Friday the thirteenth

Was anyone else at Disneyland this past Friday? It seemed packed! DW and I were there from just after opening until about 1pm, and the park was full of high-schoolers on senior day or something. The situation was compounded by Space Mtn being down for rehab, Big Thunder breaking down mid-morning, and Haunted Mansion not opening until about noon. It was almost impossible to walk through Adventureland due to the wall-to-wall guests! We bailed and spent the afternoon at DCA which was a little better.

<font color=navy>I went to Downtown Disney on Saturday, and it was crowded there - and I was surprised at how warm -- it's been cool all week, and then the weekend comes.... BAM!

I avoid Adventureland like crazy now - it's always so packed.

We were there this week a few years ago and the only day that was uncrowded was Father's Day Sunday. Every other day was wall to wall with kids on year unfield trips and Groups of Seniors on "ditch day" or whatever. The HS'ers caused a few troubles, including being allowed to ride multiple times (in a row) on Astro Orbitor while others had to wait in line.

Yep, it's that time of year when I avoid DL like the plague, unfortunately.
