Is the 10 day waiting period after closing 10 business days? We closed last Tuesday on an SSR resale and I was going to try and call MS to see if we are in the system yet.
We have a Dec UY and points become available in Dec 2008. We're going to borrow and try to take an Oct 2008 trip.

I hope not, they didn't say 10 business days. I'm going to try calling next Saturday any how. It's an 800 number, doesn't cost anything.

as far as I'm concerned : we're both home We've closed, we're just waiting for the last of the red tape to unravel

We sent our closing documents and check via Fed Express yesterday. Now the wait. We are going to try and use them as soon as we can and hope it goes quickly. Our "add-on" is the same resort(OKW) and same use year(June) so the original contract is the master and the "add-on" has the extension of ".001" on it. From what I have learned here, this will allow us to basically use this as one larger contract and we will not be getting a new member's card.
If all comes thru quickly we are going to try(keep our fingers crossed) to switch from two rooms at CSR to a two bedroom at OKW for our current trip the week after Thanksgiving. We did not have the points before this add-on due to others trips we already have planned and had used points for. I know its a long shot but you never can tell. Wait lists do come thru if you get enough pixie dust blown your way..smjj

Got my PIN via email and called and got my membership #!!! We're IN!! 1 week from official closing~







Now I'm excited! of course our next trip isn't til Oct 2008 so there's still a wait

Just checked my home email, and guess what? My pin number is in!!!! Now how to I get my member i.d. #? Do I have to call MS?

I called MS and had no problem getting my membership #- however....

To access the member's website you need a Club ID# which is different than the member#. I don't know how to get that info short of calling back MS or my guide.....

just ask for the Club ID # too when you ask for your membership #-- didn't have a problem when I called back for it~

The person I spoke to at Member Services gave me my member # and my I.D. #.

However, when I tried to register for the website it said my email address was already used. I had to go through disney.com and look at the villa resorts and then click on the box for learning more about disney vacation club. Since I was logged in already it did not ask me for my email address and password. Good luck!

I don't understand what I see on the website though, it doesn't reflect the points totals that I purchased. I'll have to call today to make sure it's correct.

LOL - had the same problem with the email addy in use: I went ahead and created another email account under my master email - I think your way was easier~

My point total are correct, 145 pts total contract, 145 banked into 2008.

Thanks for the support, I like the people on this board. I called today, and everything is A-OK. Got my reservation for a preferred studio March 10-14 (wanted a standard for less pts, but I'm okay with preferred). Can't wait for my first trip home!

Something's finally going right! We closed late Thursday, 10/18....called MS this morning, Monday, 10/22...and WE ARE IN THE SYSTEM!!!!! I actually got everything I wanted booked for March.

Arriving for buisness 2/28 and moving to the BWV 3/1 for 5 nights! If you've read my many whining posts about Murphy's Law and me...you'd understand why I'm so excited! ROFR took 32 DAYS!
