Free quick-service meal per person, per night! At most Value Resorts.

This is interesting, Denise.

A free QS meal rather than an entire day of free dining. Since they've been nibbling back on the resorts and dates offering free dining, I wonder if this is the new incarnation. The cost to the resort General Managers is less, for sure.

It's nibbling back all right. As numbers keep going up during the off season dates I think free dining is going to slowly die off. I wonder if this means that the food diversity at the restaurants will improve back to the pre-free dining era?

One can hope...oh wait, I usually eat my own cooking.

Cabins aren't considered a Value Resort they are a Moderate, this promotion says "Book a Walt Disney World package that includes a Value resort room and theme park tickets and get one free quick-service meal per person, per night!"

Yeah, I think Denise and Ed were referring to how it no longer included a full dining plan for the day, only a quick service. Not so much about it possibly including cabins or campsites.

We sometimes post these links since deals like this can sometimes be more affordable than staying at the campground so we try to keep each other up to date.

The campsites and cabins are considered moderate resort.

No, look at her title. "Cabins only, Free quick-service meal per person, per night!"

I've been around long enough to know what people post on here. Just trying to make people understand it is for Value Resorts. Title is misleading and incorrect.

Gotcha, no problems. Appreciate it. Wasn't trying to insinuate anything.

TBH, I didn't even click the link. But I am surprised that they're offering a "free food" type of special offer over the summer visit time when in the past they've done discounted rooms over the summer time. Usually Free Food/Free Dining was offered from late August and into the fall.

I do find it interesting, though parrothead, even if this is for Value resorts only, the Offer Details explicitly say this offer excludes campsites (and the AoA Little Mermaid standard rooms, darn it!).

Glad I have my own trailer anyway.

PS - but with falling gas prices, don't you think more people would be reserving summer vacations to places like WDW?

On a funny note, and feeling bad for missing Parrothead64's point, I called the reservation line and inquired about whether or not this offer included the cabins. I was told by the CM that "yes" they were. Knowing what PH had pointed out was true, I called back. Different CM who told me that "no" they weren't. Hhmmmm, gotta tie going on here. So, yes, I called a third time just for laughs and was told "no" by the third different CM. I probably could have kept this going for a while but you get my point.

I find it interesting that the offer is only for a (Note, SINGULAR) Quick Serve Meal per person per day and NOT the QS Dining plan (which gives you 2 QS and a Snack, not to mention the Refillable Mug). Now add on the fact that you MUST buy tickets through WDW to get this offer, it's really not much of an incentive in my mind. The price is just about a wash versus what a basic travel agent could get you without the offer, (assuming you would by a QS meal each day).

Granted at the fort, we have alternatives (like our own kitchen) to rely on, but I think I can find a much better deal by shopping around. I know for our trip in November, I am going to save over $200 on tickets to the park by NOT going through Disney.
