From One DISigner to another....I need your advice

Has this ever happened to you? I recieved a form letter in my email this morning telling me that I was reported for abuse in my 4shared account. Seems that someone complained about one image and it was moved to an abuse file???I don't understand why the one image as there are dozens just like it with different names. The image is my own not anyone elses...ok I know that Disney owns everything Disney...but this isn't the case. My DD who is on many sites says someone got a hair across it for some reason and reported me for copyright...but what about the thousands of other designs? I sent 4shared a letter and I just need to vent right now. But it does make me wonder how long I will keep on DISigning especially when they are threatening to close my account. This is the last warning they stated. I've never had a first.What would you do??? Thanks for listening.

Just heard from 4shared....seems it wasn't a person it was some kind of software that deemed the image as copyright infringement. Has anyone here been closed out because of this and if so where do you go? Oh well back to Photobucket which I guess it could happen there also.

Sorry you are having trouble.

I've been on Photobucket for some time now and have not had any problems, however, I also pay for the "enhanced" account.

It seems to have nothing to do with their enchanced services more like a software that labeled the image copyright infringement. Odd that it would specify one design vs, thousands of others.

I have not had any issues with Photobucket....tried 4shared but it loaded my images so much slower that I abandoned it.

I certainly hope they don't do something to keep all you great DISigners from continuing to spread the magic that you do!!!

I have not had any issues with Photobucket....tried 4shared but it loaded my images so much slower that I abandoned it.

Image uploads were slow to non-exsistent until I switched to Google Chrome which I hate by the way. I just hate the thought of starting over.

Thanks...I Believe my file was hit at random. It was just one image....kind of strange. I was warned that if it happpens again my account would be banned. My account is 98 percent Disney, like that's not going to happen again. Kind of like the draw for jury duty. All I can say is goodbye 4shared...hello Photobucket, which I already have a premium account.

Thanks...if I loose 4shared I will simply move on. My designs are stored in an external hard drive but I really feel bad for those who will want to check out my work and find an empty file. I may have a lot of uploading to do in the future.

I got one of those before. I just deleted the pic and moved on. I think that someone might have gotten offended by what it said rather than the Disney pic itself. It wasn't meant to be offensive and I didn't realize that it could even be. It said something about being a fairy with a pic of tink.
Oh well... Hope it all works out for you.

On photobucket I also had a pic reported because the filename was tink blow. I didn't even think about it like that. It was a pic of tink blowing pixie dust.

Gee, I'm glad most of my file names are things like 1stTrip17 or 2ndBirthdayTink or License-Jake1....nobody should object to those I don't think!

I can't imagine a pic of Pirate Mickey in his bubble being offensive. No, I was told that it was selected via a software called Dtech Net. It protects sites from copyright infringement amongst other things. Too funny with your files. You can see where some peoples minds go.I deleted the image which was placed in a file labeled "Abuse" and at the top of everything. You'd think it was porn the way they treated it. Makes you wonder what the future will bring. Maybe too many cool Disney shirts and things that us designers make, slowing their business a bit? I got a Magical Moments certificate for our Halloween shirts this past October from a store CM who thought it was one of theirs.

I'm sure I can speak for my fellow DISigner's. We're not going anywhere. At least not that way.
