Question: What size FONT did you guys use? Size 12 seems so small but I dont want to crowd out the pics!

Also, I didn't realize you can use more than 20 pictures, but its only 20 pages.
So, can I make one with less pages, or do I need to add pictures?

I believe it has to be at LEAST 20 pages, once i tried to do one with less, and it wouldn't let me.. but maybe that was just me..

I keep trying to do the custom cover, but then it won't let me change the first page to a full pic, even with the photo (custom cover cover) it says that "to show thru the cover, blah blah.." i don't want it to show thru the cover... ugh.. i can't fix it.. I am just trying to go with it and see what happens..

Ugh, well, my computer froze on me.. and i lost it .

You drag and drop... see the bottom of the screen - you can choose tabs for background / borders / layout. First do layout. You can make a choice from any of them on the bottom. You click and drag it up to the page you want, then drop it. You can do the same with the backgrounds - click the background tab (there are several choices for each category - look for the headings), drag and drop onto the page.

As far as fonts, I typed in what I wanted, then I set each font to as big as I could. You can change colors and centering horizontal / vertical as well with the choices next to font.

Also, depending on which font you choose you can fit more words on - playful seems to be small than everyday, for instance.

YES! Make sure you save it occasionally just in case you get bumped - very frustrating! It gets saved in your projects.

I don't have many pics on my hard-drive, since we lost a lot when our computer crashed a year ago. I did re-upload our pics from '06 and '07 trips, so I decided to make a book of our Universal and Islands of Adventure photos since I'm not likely to work on my scrapbook any time soon.

I posted on the other thread about this deal, but I just bought one of these books (8x8 size and full price) for my sister for Christmas. The book came out amazing. I'm going to do the free one now too. You can save the book and go back to it later. I did mine over a couple of days because I wanted it to be perfect.

You can change layouts, and it will replace pictures automatically. For example, you have a page with 3 pictures that you've placed. You want to change it to a four page layout. So drag the layout you want, and the pictures will be moved into the new layout. I don't know what happens if you go the other way (fewer spots on the new layout), but it sounds like you really just want to change your pages to layouts with more pictures on each page.

Alternately, when you click on the page in the layout you have the choice of edit (little paintbrush) or remove (I think it's an x?). Click the x and it will remove the picture to the right side of the screen. You don't want to click the x on the pix in the right side, as that deletes them from your choices.

FWIW, if you're only putting 21 pix on 20 pages, you'll have lots of big pictures. Make sure they're a high enough resolution (an exclamation mark will show if it's not high enough res.) for big 8 x 11 page pictures. Personally I only have a few pages with single pictures. I'm pretty sure two or three pictures to a page will still be big enough. JMO, of course.
