I just got a letter in the mail today from the mang at ohana giving us 5 free meals at ohana for our next trip tip included...I went to ohana a few months ago when I was in orlando for a small trip to sea world with my parents, while we were there someone had gotten sick all over and after 30 minutes of no one cleaning it up we paid for our meal (not even finishing) and left, after letting the waiter know why we were leaving.well today I get the letter....very nice of them,so now when my family and I go in dec we will be able to go to california grill (2 ts points) with the credit we are saving at ohanas!THAT is good cust. service!

First off gross that no one cleaned that up and yes I would have left like you did. I'm glad they made it right.

Once I was at Jiko and no one cleaned it up. Granted that was just water, so it didn't disturb my meal, but I thought they should clean it up, because what if someone fell?

I'm glad that you were comped though, and have fun at Ohana and CA Grill.

Why would they not clean it up? Not very magical to see vomit all over the floor. Good thing the manager comped you for it.

I'm so happy for you that Disney made it right. Like you, I would have left too.

Good for you! I love to hear stories like this one.

yes it was very nice....he called me also to let me know he sent the letter and was very nice about it.We would have went there anyway (we already had ADR) so he didnt have to do it but it was a nice thing to do...he said he wanted to make it right! :thumbsup2 I am happy because now we can use 2 ts credits to go to CG and we have wanted to go for a loooong time.It is my dd2 b day and she will be thrilled to see the fireworks from such a great spot!

I am sure that the reason the staff could not clean it up, was because housekeeping had to be called to clean it up. It's most likely a safety and contamination issue. Glad the OP got a special treat after a not so special treat, but am curious, how in the world did the folks at WDW locate you? Did you leave your name and number, or did they take the initiative to look you up and call you.

Enjoy your meal. After the experience you had, you deserve it!

And, if housekeeping had to be called, then they need more housekeepers. Having to eat your meal next to the results of someone's illness is inexcusable and, I might add, very un-Disneylike.

We had a similar situation at Akershus except not only did they not clean up but the family with the sick child opted to stay even though she continued to throw up every 10 minutes or so. We complained as nicely as possible but didn't see any results. It was the worst thing I have ever seen in a restaurant. I'm not really sure how the rest of the family kept eating with a plate of throw up on their table as well as all over the floor but apparently it didn't bother them as much as us.

Thats GROSS !!!! Someone should have at least taken the sick child to the restroom , not let her sit at the table and continue to get sick.

I have this fear / fobia of throwup. As soon as I heard it I would have been up and running. I have left restaurants before because of this. I just go to the hostess and tell her I have to leave and could she please bring me my check there.
