On the way back up to Wigd and Shocker's room.

Wigd had decor for our necks and many other treasures to share.

There were presents for everyone. These belonged to me! :woohoo:

IMG_6795.jpg

Of course, you know there had to be glow rings involved, right?

Trent and Tanya.

She is not a Disney person, but we're showing her the light.

It was very crowded at the top, and there was no place to sit, but the view couldn't be beat.

I'm no good at fireworks pictures. Sorry.

We went back to the room and said our goodbyes.

IMG_6835.jpg

We headed back to Pop by way of Downtown Disney.

IMG_6837.jpg

We figured Wigd and Shocker, being so old and all, would gladly fall into bed the second we left.

Little did we know, those youngsters took off for some carousing around Magic Kingdom until all hours of the night!!!

Wonderful pictures from BLT especially the ones of the girls enjoying the pool.

Sounds like y'all had a great Saturday. Sorry for the scary "church lady".

Brooklynn's hair cut is perfect. She looks more grown up and her hair does look fuller and more bouncy.

I love this picture!

Who would have thought a couple of old geezers could have caught a second wind and headed back our for the night?!?:rotfl2:

Seriously though, when does a person have the chance to just stroll over to Magic Kingdom?
If you are me, the answer is never.
So off we went.

Well another term is over. I got a 94 in math (such a happy surprise, since math is my worst subject) and a 98 in Early Childhood Development. So since I've got a week off between terms, it is officially time to play catch up on the DIS before I go to Puerto Rico to visit my boyfriend and his family. :lovestruc Now as usual, here are a few comments that stood out as I was catching up.

I loved the pictures from the Great Atlanta Cupcake Dismeet. Although, it's terrible that some cupcakes had to be trashed.

Magicshell - oh my goodness, sorry to hear about your allergic reaction to the ants. I'm also allergic but I have never has that reaction. I hope by now you are doing much better.

When I was on my high school dance team, the whole squad's ponytails would swing like Brooklynn's hair because we were always walking with a purpose. :thumbsup2:lmao:

Bellarie as Ariel is SO precious.

The pool at BLT looks amazing, in fact the whole resort looks amazing.

Brooklynn and I went back to the house to spend the day together. Here she is with her new books.

Brooklynn's haircut is so adorable.

Loved the pics from the 4th of July. Fireworks are hard to take pictures of unless you have a high tech camera, with that being said, MeMom your pictures look better than any ones I ever attempted to take.

I too am not a good picture taker of fireworks! :confused3 They don't EVER turn out like some I've seen. It looks like you had a fun night with some great people.

i've been gone for a while getting ready for Caleb's birthday party that we had today (which by the way he had no clue it was his birthday...his cousins ended up opening his presents because he had no interest except for LOVING eating his cake) I am was way behind! LOVE brooklyn's new haircut...looks soo grown up!

Love all of Brooklynn's books. My guess is the book on bats and the book on elephants. I know Hannah would love the book about bats. We were in Books-A-Million last night and I saw a Halloween book about bats. I didn't get it but I think I'll go back for it.

Brooklynn looks so grown up with her new hair cut! The Church Lady :scared1: me! Even with the scary Church Lady it looks like ya'll had a great time.

Awesome evening pictures!

Thanks MeMom & Wig'd, I can't wait to see everything!
One day I do hope we can meet! :goodvibes
I hope you are right about the crowds.
It will be a nice change to not be complaining about the heat.....:rotfl:

These next 3 months are the busiest retail days of the whole year!
I am so happy to have a Disney trip as a reward at the end of all the madness!

I was looking forward to Yak & Yeti but it will have to be another trip.
I had to make changes in my plans when I found out the last days for the holiday stuff.

The last day to see the "Mickey's Once upon a Christmas parade" and "Holiday Wishes" is Jan.1. so it will now be MK on arrival day and Kona for dinner.

Fantasmic is only showing Sat and Sun so it has to be HS on Jan.2. SCI FI for dinner. Osbourne Lights is still showing!!!

Last day for the "Jingle Jungle parade" is Jan.3. So AK is a must! We will go to Chef Mickey's for dinner and then DTD!

Epcot will be Jan.4. Dinner at Garden Grill with Farmer Mickey and Chip & Dale!

Our last park day has to be MK! Bkfst at Crystal Palace and dinner at Ohana. We will say good bye til we can go again....probably next August/September.

Short and sweet trip but sooo worth it! :thumbsup2

P.S. LOVE THE RED,WHITE and BLUE flower leis!!!

What a fun weekend with your girls!!! I was going to guess that you bought Bats and Little Elephant's Trunk for yourself, but I see someone already beat me to it. :goodvibes

I love that you all had 4th of July leis for the fireworks!

We had a nice time Friday and Saturday, and after I left to come home, they still had an evening birthday party to go to. I saw the invitation/directions paper that was sent out, and they were going to be having BBQ ribs, potato salad, and baked beans (and kid food for the kids), so their Saturday continued to get even better. :thumbsup2

I think Brooklynn was not only too young to understand the lady, but too tired to care what she was saying.

So off we went.

I know - you two threw those walking canes in a corner and took off! :woohoo:

It had to be very, very nice to walk across the street to Magic Kingdom. :goodvibes

Congratulations on your good grades. :teacher:

When are you going to Puerto Rico?

Do you need to meet outside a park when we come? I didn't know what your ticket situation was, and we will be outside the parks every day for a while to see Trent, since he won't have a ticket except for one day.

I too am not a good picture taker of fireworks! They don't EVER turn out like some I've seen. It looks like you had a fun night with some great people.

Drew could have gotten some good ones from that view, I bet.

We did have a fun night. It was pretty crowded up there, though, and Bella and I ended up inside the lounge after a short while so that she could get down and walk. The elevators were crazy trying to get back to the rooms, too. But, I am glad we were able to do it, since that is a rare opportunity!

Great people, for sure. ;)

That's why I don't stress out about presents for little ones, because they don't know the difference.

I'm glad you had some fun family time. :goodvibes

Awesome evening pictures!

I was in Books-a-Million the other day, too, but I left empty-handed. I was just browsing anyway, and I knew I'd rather spend the money at Brooklynn's book fair.

Thanks MeMom & Wig'd, I can't wait to see everything!

Sounds like your trip script has sort of written itself. I am excited for you to see Jammin' Jungle. Don't skip out on that. You will love the details in the floats.

Our Epcot meal on this trip will be from kiosks as we eat around World SHowcase at the F&W Festival.

Our trip is short, too, but anything is better than nothing. In March, I am hoping we can stay from Saturday morning until Thursday evening, and then in the summer, we'll be able to stay longer. Those long trips are just unbeatable, and they spoil you really fast. 4-5 day trips just seem like a blink of an eye compared to those!

We're looking forward to our first 'Ohana dinner next summer. We've done breakfast before.

What a fun weekend with your girls!!! I was going to guess that you bought Bats and Little Elephant's Trunk for yourself, but I see someone already beat me to it.

I love that you all had 4th of July leis for the fireworks!

You guessed right. The elephant one reminded me too much of my beloved Animal Kingdom safari not to get it.

Oh MeMom and Jill I finally got caught up to the very end!! I did it! Well to the very moment and your last post, that is!!! NOW I can stay current!!!;) Great 4th of July extravaganza, seems like you did so much, with Epcot, and then BLT and visiting with WigD and Shocker! SO much fun!!! I really loved BLT and WigD is right, just being able to walk to the MK is worth it! I am glad you liked Contempo Cafe! It is one of our favorites, very relaxing area. The fireworks from the observation deck are fabulous, and the 4th of July fireworks probably amazing!!!

Brooklynn's hair is adorable!!! TOOO cute! Your weekend does look like so much fun! I will say I chuckled about the car show... my guys would never have left, and we would have spent the whole afternoon there.

