Remember too, gifts can be as simple as candy bars or cookies. Also, I'm fairly certain a good number of the Floridians here have offered to be "receivers" for boxes of stuff that needs to be sent ahead. It definitely helps when you can just drop the box at the UPS store a week in advance.

Even with the current numbers (225 guests and 85 staterooms) I don't think anyone should be spending more then they feel capable of.

Oh yeah, and the website is up to date (Cruise list, cabin map, pictures etc.) If I don't have current info up and you don't have a current PM from me asking for clarifications, you can assume I lost your message in the PM trail.

THANK YOU JEFF!!!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 :thanks::thanks:All your hard work is really appreciated. I was looking at it and saw that many of you haven't sent in your pictures yet. :guilty::confused3:guilty: PLEASE DO. :worship::worship:It is so great to be able to recognize everyone at the port and on the ship because you have seen their picture and know what they look like.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Please note, the preferred method of sending pictures is to my gmail account at monorailpilot@gmail.com, though any way you can get one to me is always good.

Thanks.

One of my favorite FE gifts to get is a post card from the givers home town. I love seeing the different areas of the world and these are very inexpensive to purchase.

Can whoever did the map image that we're using send me the highest quality version of it that they have to my e-mail (monorailpilot@gmail.com).

Thanks. I need that to start working on tweaking it for t-shirts and getting it online.

Also, TDC Nala, you still owe me the Repo This image :)

I think it is the best kind of planing when one goes on vacation, don't you Lynne?
Hey Alan, as the resident alcohol leader of our group ; ), I'm expecting an answer from you lol on your alcohol planning! Are you stocking up big time in FL or waiting until the islands?

Ok I am very excited and very anal. I have already completed (March) 110 FE gifts, put them in small pkgs, made door decorations, made my FE and everything is packed in a box to be sent to the warehouse. I read everyone talking about lugging the box around, but if we send it to the warehouse it says it will be in our room. I've never cruised Disney so is this the case? Because that's what I was planning on doing.

Hello to everyone in this group. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Monica and I live in Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico. For anyone on a future Disney cruise to the Mexican Riviera, I am pleased to make myself available to you for any questions about the city of Mazatlan or country of Mexico.

As for myself, I am a resident of both the United States and of Mexico. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and I have sailed on DCL numerous times and have been a lifelong fan of Disney. Let me say right upfront, I am NOT selling anything nor am I affiliated with any business or tour company. I am only here to help and give honest information and opinions in an attempt to make your time in Mazatlan or Mexico a positive experience.

I hope that everyone will welcome me to the discussion and that I can be of assistance to anyone who has a question about my city or country. I will attempt to check the boards once per day, but should I miss a question, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Gracias,
Monica

I have decided to do the FE too. I had one made. Oh it is so cute. Calling DVC in am to switch resorts I am hoping for BCV, BWV, BLT, VWL. We shall see. I wonder how much is an extra bag on SW? Cheaper than shipping? Alcohol.

I will probably decide the day before we set sail. Honestly I am not a planer, I just play it by ear. The only plan I have right now is to consume my fair share of alcohol. That's all I can share right now.

A third bag would be 50 bucks.

I'll be doing the FE. I'm really excited about it.

As far as alcohol, we'll buy some in Florida but also plan to pick some up in Aruba.

Thanks Lexi on the reminder for DVC. We're currently at SS but hope to switch to BLT. I think I can do that on the 6th.

I think re the alcohol, we'll be safe and buy in FL. I posted my question on the main DCL thread too and got conflicting responses- some said prices werent much diff than in US, (though that was not my experience in St. Thomas), some said if the store you got it from was duty free they would take it before you got back on board and held til end of cruise (like if you buy on board)- not sure on that one as I thought all the stores were duty free, and others said they bought with no problem. To me it seems a bit unclear so I think I'd rather suck it up and pay more upfront in FL and be sure I have enough for the whole trip than bank on getting it on the islands and then having a problem and having to spend a ton more $$$ on drinks at the bars--dont get me wrong, I do patronize the bars daily- I just like to make a lot of my own drinks to my own taste too and to of course save some $$.

We have also been thinking of how to best buy and get aboard the requisite amount of liquor. We do not want to check an extra bag just for the liquor; however, not sure how to get the extra carryon over there. :confused3 Still debating! We ussually buy in FL.

What I do is I have a rolling soft sided cooler that compacts very nicely inside my checked bag down to FL. Then once in fl, I expand the cooler and use it to fill up with my liquor that I buy there. Now, I've only bought 2 large bottles before, since I've only done a week or less cruise before. LOL this cruise I will likely use a small carryon size rolling suitcase instead of the cooler since it will hold the necessary larger amount of bottles ; )

We are allowed one carry on, we will decant it into big suitcase when we get to Fl and use carry on for supplies.
We wont be doing fe, too much wt to take stuff or bring back stuff, however If I have any space I will be bringing a tiny scottish surprise for everybody.

We are coming to WDW Sunday Jan 2 and stay 4 nights. We were going to come Jan 3rd and take the 830am Flight on SW but we would be too excited too sleep so we are flying in Sunday night. I am hoping to get either BCV or BLT. Will let you know what I get in 8 hours.
