Does anyone know when we can call (or if you can already) DCL to find out what the themed dining nights will be, and possibly in what order? I know this is all subject to change but in the past I have always called and gotten the info on when was Pirate Night, formal night, etc.

Weve only just got them for the trans atlantic cruise last week, so I would think another while at least.

It has not yet been decided upon. At least according to my friends at DCL. They will be giving me a heads up when it comes out. They said it should be ready by Sep. but it could be earlier.

Thanks Alan and Lynne. Alan I know you'll keep us posted on here, I'm so excited to find out what is in store if you hear anything from your DCL friends before the rest of us do. Also on a similar note, what about dining rotations? I've never been on anything longer than a 7 night, so I dont know what to expect? for those of you who have done PC or other longer specialty cruises before, what were the rotations like, and did you request a specific one? I really want to be in Tritons for formal night (is there only one formal night on this cruise?). Being in Parrot Cay or Animators doesnt feel very fancy to me- and this cruise, we really want to go all out and do the tux and formal dress thing.

As others have posted..it's not yet ready...some basics have been filled in but nothing concrete...As we get info..will post...I can't wait to find out either!

Well in 08 we ate in each 5 times. 15 nights x 3 dinning rooms. So that works out perfectly and I would plan on the same here. No back to back nights like on a 7 day or even the 5 day that is going on this summer. The first day at sea is traditonaly a formal night. So that can help you pre plan as well. DW loves to dress up on formal night, me, I am happy I work at a company that let's me wear shorts everyday. I hate dressing up. So to compermise with DW, I will dress up for dinner on formal night, then once we are done eating, back to the room to change into my shorts and stuff. All the other nights I stay in my evening casual, as that really doesn't bug me much.

We will be dressing up too, 2 formal nights and only 1 semi formal and pirate night and another special night(villians I believe) on our ta cruise.

I would expect the same for this cruise. 2 formal and 1 semi formal. Their should not be a villians night as, the whole villians theam night and show are suposed to be exclusive to the Magic. As for Pirate night, since I completly hate the movies, I wish DCL would do away with this night and try something else. Been there done it enough. If course the menu at dinner is really good.

Things will no doubt be different but on our '08 PC cruise, we had Tropical Night on Aruba day, Mexican Night alongside Mexico, possibly the Acapulco day, and a Pirates NOT in the Caribbean Night on Cabo day.

One day they did on both the 05 and 08 cruises was a east meets west dinner. That was on canal day, and we got to keep the menus.

I remember that menu as being the only one I hated the entire cruise in '05!
We had Pirates night in Acapulco in '05....

Trying to book the chef's table at V&A for my birthday/ RADP meet.....

Yes, it was nice to keep the menu, though I threw them not so long ago.

We didn't like it either. In fact I had a few bad nights with the menu choices to be honest. Probably because we don't like seafood and there did seem rather a lot of it.

I am not a huge fan of the food overall on Disney but that's ok...I manage to find enough to gain a few pounds. On thing that is hard for me is that due to food allergies..I have to order my next night's meal right after dinner. Usually I find that nothing sounds good and when I get to dinner the next night..I don't want what I ordered! :rotfl2: I have asked to order it before dinner (or atleast pick it out) so that maybe while I'm hungry - it will sound good - no luck so far but I keep asking!

Our server gave me all of the menus including dessert from our 2008 - at the time it sounds like a great idea..now they sit in a bag. I keep thinking one day I am going to get a piece of glass for my dining table and place them between the wood and the glass but never have. I will probably end up tossing them one day.

See the only menus I am not a fan of are, the AP menu, but I can still find something. The Master Chef menu, which they only do on special cruises, and a menu from the 08 cruise. It was the Taste of California menu. If food here in CA was that bad, I would move. Thankfully food here in CA is not like that menu at all. O hope they do not bring that back.

If there are 2 formal nights are they both "equal"? Or is one more formal, where it would be the tux night? We want to dress up one night to the nines, and then probably regular suit and dress for the other formal night, not both. Just curious?

Also, does anyone know how to request specific servers? We loved our servers from our January '10 cruise on the Magic and they told us they will be on the PC Repo with us and we could request them, which we want to do. Do I do this in advance by calling DCL or is this something I do once onboard?

To me formal is suit and tie. I guess if I really was going to go all out one night it would be the night you can have you pic with tha captian. As for the servers. Just call and put tge request on your reservation. If in fact your servers are on, they will do what they can.

Both formal nights are "equal" but you will see men in both suits and tuxedos. Do what you feel best doing.

As for the servers... just cal DCL or ask your TA to do it for you. They will do thier best. In our Disney cruises..We had server would I request back...she has been promoted to Palo however. We did not think she would remember us as it had been 3 years since she served us. However, as soon as she saw us - she immediately said hello and asked us how our DD was. We were surprised and thrilled.

I am excited about the toy story on the wonder, I LOVE the toy story.looking forward to the show as even the music is great.
I hope you get the table!

My friends at DCL told me that the reason Toy Story is not coming to California Adventure is due to less than stellar reviews on the ship. I might be seeing it in Oct, but given it's bad reviews I might skip it.

So we did it! We waitlisted for a cat 3(T, I think). Now just crossing my fingers, which am I hoping - depends on the day. I am guessing our chances are not very good considering the high cost of a cancelation, but we will see.

I thought Toy Story was great on the ship, but maybe thats because I'm biased and I LOVE Toy Story. I am super excited for Toy Story 3 in IMAX 3d later this month. Anyway, when I saw it on the Wonder last year, I enjoyed it, but as others have said, the part with Sid was a little drawn out IMO and creepy- I also hate the parts with Sid in the movie too. But since I know it all works out in the end I'm fine with it now ; ) If its on our cruise this time I'll definitely be going again. I really enjoy all of the shows. I do wish the comedians did longer stints in the adult clubs though. We loved two of them on our past cruise, but it was annoying that they only did like a 45 min show. Maybe since this cruise is longer, they will have repeat nights?
