I hope all works out with your DW job and the Baseball Hall of Fame/WDW trip sounds like a fun consilation trip.

I was going to try sneaking in a quick DL trip next month to see the Electric Parade before my AP expires, but alas my car decided otherwise. Three of my power window motors went out, power door locks and door ajar switch...just love those high repair bills.:rolleyes1

I all to well know about those repair bills as well. The Baseball Hall of Fame is a dream of mine to go to, so I hope that can work out, and thank god for the DVC or there would be no way I could go to WDW in sep.

Someday I hope to see the Baseball Hall of Fame too. My parents had season tickets for Oakland A's, I really miss those seats on the second level behind home plate. I have to be content now with watching the
Sacramento River Cats. I know what you mean about DVC...it's saved us many times.

Jeff, Do you get to drive this one?

Ohhh I can't wait for that movie. I love the original Tron and I wave been waiting for a sequel for more than 25 years. 12/17/10 can't come soon enough.

I will try to make this as simple as I can. The first 15 A is reserved for the Bisness select fare. Then at 36 hours before flight time the computer system first checks for our A-list members who are onthat flight and have their Rapid Rewards number in their reservation, then the computer checks in the people who bought the early bird check in, then it goes ny order of you checking in 24 before the flight. I know tomorrow people are hoping for some great news from me, please be very pacient with me. I promise I will put it up at some point. We got some really bad news yesterday and now trying to figure out how to make sure we can take this cruise. Thanks U.S. Government for basicly taking away DW job in a few months. This means Lynne it really is looking like I won't be meeting you till this cruise. The TA is all but dead for us at this point as that sail date is just about when she anticipates losing her job in the student loan industry. Don't worry about us, we will be fine, just have to jiggle a few things, we will be on this cruise. By the time it is time to go, we will need it, and we promised our friends, and we never break a promise. Aging please don't worry about us, we already did the finacials and will be just fine.

I am sorry to hear about your DW job!

Well cookie season has officially ended thank goodness! It has been a really long and tough couple of months as the Girl Scout Council started a new program and as usual with new things..there were lots of things no one thought of.

I was in charge of 3 things..my troop.. the Service Unit which is the 30 troops in my area for cookie sales and then I ran what is called the cupboard. This is a location that troops could pick up additional cookies if they needed them..the new reservation system didnt do so well so we had a lot of complaints and issues...oh well..it's done and over! I helped load up the remaining cookies tonight and did my final paperowork...

One nice thing..my daughter was able to sell over 2000 boxes of cookies so one of her recognitions is a $400 Disney gift card...we are looking forward to using it on the cruise...

I won't even try and catch up on the posts but will hopefully be here now to keep active!

It is not gone yet. The senate still has to pass it, and the rumor is they want the stundet loan industry out of the bill, so anything can happen. Then if her company does not get picked up by the govenment, then she is out of a job. So it is still months down the road.

As a scottish person it is diff for me to get my head around the cookie thing you do in USA

No Jeff hasn't driven the Tron train. He's working next Sunday, so who knows. And while I think it looks awesome, he hates it. He's a monorail purist, and that's not anything close to a traditional monorail!

I will keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't loose her job. SO SCARY.

I wouldn't say I'm a complete purist. After all, I'm glad I wear maroon and not the lime and blue of the original costumes :)

But seriously, the monorail is iconic Disney. If you show people in the U.S. a monorail, ANY monorail, they instantly associate it with Disney. Why would you mess with that? Never mind that the movie's release day is still 9 months away....

I just booked our SW flights for Oct to Oralndo. We only live 6 hours away but the flight is cheap and just 1:10 flying time. Less wear and tear on the car. Still cotemplating for Jan. Get in Sunday evening about 930pm or Monday at 10am?

I just booked our SW flights for September - cheap tix from San Jose to John Wayne (Orange County) on 9/3; red-eye on United from LAX on 9/6, arriving in Orlando on 9/7; and back to San Jose on SW on 9/16. Thank goodness you can do laundry at Kidani Village! At least this way, we don't have to fly home from DL and turn around to fly to WDW the next morning. We are also saving over $100/person by doing this arrangement.

Alan, hope your DW gets good news for her job. Otherwise, have fun at Cooperstown. That's a place I would like to go. A fond memory is going to the Cracker Jack Old Timers' game in Washington, DC in 1983. That was the same year I got to sit down and have a conversation with Hank Aaron at a sports luncheon. Got his autograph, too. That was a real treat!

Hope everyone buying plane tix gets the flights they want. Now, we just have to wait until the December/January flights come out! Alan, any idea of when?

BTW, I don't like the new monorail look, either. And, Jeff, the new maroon monorail uniforms ARE better than the old color!

We too will be going to Kidani. We are going in Oct. Oct 19-23 before our Carnival Dream Cruise. Have ressies for Jan at Kidani but we would like to to try somewhere else. At 7 mons June 3rd we will try for either BWV or VWL. If not available stay at Kidani. In May I am I have 10 days of vacation time with a trip to Hilton Head.

Right..I should have said I am sorry to hear about the possibility..

Thats cool.

Here it's a big deal.. people go crazy for them... they are pretty good although I don't eat many of them anymore since I am around them so much.

First off, I would like to thank everyone for your well wishes for us, but it will be fine. DW expects to be employed till at least Sep. There will be a severance package and she said it looks like a good one. And then if she has to do unemployment, it is only 800 less a month than she currently makes, but I get a 5 buck a hour raise on 10/1 so it will be fine. Again thanks for the well wishes. Now on to other matters. First off to everyone who bought tickets on SWA today, thank you very much for helping me keep a job. Now I all know you want me to reveal when we will open to by tickets to MCO for this wonderful cruise. I do know the answer to that question, but I will keep you in suspence just a little since I like to mess around like that. Jeff, I undertand what you are saying about the Monorails, but I like the light cycle look. To bad they could not have put on some neon lights to make the Monorail look more like a light cycle. I may be biased because I really can't wait for this movie, the new trailer really got excited. I do understand about the look though, and even I don't like it when some stuff is messed with. Take for example our new paint job for the planes at work. I love the new blue look, it sure beets puke colors we used to have ( three of our planes remained the puke colors). Now when I see one of those three, I say to my self, that is what SWA is. So even though I love our new Blue colors, I guess I will always be fond of our orignal colors. Now to the part you have been waiting for. We will open for sale through 1/7/11 on.............., wait for it...................................wait for it. ...........
