Free SSR vacation with DVC purchase

I received a post card today from DVC that states "....And be sure to ask about our limited-time, complimentary vacation offer." SO.... I went to the disney website and it looks as if you get a complimentary ssr vacation with purchase. Does anyone know the details ?

I asked the very same question not all that long ago....The DVC website doesn't quite give all the details....

Basically, if you purchase through DVC, until February 28th, you will receive $10 off per point if you travel to WDW AFTER your use year. If you want to travel before your use year, they will give you developer points (equal to your purchase amount) to use at a DVC resort other than SSR.

When you take the freebie vacation offer, you lose the $10 off per point promo.....

You also can not stay at SSR using the developer points and they can not be banked. You must use them before the use year.
