Do they free interent at POFQ? Or can you pay and if you pay does anyone know how much it is? Dh may have to log in to work in the evenings and it would be nice if we could do this for free!

Thanks for any info! :flower:

It's Disney; nothing's free. I think they charge you extra for hot water. haha

It's, I think, 12.95 for 24 continuous hours of use. Sorry! It's not cheap for a person having to check in daily.

The fee is for high-speed access.

My suggestion to you is to use dial up. Slow as molasses, but at least all you're paying for is the cost of a local call.

We were on a 2-week trip two years ago, and we loaded one of those free trial AOL disks on our laptop and had access the whole time for a couple of bucks overall. We used it only to check e-mail, reservations, etc. Never signed on for more than 10 minutes or so a day.

I want to make sure I'm understanding this -

The Disney hotels have high speed internet access in the rooms?

Thanks for the info, my dh is a techie and he can probably find a number that is toll free to use. Do you pay for 800 number calls there? I probably already no, it's no nothing there is free but thought I would ask.

Probably, since you are dialling out.

it's 75 cents for local calls or 1-800 calls.

check with your ISP and see if they have local dial-up access numbers. Roadrunner gives you dial-access numbers in various cities so if you travel you don't have to pay (except hotel charges) for dial-up access.

Do you just download this roadrunner program? I am wondering how I will access the internet on the trip. I use Internet Explorer with a cable connection at home. How do I use the dial-up at POFQ?

Roadrunner is a high speed internet provider, like AOL, Comcast, Earthlink, etc.
I have cable internet and go thru RR, and they provide some local Orlando numbers to dial to if I need to connect to the internet while at WDW.

Not all broadband ISPs (Internet Service Providers) have this feature, that's why you need to ask your provider. If they do, then great - you'll just need a phone cable, the numbers, and the dialing software or Windows' dialing software.

If they don't then in order to use dial-up, you'll need to bring your own numbers. You can sign up for a free Juno account that gives you 10 hours per month (I've done this before), or sign up for a free trial of one of the thousands dial-up ISPs out there. WDW does not provide the numbers, they only provide access to the numbers (via a 75cent local call).

HTH.

Thanks, my dh boss said we can expense the phone charges if he has to dial in! Thanks again for the info
