Hi! Anyone know where I can get Frog Togg Chilly Pads in Canada, without paying $25 in shipping charges!? Going first two weeks of September :)

I was in the same boat until I thought of Bed Bath and Beyond. They had them, several colors and for about $20. I tested it out and it works great.

I bought mine in the States but I just want to say that they really work. :-)

I just got the sports version of the towels for $13 on sale at "bed bath and beyond" yesterday in ottawa.

Amazon.ca has them but I don't know if they count in their free shipping or not. I was planning on ordering some bandanas as I thought they might be easier to use then drapping the towels around your neck since you can tie them. There are a couple of different styles and brands so I don't know which would be the best but as they aren't crazy expensive I thought I migth try a couple out before we go and see which ones are the best.

Apparently available at the Bass Pro in Vaughan too.

I just checked them out on Amazon and came across this brand as well: http://www.coolcanuck.com/towels They seem to be the same sort of idea as Frog Toggs. Has anyone tried this brand? They are a Canadian brand which is a plus!

I picked up one at Bass Pro in Vaughn last week. They were $19.99 and had lots in stock. I had to ask several people before I could find one, but they are in the "Rain Gear" department. I got a neon yellow one!

Has anyone tried the CoolCanucks towels or scarves? I bought five of theirs and I sure hope they work! They have cute maple leaf ones, and plain too. I just don't know if they will work as well as the frog togs. I tried one out on a hot day visit to the zoo and it was cool, I just really don't know how cool it is supposed to be compared to the frog togs.

I purchased a Frog Togg while on vacation earlier this month. This weekend we were outside in 38o temps and the FT was AWESOME!! I also let a few others try it for a bit and all were really impressed.

I'm going to cut the one I purchased in half length wise and share it with a friend who is also going to be at Disney in August.

If you can find this product I highly recommend it!

This is a new one on me--are they the "cooling scarves" that you can drape around your neck? I got something from Lee Valley last year, a bandana with beads that swell up when soaked...effective but somewhat drippy. They also have a "snap" towel thing, I think I'll try that one. IIRC, they are closer to $10 than $20...has anyone used them?

I hope this helps someone....if you live close to the border, I got mine at Walmart in Niagara Falls, NY on red sticker clearance for $11 (regular $12.88) last week. They only had light yellow (kind of like a cream color) but the price was right! They were in the camping section.

I bought 4 last Saturday at the Bed Bath and Beyond in Whitby for $13.49 each (25% off $17.99) for last years model in the free sports bottle. 2 blue, 1 pink and 1 red. They still had plenty of these along with this years one in the triangle tube but those were $19.99 and no discount.

Haven't tried them out yet. We're going in August so we'll get to test them out for sure.

Thanks for the replies! I live in Nova Scotia, and will need to drive an hour and a half to get to the nearest Bed Bath and Beyond. If I don't have any luck there, I'll pick them up in Maine, we're flying out of Portland in September! Can't wait!

Same technology. Should be the same.
