussion about doing them as a FE gift from a group. I am not sure what the status is for that. In 2008 - I was in charge of the lanyards but they were ordered individually and then pickup and paid for at the terminal. I offered to do the same but I believe someone said that they were considering it for an FE group gift.

Hope this helps! I am sure others have additional answers for you!

I keep reading about the 2005 and 2008 PC cruises. Everytime I read about these cruises, they seem to be westbound cruises, ending in LA. So this begs the question, were there any eastbound cruises to put these boats back. :confused3 It seems this had to take place, but there is no discussion on this. Just curious:surfweb:
