From Oil Wells to Jingle Bells-Bells,pg.66, See you in September!

Nancy, what i need is new stuff,,, and I probably need to step back for a while and clear my head fo Disney,,,,,maybe that way I'll have the passion to do the September trip,,,,, we do have a little bit going for us,,,,, we have 6 days for a Jambo House stay, and even though we've eaten at the restaurants before, we have only stayed at the resort a total of 3 nights back in '02, our first trip back to Disney and what brought us back together again.

And, we have never stayed at the Contemporary, either long term or temporary. (sorry) or much less Bay Lake Towers. What really has me worried though now is that gas by me is now at 3. 65,,,,,,,, and rising.

Well guess you'd better stay at the "new" resorts then! By September I'll be in total desperation to go again (I do okay for about a year after my own trip). Aren't there some restaurants that you haven't tried yet...will the new Fantasy Land be unveiled by then...the new Animator's Inn MIGHT be open...plenty of new stuff, right, right?? ;) (I feel like my great-aunt Hazel, she always ended every sentence with the words "right, right??")

And the gas is unbelievable, even now. Can't imagine what it's going to be in September. We're not quite as high as out your way - $3.46, at the CHEAP station.

I think posting select chapters from previous reports is a FABULOUS idea! It would be the shame to let them rot in the Disboard halls and Ponzi could add his color commentary! You had so much great stuff.

That should get us through to you September trip at least, you have so much great material.

NEBOITES, how do you vote??????

I vote yes. (believe it or not. I would love to relive some of those. theywere much better times!!!!! lol!

Still love the pic of Nebo and the hairbrush.

"Why do you need a hairbrush, you don't have any hair???" from Veggie Tales.

Cracks me up when you talk about your pool adventures.

Hey! What did you do to your ankle? Hope your feeling better and remember, there is only one "I", in Vicodin,,,, the rest you send to me. I will have to look him up on Utube,,, we did like the guy we saw in 92 but can't for the life of me remember his name, but he was current events driven and also family friendly.

Apparently I thought it would be fun to play "Pop Goes the Ankle" leaving work one night :scared1: And sorry, no Vicodin here. They gave me Percocet instead ;)

Is this who you saw? http://www.yehaabob.com/. He's been playing at POR for quite a long time now.

Well Marie, I guess as far as posting old chapters, you, me and Marita are the only ones who like it.
I remember in the past getting tired and lazy when I said I 'd post a new chapter and instead go for a rerun...... nope,,,,,it was like I posted a documentary on Battle Creek, Mi., and how they are expunging and disinfecting your bowels at some luxury vacation resorts up there, run under the name of Kellogg's.

Apparently I thought it would be fun to play "Pop Goes the Ankle" leaving work one night :scared1: And sorry, no Vicodin here. They gave me Percocet instead ;)

Um, your do realize that Percocets are Vicodins all grown up now? They are not only the Oscar, but the Statuette that is now being clutched in the winner's hand!
The creme de le creme'!
The Piece de resistance'

They are also very addictive so you would benefit greatly by giving me your address and letting me come and take these nasty, nasty things off your hands before they cause any problems.
Don't worry, I don't mind, I'm always looking out for the best interests of the readers who turn into friends.

Is this who you saw? http://www.yehaabob.com/. He's been playing at POR for quite a long time now.

No, can't risk chasing a website to verify if it's the same guy when I'm in the middle of a post,,,,, confusers will use any excuse they can to make what I've written go away, I'll check it out later.
But one thing I remember from him back in '94, yeah, '94 it was,,,, he was THRILLED we were from Chicago,,,,, and he was loaded with Chicago political jokes he wasn't going to be able to use if it wasn't for us.
And I remember he was big on Dan Rostenkowski jokes,,and Dan's new life in the Chicago Political Retirement Home,,,, otherwise known as a PRISON.

And no, that's my line, not his. :happytv:

Well Marie, I guess as far as posting old chapters, you, me and Marita are the only ones who like it.

