OMGoodness, I HAVE to have one of these!!! When you go in October, can you look for one for me? I can send you the money in advance or you can just let me know the UPC number.

Pssssst Denise, these are toddler sizes. I bought one for Harper at Spring Break...:cutie:

Summer2010PoptotheTop132.jpg

I see something I bought in this pic...the ornament. I settled for that once I found out that Vero Beach did not have ornaments. I was a bit sad about that!

I also have that car decal thanks to my favorite enabler... she did some spring shopping for me...and the keychain too.

I want to go to Olivia's... I love these pics MeMom ... a good intro to OKW!

I love all of those pin pictures !!! Old Key West looks really nice, we never been there. Oh MeMon if you ever drive around Disney and end up in the real Key West you can come and visit us here in Miami. It will be really nice to have a Dismeet down here :beach:.

Wow! Brooklynn is getting so tall. Don't our DIS babies know that they aren't allowed to grow up.

I recognize those folks!:goodvibes

It was really great getting to meet you guys!! I didn't mind waiting at all-I was so excited to get to meet some DISer's. I was so bummed though that it started to rain and you guys didn't get to see the room. I could've hung out with everyone for hours!! Dancin princess' dad probably thought I was nutso since I kinda squealed when I realized he worked at TSMM and we'd seen him on our day there!:rotfl:

For anyone contemplating an OKW stay it gets two thumbs up from us! We didn't have a refurbed room but it was still very nice. So comfortable and BIG! The pool was great and we loved the community hall-it had a pool table, air hockey, darts, arts and crafts, movies, games, and bunches of other stuff that were all free. The CM's were all super friendly-the best service we've had from any of our stays for sure.

I'm booking next summer's trip in just a few days!!!:thumbsup2

You are invited to eat anytime. I make a mean fried corn if I do say so myself.:lmao: I am a country girl at heart also. I have already frozen strawberries, beans, and corn. We made tomato sauce and canned it. I want to do beets also. My favorite dinner would be fried corn, fried green tomatoes, green beans, fresh cucumbers, etc. Yummy!!
Love the pics of OKW and the pins are really growing on me. I think I want to start a collection to put on a cork board for the playroom.

I make a mean fried corn if I do say so myself.:lmao:

Mmmm, what is fried corn? I've canned spaghetti sauce and also cooked/chopped chicken. I freeze strawberries, strawberry freezer jam, blueberries, sour cherries, peaches, and applesauce. Makes the winter more enjoyable! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you finally made it to OKW. I have never seen that resort. It looks very nice in your pictures. Maybe I need to visit there sometime. I am glad Brooklynn liked pin trading. It is one of my kids favorite part of a Disney trip, mine too.

disappearing boat captains and main bus stops being closed....sounds like disney was having some transportation issues that day! :confused3

sounds like a great dismeet though. i thought OKW was very pretty and laid back. although seeing that lobby at 1:00am and not being able to check in (or use the bathroom) because of some faulty info a CM gives you is no fun. (see september 2007 TR - http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=21104244&postcount=2) i think we just experienced one of the few bad eggs as far as CMs go that night. but it was still a very pretty place!

Enjoyed the two updates I'd missed.

Sounds like a fun DIS meet at OKW---I got a kick out of Brooklynn's face as she watched her cartoons. I think I may have seen that same look on my own kids at one time or another. ;)

As far as Bella's game of getting into the smallest space she can............Well, whenever my kids were smaller and played that game, there was usually a scent drifting from that small space!

lurker here just thought i would come out of hidding to say that i love all of your pics and the girls are so cute. My nieces zoey and bella love to see your pics

Hi MeMom! I had so much fun today :goodvibes Caleb is so big now! He isn't as shy as he used to be. If he was away from his parents he cried, but today he was with me for a good 15 minutes while they were talking to some other relatives and he was fine. The babies both loved the pool. I didn't go in because chlorine bothers me sometimes, but I sat on the edge with my legs in and took pictures and sat with the babies when they got tired of being all the way in. It looked like I had walked in with my shorts on because I had wet babies sitting on my lap. My shorts were soaked :rotfl:

I wish Josh could've come, but he had to work. We might be having a cookout next weekend. I hope we can get everyone together at the same time, but it's hard because Josh works most weekends. He's a chef so he has weird hours.

I put some pictures from today on facebook if you want to see them :)

Yup a whole pic of my dad :goodvibes and my sister's got "the look" going on that CP was talking about in her PTR. :rotfl:

I recognize those folks!:goodvibes

It was fun meeting everyone! I was BEYOND excited and even more to be in one of MeMom and Jill's TRs :goodvibes

No he didn't think you were crazy. He was just tickled that you recognized him.

Memom, thanks for the updates.
Love the members picture wall.
Can't wait to read more and see more pictures.

I have the feet/heel thing going on too.....

KIM

This could be a slow picture week, since I will be at camp all week. I'll do what I can in the little spurts that I am at home, and maybe Jill can put up some of her souvenir pictures or do an installment, too.

Seems like we have enough people to form a Feeble Walkers Club, huh??? ;)

Pssssst Denise, these are toddler sizes. I bought one for Harper at Spring Break...

