Well our trip wouldn't have been complete would it without another breakdown!
We had decided to get up and get straight on our way home, so we were going to stop off somewhere for breakfast, we checked out and loaded up the car, got DVD players set up for boys and were ready but......car wouldn't start! Flipping great, it was also snowing thick and fast too! So got boys out and went back into hotel to get postcode and I rang the AA. Said be there in an hour so we went and had a slow breakfast at the Table Table. AA finally came out just before 11am and car started after several attempts! So we jumped back in and were off finally. We arrived home just after 4pm as we stopped for some lunch and a couple of toilet stops too. We did say next time we think we might try flying! As airport is 20 mins from us but decided with the transfer from CDG and back it wasn't much difference to Eurostar. Least that way we won't have a broken down train and car!
Home finally so I sorted out all the washing and crancked up the washer I got the laptop out as I wanted to email Eurostar about the dissapointment of breaking down. I found an email from them sent on the day we broke down offereing us a choice of 2 compensations, either a return trip for all passengers, a year to use it, or a partial refund, which would have been about £90. Well no guessing which we will go for! So now all we need is another flash sale and hopefully we can match the dates together! Oh and it will be a summer trip we hope, no hats and gloves or thermals!!
If you made it this far, thanks for reading, I have enjoyed putting it all down on here, didn't realise how long it would take me though!! Plus sorry I couldn't work out the pictures to show straight away and not just a link, maybe I will have mastered that for next time!