Oh, is that so? Well remember, you asked for it!
(and if it's midnight, I must be working! Again! :headache:)

So, if you feel like it, we are going to travel back in time tonight to May of 07, almost 4 years ago and no, I can't believe it's been that long either.

What? Isn't Mr. Hillyer going to narrate? Gotcha thinking on that one, don't I? Here's a hint: He never names the hero, but names Weena.

You know, I thought I had a little extra time when I got home, and so, decided to give Mischief a bath.

?? I thought her name was Smidgy? All right, I'm with ya. Go on.

She's the cat that sneaks out all the time.

oh.

That's not nearly as much fun, though.

Then again, if you'd stop giving the cat baths, maybe it wouldn't sneak out all the time. Just sayin'

It went better than I thought it would. She seemed to like it. I didn't mind it too much. No blood was drawn. Boy,
if it wasn't for all the fur stuck to my tongue,,,,

:lmao: Didn't catch the "fur stuck to my tongue" part the first read through.

I had said I was going to be opinionated this chapter, and there are going to be enought Dis. Uni. comparisons made, to alienate almost all readers.

Not to worry, you don't need any help to alienate the readers.

It really is a pretty cool looking pool, still have no idea whatsoever what these "gazing balls" are supposed to be but I'm not gonna argue with them.

I personally am not in favor of people who spend their time gazing at other people's balls. :snooty:

Only not now. It's about two in the afternoon, we just want to relax for a bit, and build up the "precautionary" suntan.
I hate having to wear "glop".
For protection.

Well, of course you'll need protection. See previous comment. :rolleyes1

Besides, why do I want to hang out where all the "zeros" hang out?

Me! Me! :yay: I think he's so cool, what with the mask and the sword and making his big "Z" mark and... oh, zeros... nevermind

Don't you just love it when folks leave for their room and just leave the towels on the chairs? You can't tell if any body is sitting there or not.

Sure you can! It's easy! I'll teach you. If you see something on a chair with limbs and various amounts of hair in various places, then somebody's sitting there! See, that wasn't so hard was it? If it's a quadruple amputee though, yer on yer own, bub.

After 15 minutes by the pool, in front of these half blown out speakers, that are so loud as to be distorting, I was starting to lose my mind.

Whaddya mean, starting?

And as we're sitting there, I'm trying not to look at Diane. I know, If I make eye contact, she's going to complain about the speakers right behind us, and we'll be packing up , moving again to different chairs. So, I don't look to my left, where she's sitting.

You'll pay for that...

After awhile, I was starting to feel like I was on the verge of losing my mind again, but I really didn't want to go look for new chairs,,, then I guess Diane got tired of waiting for me to look at her, and smacked my arm a good one.

...see.

And then it came on.
It!
Probably the worstest everest nastiest song ever made in the universe of bad song making."EVerybody was Kung Fu fighting."

Why do people insist on playing that song? It was funny the first time I heard it. Kinda chuckled the next couple of times I heard it. The next 35 years? Not so much.

No, don't even think about "escape". " Do you like pina colada's?" "Getting caught in the ",,,,, Stop it! They'll play that next!!

ummm... I kinda like that one.

Not Diane, though.
She has a very hearty, delicate laugh.

"Right?" "Snort?"

Ooohhh, you're gonna pay for that one too. Hey, I was right the last time.

Evidently, we had a really bad time with film this trip, I never had this problem before, but almost half of what we took, didn't come out.

Film? What's that? :confused3

Yes, all of you with digitals form a line on the right to lambast me. But I never had this problem before. The only thing I can figure, and if any of you can verify what I'm about to say, please, feel welcome to do so, Is that my film was too old. I had two throw away camera's, and my trusty Canon Shure shot.
Which turned into a Maybe shot.
Then a Your guess is as good as mine , shot.

So what you're saying is, it was shot.

You also get a 32 inch plasma tv in your room

I remember when I bought a tube 32". People came over just to see it, cause nobody had ever seen such a big TV. Now it sits in the basement, not even plugged in 'cause it's so 'small'. Heck, I can't even get rid of the thing.