Yep, those were for tiny DVCers!
I guess if you are little, a kids large might fit, though. :)

What a lovely DIS group!
Boooo for the rain!!!
I'm off to the mall and a few other places to run errands soon. I'll try my best to get some Disney Store pictures for you.:goodvibes

I'm always up for Disney Store pictures!

I just love DISmeets! You all look like a bunch of nice people and isn't that a Memom I spy in that picture? lol

OKW looks awesome and so does their shopping! Looks like Brooklynn made out like a bandit. A visor and a balloon animal. Lucky little girl!

I think DH and I and youngest DD are going to take your advise when we take DD to college in August. I think we are actually going to stay at All Star Music (never been there) and resort hop and shop! Then we'll actually save the parks for our December trip (Lord willing). Thanks for the suggestion.

Loving the trip so far...

We've stayed at Music 2-3 times We like it. It has a pretty calm feel to it, or at least it did when we were there. There were some groups of high-schoolers, but they were very well-behaved. They have movies out by the pool at night, which is cool for a value resort. Resort hoppng will give you a big Disney fix without paying a dime for a park. :thumbsup2

The only negative for me at Music is that the fan and light in the bathroom were on one switch. If you turn the light on, the fan comes on, and I don't like that noise every time I go in there. That would be the one thing that would keep me from staying at Music. It's probably silly to most people, but I just didn't like the constant fan noise. I don't know if it is like that in every room, but it was in ours. At Pop, they are separate.

I'm going to guess who your secret shopper was.
Give me one-fifteenth of a second to think about it!

I wish I could have gotten more OKW pictures. Maybe next summer. :)

I would love to see Old Key West. I have been to Miami, but it was when I was a teenager, and we were going to check out a college for my cousin. It wasn't a sightseeing visit.

Wow! Brooklynn is getting so tall. Don't our DIS babies know that they aren't allowed to grow up.

Isn't she getting to be such a big girl? I love watching her get to participate in new Disney experiences. We'll just have to keep the little ones coming - spacing them out so there is always a baby in the bunch, too.

Ooops... :rolleyes1 Wish they made them bigger!

We'll keep our eyes out for those in October. :thumbsup2

That was cool that you remembered Ed. He's such a nice guy.

The OKW community hall sounds like a fun place for kids. I'm glad you guys had such a good time. If we cross trip paths again, maybe the weather will be better and we can sit out ont he picnic tables and have burgers together.

Corn, green beans, cucumbers, fried apples, mashed potatoes, and whatever meat you want to throw in there. I'm full just thinking of it!

I use the pins on a corkboard at school. I have all these lists to pin up, so when I look at the schedules, etc. I have some instant Disney memories staring me in the face, too. I love it!

Mmmm, what is fried corn? I've canned spaghetti sauce and also cooked/chopped chicken. I freeze strawberries, strawberry freezer jam, blueberries, sour cherries, peaches, and applesauce. Makes the winter more enjoyable!

You cook fresh corn in either bacon grease or butter. I do it in butter, but one of my grandmothers was a die-hard bacon grease person. She cooked everything in bacon grease.

All of your frozen fruits sound great, too, for making winter cobblers. :goodvibes

/Hello!

Kathy

Hello, Kathy!
Glad you are here. :woohoo:

I'm glad you finally made it to OKW. I have never seen that resort. It looks very nice in your pictures. Maybe I need to visit there sometime. I am glad Brooklynn liked pin trading. It is one of my kids favorite part of a Disney trip, mine too.

Jill will have to get a picture of the pins she got. She got her a new lanyard just for her trading pins.

Henry often makes the same face while watching TV!

What a great DIS meet! I'm glad you weren't too late as to miss everyone.

I think this wall is so neat. I really enjoyed just looking at all the various families when we visited OKW a few trips ago.

The wall was neat. So many families have had good times there. I love that!

I youtubed Saratoge Springs today, and I happened upon your Room #1301 video. Wonder if we could request that particular room? I loved your view!

We did have a few glitches in trying to get from one place to the next at first, but after that, I don't recall having any more long waits or issues.

I always am happy when we have the great CM's who really enjoy their jobs. ::yes::

Enjoyed the two updates I'd missed.

She gets completely absorbed in anything she watches. I love to just watch her face as she watches a movie. You can see the whole movie right there in her expressions.

lurker here just thought i would come out of hidding to say that i love all of your pics and the girls are so cute. My nieces zoey and bella love to see your pics

So glad you are enjoying the pictures. Feel free to join in the conversation any time. :)

I am glad your little ones enjoy the Disney pictures. :thumbsup2

What a fun picture from the DIS meet!!!

We had so many good DIS meets ont his trip!

I did see your pictures already. I am glad you are enjoying a special family weekend.

No he didn't think you were crazy. He was just tickled that you recognized him.

I'm surprised your brother is ready to go to another DIS meet. I thought your brother and sister both thought we were a little crazy.

Old Key West is pretty! I'd like to stay there someday. When I stayed at POFQ, OKW was the first stop and it was just beautiful. I haven't heard too much about the transportation there though. I'm hoping on Marc & I's next trip I can convince him to drive to Disney. I just want to try something different instead of flying all the time.
