FYI, the security by the elevators into VGC coming from the Pixar Place entrance walkway is asking to see room keys.

Evidently they are great when new and they get much less comfortable with every passing day. That is likely why.

The main elevators to the VGC wing. My first report was from my wife. Having now been stopped in the elevators with full hands of Smoke Jumpers breakfast…. I can report first hand.

Get a physical key and have it easy to access in your pocket…. They will make you put your food down and hold the elevator until they see a room key. I asked the lady next to me to hold some breakfast fries to free up a hand.

Maybe if they actually utilized the magic band+ features at DL like they do at AUL and WDW this wouldn’t be an issue…. I could just tap my wristband….

Yeah it's truly mind boggling how it's so different. Especially when Disney is so adamant about having one login for everything. They should have one setup for everything.

I am now super curious what prompted them to pay for this. We've never seen or heard of security posted at that elevator lobby.

Coming back from LA. No more security at the elevator, but there is at the metal door when coming back to VGC after parking by Pixar Place. They said the door to the walkway to Pixar Place is closed at noon.

Back from a trip to pick up a bath balm from the spa (after a thorough vinegar and water cleaning of the jet tub) and the security guard was back at the elevator.

I had my card ready this time!

I'm going to keep saying it. I wish they would replace those jetted tubs. So much easier to just wipe out a bathtub with a clorox wipe than it is to fuss which having to run vinegar through it.

IT for the CA and FL parks grew up completely independent. As they attempt to meet/merge, it is truly not for the faint of heart.