From my good friend lexmelinda who once tried to give me technical instructions on how to post and this and that, by ending it, "Easy peazy, lemon squeezy."
And it stuck in my head. Like it's a Small world , does. I couldn't get it out of my head.

Great. I'm already tired. And now I've got "It's a small, small world and it's easy peazy, lemon squeezy." stuck in my head. Thanks a bunch. Really. Truly...

Used it at work. Used it everywhere. Once bought 3 big biker guys a beer at the bar and when one of them held up his beer in thanks and said, "Dude." I responded, "easy peazy, lemon squeezy."

You didn't! :scared1:

Almost got me killed.

I bet!

There... now don't you feel better? :lmao:

We really both appreciate that coming from a couple of Wildcats, but again,,,,, it wasn't like she or I went out of our way to help Henry,,,,I'm sure anybody would have done the little we did, we just happened to be first.

Trust me, There are some people in this world that would have looked the other way. Its good to know that there are people out there with the Disney heart and soul like you and Smidgy have. :cutie:

As for being dissed...Never! If you want to get technical, throughout the series of the books, The Wizard is absolutely LOVED by all in the Emerald City and is invited back to stay by Princess Ozma and he now takes lessons from Glinda the Good and has become a very good and powerful wizard. :upsidedow

Nope. If the three of us went together, poor Smidgy'd be driven insane after the first five minutes. :crowded:

Nebo, "Aaaaaaaaaaaand, We're Off!!!"
pkondz, "our rockers?"
Nebo, "We rock!"
pkondz, "and we're rolling! Are we there yet?"
Nebo, "to see the Yeti! The wonderful Yeti of Everest!"
pkondz, "'cause we're off, we're off, we're off, we're off, we're off our wonderful rockers!"
Nebo, "Where's Smidgy?"
pkondz, "she threw herself out of the car about a mile back. Mumbled something about "preserving sanity"."

I have watched WAY too much M*A*S*H, I read that and I was hearing Hawkeye and BJ in my mind. (Nebo had the voice of Hawkeye).

:lmao::rotfl::laughing::rolleyes1 Ahem...Sorry...I have to agree with bankr63 on this one. I heard the same thing in my head when i read that. And pictured poor Smidgy looking at them from the back seat of the car with the look that was very like that of Charles Winchester III. :rotfl:

Holy cow, Nebo, it was 2007 you went through the job mysery??? Seems like it was just yesterday :confused3

I think posting select chapters from previous reports is a FABULOUS idea! It would be the shame to let them rot in the Disboard halls and Ponzi could add his color commentary! You had so much great stuff.

Another vote for YES!!!! ::yes::

We have a new edition to the family,,,a tad prematurely to say the least, born 3 weeks ahead of time but it sounds like it was a goo thing,,,,,,,9 pounds, 7 ounces,,,,,,,
meet Mason!
This is the second for Jeremy and Laura, Kaylie is 2 and a half, but now they have the pirate and the princess,,,,, should make for an expensive Disney trip when they are old enough.
Eveyone is doing fine, including Gramma Smidgy.

Congratulations! Hope everybody is doing well and can't wait to see pictures of the little pirate.

Congratulations Grandpa Nebo and Grandma Smidgy. :dance3: Oh yeah; to Jeremy and Laura to. Good thing you quit smoking so you can start saving for those expensive Disney trips.

Ichetucknee Springs State Park - I used to be a park ranger there about 30 years ago :goodvibes It is a beautiful area! Not sure how you would like that cold spring water (I get the distinct impression you are not that crazy about cold in FL), it stays about 72 degrees year round. If you go make sure you get a tube that keeps your bottom up out of the water :lmao: If you float the whole length it's about 6 miles.

Ok, that might work, didn't say I wanted to swim in it. And i see the river got longer,,,,,,,just a few hours ago it was only 3 miles long!:lmao:

Hey quiet, what are you doing? This isn't a democracy,,,,,shheesh

Well guess you'd better stay at the "new" resorts then! By September I'll be in total desperation to go again (I do okay for about a year after my own trip). Does anybody else have this feeling of Deja Vu? We would like to stay at the Animation Inn, but that won't be open next year.

