Sounds right up my alley! Where do I find them?

You can get Chocolate Smoothies pretty much everywhere you can get a drink - all you have to do is ask.

For those of us in CA, Virgin America are starting up a new non-stop service from SFO and LAX to MCO. Flights start August 19th.

I saw that today:
Advantages: Best entertainment in the air. Competitive pricing. Non-stop
Disadvantages: Change fees, Luggage fees.

For me there's also an extra one hour drive to San Francisco from San Jose.

Tough call. I think if I'm sure I'm going on a flight, Virgin is worth considering. But if it's a "maybe", I'll stick with SouthWest.

It's definitely nice to have the option.

I checked it out for our September trip - price was about $400/person before taxes + baggage fee. And I don't want to have to go to San Francisco to get a plane.

I also checked United - what a silly thing to have done. I did like the fact that they have the red-eye from LAX - and a convenient flight to LAX from San Jose. The price wasn't bad - $288/person. Then I decided to check the cost for people 65+. Would you believe that price was $505/person! I was amazed at the difference for being "old." LOL! A good reason for not using Untied (as we often refer to it) is that they would probably cancel the red-eye and route us through Denver - nose-bleed city for me.

This happened to me last year - when I was using miles. After they changed my ticket from the red-eye to an early morning flight with a late afternoon arrival in Orlando, they later put the red-eye back, but refused to change me back to it. Sigh. That about finished me with them. I do like the red-eye flights - I can be asleep before the plane takes off - and you have the entire day at WDW, instead of arriving in the late afternoon.

Sure wish Southwest would have a non-stop to Orlando! As a friend says, "It's good to want." Second sigh!

Maybe now that Virgin is doing it, we just may follow. I hope we do. We at work have always said that we believe non stops to FL would be very popular and profitable.

Well then good morning to you too! :thumbsup2 It's the evening here (ooOooOoo the future!) and I can say the weather has been great, mpeople have been happy and nothing has gone wrong, so today's going to be a good one ;-) Enjoy!

The future? What do you havens Deloran that goes 88 MPH and chanels 1.21 gigawats into a Fulx Capasiter? Just kidding. ( That was for all the Back to The Future fans). Well trying to go to bed. Have to wake up so I can be at DLR by 1:30 for round two of my PP fight.

Good Morning everyone! I have a question for you experienced LA port cruisers. Will I be able to make a flight the day we arrive at 1:30?? I found flights on American for LAX to Grand Rapids for 120.00 and would like to snag them up before they are gone. Thoughts??

Good news: I found both bug spray and sunscreen in our medicine cabinet!

OK, it is a small victory ... but a victory nonetheless. :flower3:

My sunscreen smells like bug spray!!! I wouldn't go near me if I was a bug anyway.:rotfl2:

Well the battle continues. We could not get our PP because when they try to issue it, it says they owe us a little over 300 bucks. We are supposedly getting contacted by someone named Ronnie who will tell us how to finaly get the passes that are due to us. The AP center said that we would be getting them. I hope so, we really should not have to go through this.

Let me know if they don't make it right and I'll do what I can the next time your in the big park :)

Work is almost calm. I now have to get through 3 dozen pages of thread :)

I don't know the answer, but I thought I'd give your question a little bump!

Well they called acctualy when I was still there. I still did not walk out with a PP because they could not zero out the system in terms if monies either due or to be refunded. The supervisor Ted made sure that all out info was correct for our DLR passes and address, took down our WDW pass info, and said that he was going to email WDW right then an there. He said that since WDW is spearheading this, they are the only ones that can issue the PP for free (really that does make sence since my moms cane from there) and it should arrive next week. I told him next Friday I was planing on meeting some friends since the 26th is pin trading night. Lucky he knows my friends mom who used to work there and now is in Guest Relations back stage. He said to let her know on Thursday if our PP do not arrive. I guess there is something he can do to get me in as, according to Ted, I should have vaild addmisdion because this program was supposed to give you a free extention till 1/27/11 the day my WDW pass expires. As for catching a 1:30. I think doable, but remember, the customs prosses here is a complete 180 from Canaveral.

I don't drink coffee. So I sit out the coffee wars.

I have this marvelous unbreakable wine glass (not big enough for a bottle full though) that I will need to bring.

When we did DLR after our Hawaii cruise it was a nightmare getting to DLR. We used primetime shuttle. Don't advise them. It took them. 2 hours from the port there was hardly any traffic and did not know where DLR was even with a GPS!

Gail,

We have cruised on RCCL out of LA three times and though not nearly as smooth as Port Canaveral, it's not too bad. I believe that you could make a 1:30 flight out of LAX. We are not sure what the best way for you to get there would be. We have always had our own vehicle parked in the parking lot so haven't needed to look for transportation options.
