I always like hearing happy NICU stories. My last job was very depressing, we were the dumping grounds for all the really bad cases in the area. Lots of very sick babies who weren't going to get better. When we had a happy case we help onto those kids in our hearts for a very long time. Thanks to Facebook I can follow my "babies". My current job is in a small community hospital, much better outcomes since the average baby isn't that sick.
Of course as I say that we're waiting on our 3rd 24 week baby. FYI, a full term baby is 39 weeks. These babies aren't quite half baked yet!

So good to hear stories like this. It will definitely make DH smile. He has finished his pediatric residency but is doing cardiology fellowship/training now plus he also holds a PhD in cardiovascular physiology. He spends at least 60 hours a week on the cardiology floor and CV ICU of a very large children's hospital. It is so rewarding for him when children can lead normal/close to normal lives after being dealt a bad hand in life.

Maybe we can get the cruise to run by the remains of jonestown?

:)

Dont get that though Jeff.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Happy to report I had a great experience with the ship's doc, when I had a huge asthma attack in St. Martin. In one hour, I had a nurse visit, doctor visit, blood gas, inhalation treatment, iv, prescription filled, bill, paid, and out the door. He told me things about asthma that I had never even heard from my own docs. It was worth every penny.

Here's the wiki reference to Jonestown. It's an amazing look into human behavior and sociology. But it's the whole Koolaid thing. Any time someone says I drank the Koolaid, it usually means that they joined some sort of following/ cult, even if it's in jest - like Jeff and I jumping on the iPhone following.
It's a bad joke in poor taste. :scared1:

Thankyou for that insight also, the link, I get it, i hate when I dont "get" stuff.

Does anyone know how much a cat 3 is for this cruise for two adults? I don't even know if one is available, but I was curious of the cost. I would love to change categories if the rest of our group does not go

If I guessed, based on the cost of our Cat 2 and the Cat 4 we were originally in, I'd guess around $15-$16k.

We are using DCL transport and have a question for people who have used them that are DVC. Have heard they pick up luggage at 8am for the cruiseline? If staying at Kidani will they pick up there or do I have to lug 4 bags to Jambo? I know the bus will leave from Jambo but I saw somewhere bags go earlier. We have always had a car.

Thanks Jeff. I was on that same cruise. Did you do the wait for pins overnight?
I can answer that for him, it was a resounding HELL NO!!!! While we both like pins, there was no way we were doing the slumber party.

I did it. I thought it was fun. I had a bartender from Rockin Bar D come out about ever 30 min to refill my drink, he only charged for 2 refills and I had like 5-6, I left him a nice tip. I made the best of a crapy situation, and I did really have fun.

We were really active on the DIS for that cruise and knew alot of them did it and had a great time. It really became a huge slumber party. But for Jeff and I, it's so not us.

Having said that, he'd do it for a monorail pin.

To each their own thats what I say. Would that be a specific Monorail pin or any Monorail pin? Can you ask him to find out at company D will they have a Tron Monorail pin. I know he hates it, but I really dig it and would love a pin of it.

Jeff has the only known Monorail Trifecta pin set, a set of orginal 1959 DL Monorail wings, 1/150 LE Replica of the DL Wings ('59), and the WDW Monorail Coordinator Pin (1/12). Obviously he has a set of WDW Monorail wings.
He doesn't know of a Monotron pin yet, and doesn't see anything listed. He doubts it would be a CM only pin.
