From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 2

One of the issues with having borders on the photos is resizing. Disney's photos are weird sizes - 6x8 for instance. I like to print them as 5x7's - but the proportion isn't right so part of the boarder gets cut off.

Last cruise, the kids/grandkids/ were in another cabin, and they bought the cd. Obviously the ones where we were all together in the photo were on their cd, but the ones of DH and I alone were not (different cabin). But, if you buy the cd, you can buy any (not stock) printed photos for half price. So it wasn't a bad deal. We just got ours that way.

We had ours taken from Deck 4 and our balcony. Since the photographers get off at all the locks it was easy to be at both places. Just be sure to do something so they notice you.

Thanks for the pics and tips everyone! I'm so excited to get those shots too. So seriously do you need to do anything really noticeable like waving a big sign or something to get noticed, or will simple looking for the photographers and catching their attention casually work?

Well I guess it might help. Some friends of ours had a flag of Scotland out on their balcony and got a great shot. I really think they try to get as many pictures as possible so chances are you will be photographed anyway. They cross the locks to catch the other side of the ship. After all they want to sell as many as they can.

We were just up at the front and the cameras caught the crowds and took lots of pictures to catch everyone. We were caught waving down at the camera!!!

On our 2008 PC.. some had banner's that they attached to thier verandahs. We were allowed to attach them for PC day only. We had a POC flag that my DH got at work.

I am thinking of maybe getting an Ohio flag for our balcony this trip. We should be on the side with the web cams this time and would like to make it easy for family and friends to find us. MommaluvsDis is next to us and she is thinking about getting a Louisiana flag.

Anyone that doesn't have a balcony and would like to use ours for a balcony shot let me know and we will work something out.

I don't know about a balcony, but if you're on deck 4 you'd probably have to work hard not to get photographed.

If you pose and wave, it's a pretty safe bet they'll catch you.

Just don't go to the front and you should be fine. If you are up for the first set of locks, I won't be as it is to early for me, you will have 2 hours to get your pic from Deck 4. The first set of Locks takes just under 2 hours. To be honest the photographers will be on the land side, not the side with the little control towers in the middle.

I am not a Guiness fan either. Still differnt strokes for differnt folks. Lynne looks like I will be meeting you on this cruise. The WBTA is dead for us and will be cancelled by payment due date for us by May 21.