Oh, is that so? Well remember, you asked for it!
(and if it's midnight, I must be working! Again! :headache:)

What? Isn't Mr. Hillyer going to narrate? Gotcha thinking on that one, don't I? Here's a hint: He never names the hero, but names Weena.

Ok, I'm going to take a shot here, and I never realized the hero didn't have a name, but I'm guessing the last line or quote in the "story" is,,,,"for now he has all the time in the world."
Huh Huh? did I geddit? Huh?

:lmao: Didn't catch the "fur stuck to my tongue" part the first read through.

I love lines that catch you by surprise.

Not to worry, you don't need any help to alienate the readers.

I personally am not in favor of people who spend their time gazing at other people's balls. :snooty:

:lmao: For some reason I got away with it the first time around four years ago,,,,and i had a bunch of lewd readers back then too! Right Marie, Marita, Janet?

Why do people insist on playing that song? It was funny the first time I heard it. Kinda chuckled the next couple of times I heard it. The next 35 years? Not so much.

I can't believe you let "I'm a joker, I'm a smoker,,,,,,, go by.

ummm... I kinda like that one.

Ok, sorry Rupert.

So what you're saying is, it was shot.

yes, it wasn't a Sure shot, it was no longer a Maybe shot, it had pretty much become a Shot shot.

I remember when I bought a tube 32". People came over just to see it, cause nobody had ever seen such a big TV. Now it sits in the basement, not even plugged in 'cause it's so 'small'. Heck, I can't even get rid of the thing.

We have a 32 inch tube in the living room and another one in a bedroom,,,, these are the biggest we have and I'm not dumping them!
I almost killed myself getting that 400 pound monstrosityk up the stairs by myself!

Great. I'm already tired. And now I've got "It's a small, small world and it's easy peazy, lemon squeezy." stuck in my head. Thanks a bunch. Really. Truly...

If you're already tired it sounds like you need a Utahmama; "Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey" thing going on in your head then.

There... now don't you feel better? :lmao:

um,,,,,,,no.

:rotfl:

ha ha, that's good. I can kinda picture that myself.

Another vote for YES!!!! ::yes::

What, have I cornered the Canadian market on this report? I don't think BC stands for Boston College.
Actually Kris, I think you've posted before,,,,that line in your signature looks decidedly familiar. :happytv:

Want to thank you all for the congrats on the baby, I'll let you know if there's more news. And no, no idea where the name Mason came out of,,, I was rooting for Nebo.:lmao:

Ok, that might work, didn't say I wanted to swim in it. And i see the river got longer,,,,,,,just a few hours ago it was only 3 miles long!:lmao:

I was hoping you wouldn't catch that  Actually it takes 3 hours to float down and that's what I was thinking....... Anyway, the best way to go is in a canoe.

Allrighty now,,,, i should have and actual NEW chapter up tomorrow night, early.

But one thing,,,, I can't just keep posting old chapters from old reports,,,,they'll run me out of town on a rail!
Heck, as much as I'd like to,,,,fun reading these again after a few years go by,,,but, it's just morally, ethically wrong I think to tie up a slot with just "old stuff".

Besides, isn't that plagarism?
Can you plagarize yourself?:lmao:

No, doesn't seem right. That last chapter I posted was from the third report, near the beginning before we even got to Disney,,,,,but that was a great time for us,,, St. Augustine Beach before that was a lot of fun,,,,,,, the getting lost at Portofino Bay was fun too in hind sight,,, and even the fight at Pat O'Brien's was cool too,,,,, still wish I wasn't wearing all white though.

Ok, anyway,,,, after this is over, probably best I step back for a bit, re coup,,, maybe get a new little notebook to jot down thoughts and see what September brings, yep, wish we were going to UNI,,,, love to rigtht a report on Harry Potter Land and show everybody what Ron and Hermione are really up to!