Your EPCOT photos just kept squealing!! I cannot wait to be there again! I love Epcot. Thanks for all the photos!!! :goodvibes

Jim Shore, I have to get myself a Disney Christmas Santa. I think that will be my next Santa. But like WigD says -- I hate paying full price!!!

Hurray for more! I can't wait! :yay:

I know how short a 4 day trips feels. Tomorrow is my last full day of part I. Luckily I will be back Sun. and have 3 more. After that, my future is unknown but I hope to get back sooner than later. :)

You will love Ohana. It is back on my positive list. The server makes the meal and 2 great and 1 not so great is still great to me.

I have watched it more than once, myself.
I haven't figured out what she is saying other than the singing, though.
Special mermaid language, I guess. :)
:upsidedow

My spyer is not working, I guess. Do share.

You are always leaving!!!

I will get a picture Mon. while I am there !!!! I couldn't get one when the guide pointed it out because we were on Segways and he would not let us.

I used to love the book fairs at school! And Brooklynn's haircut is adorable :cutie:

I remember thinking of all of you at BLT watching the fireworks on the 4th. I ended up going to the roof of the college library (with a ton of other people!) to watch the ones in Boston with Charles, my brother, and two other friends. We went swimming at my boyfriend's aunt's, too, so we kind of had the non-Disney version of what you guys had :)

I know Christine told you we were going to try to meet up, and we actually finalized plans already! We're meeting up in Boston two weeks from today and going to the aquarium and hanging out around the Faneuil Hall marketplace area, since they're pretty close together. We're really excited!

Wow, the view from the top of BLT is amazing. Wouldn't it have been nice to stay in that moment all night!?! :cloud9:

Brooklynn's haircut is so cute!

That church lady was a bit over-zealous. Don't think a 4 year old needs to think that hard about SIN! The look on church-lady's face said it all.:scared1:

OK, so now I must visit the BLT one day. How nice of your disfriends to invite you over to share in the 4th fun. Fireworks pictures are so hard, atleast you can tell they are fireworks! I always end up with just video, my pictures are always so dark!

On the 18th we are hoping to do character spot, soarin, test track, and nemo before making our way to ws for food and wine. If there is a certain time that would be good to meet up in the seas that could work. BTW thanks Jill for adding me on facebook:).

I love your fireworks pictures! My Wishes pictures came out terrible. I actually got one that was pretty good...on my phone. :rotfl: The ones on my camera were awful!

My bathroom wall has a couple of tiny little drawings that Drew did when he was very small. They are on dark wallpaper and are about the size of a dime, so they have just stayed there for years. Whenever I finally pull that wallpaper off, I have a feeling I will cut out the little gingerbread men-type figures and keep them forever.

I mess up all the time. I usually see my mistakes when someone quotes me, as you did. I noticed I didn't capitalize giraffe, when it should have been Geoffrey Giraffe - an old Toys R Us toy. I also have a couple of keys that like to stick, so sometimes it looks like I don't know how to spell!

Yay for a DIS meet! :woohoo:

We have some drawings on the wall next to the basement stairs but they're not from me. They're from whoever lived here before us  There's some random writing on the back of my bedroom door too.

We just made a date for our DIS meet! October 17 :cool1: We're going to the aquarium. My mom's gonna go do something with one of her friends who lives around there while I hang out with Meg. We both get to spend time with a friend so it works out great :) We were talking about how cool this is gonna be even though it's hard to beat our AK and MK meets. I said this can be our fake Epcot meet and we can pretend we're at the Living Seas :rotfl:

Edit: I just noticed that Meg already posted about that :rotfl:

Cute pool pics. Yay for gifts on the 4th. i thought ur fireworks pics were just fine. Love Brooklyn's hair. SO cute! Glad you got to spend some time with your girls!

LOVE Brooklynns haircut! What a big girl!! :cutie:

So special that you were able to be there for grandparents' day.

When you go to 'Ohana for dinner next summer, make sure you have a VERY empty stomach! Everything is soooo delicious from beginning to end and there's a lot of food. YUM! It's my favorite dinner!
