Free Dining Watch 2009 - Dates Released!! Update post 1

How in the world am I going to make it through the weekend until Mon morning when I can call to book? I just know I will not sleep well Sunday night with the worry I will oversleep and not get on the phone right away.

My kids are going to wonder WHAT in heaven's name I am doing. Mommy is usually getting ready for work, getting them ready for school etc and not with the portable phone glued to the ear and a look of panic in her eyes.
:woohoo:

You and me both;) And we are in the same province, don't tie up the phone line for me:lmao: I can't wait for Monday!

We booked our stay yesterday and now we are considering staying an extra night or two since we saved so much with the FD plan. Is it better to reserve the extra nights now and cancel them later if we decide not to stay?
It's better to add those days now. Your resort may not have availability later.

Me too!! I don't want to wish away my weekend, but I'm so excited to save this money that I want it to be monday morning!! We were originally booked for December, but want the savings, and just decided today to change to September.

I haven't been on in a few days. Is the code out for free dining for the general public?

We already have ressies for the end of sept at wilderness lodge, will i just need to call on monday and add the free dining promo?

I've never booked one of these promos which dining plan do you get?

It's not out yet - expect it either Sunday or Monday.
And you can call Monday, but it's possible all the free dining rooms will be taken at WL (there are only so many per resort, and WL sells out fast) so have a backup to switch to, if you need to. You can't just add the code to your existing reservation.

And make sure you're booking a package!

You get the 1TS, 1CS, and 1 Snack dining plan, it's the regular one.

I was lucky enough to have gotten a Free Dining pin code :cool1:, so I've had a reservation for more than a month. I just wanted to say that I hope everyone in this thread is able to enjoy free dining. I have not been to WDW without it. My first trip was with Free Dining in 06 and I've been spoiled since :beach:....Going every year during that time. For those of us that's experienced it, you know what I mean. And for those that will experience it for the 1st time this year......I hope you have a great time.

Thanks!!! DD just booked us yesterday for Sept 3rd thru 8th at All Star Movies. This will be our second trip but first with free dining. Went last July stayed at CBR. Going in May, staying at PoP, now in Sept and back again in Nov staying at Poly for DD's b'day. :dance3:

I am soo excited, have been surfing these boards now for weeks and trying to keep in touch to see if Free dining is going to be offered. I went to my TA and emailed her the info on the Dis Visa, but since I live in Ont we can't get that. We are booked to go in Sept and she is to call on Monday to hopefully add the free dining to our package! Woo hoo!
Love these boards....sooo much info! (anyone else staying at Pop Sept 13th-21st???)

For Visa Free Dining...

I realize you have to have a Visa card to book this discount, but do you have to pay the entirety of the balance on the Visa card or can you do just the deposit? Can you change the charge of the deposit to another card later on, as well as pay off the balance on another card, or must everything be put through on the Visa, no exceptions?

You only have to put a $200 deposit on the Visa. The rest can be paid any way you like as long as it is paid in full 45 days before arrival. However, I think if you use your Visa you get 6 months intrest free:banana:

We'll be at Pop then too! Look for a big group with nine kids (mine and niece and nephew.)
See you there!

That is so nice, the kids must love that. Unfortunately my BIL thinks that Disney is the devil, too commercialized and would rather not let their kids experience it:scared1::scared1:, he is an idiot, we don't talk to them much, b/c we must be the devil to them, b/c we LOVE:love::love::love: DISNEY!!!!!
Still waiting non-patiently for Monday!

I sure would like to see it. I know there were block out dates last year in Oct., Nov., and Dec. for free dining, but I'm more hopeful it might happen, again; since, they are offering it again for Aug. and Sept.

I may be able to justify a trip if free dining comes in Dec. Now, I just hope Disney won't make cutbacks with the holidays decorations and entertainment, if free dining is offered at those times.

So, who else is looking for free dining for the last quarter of the year?

I wouldnt count on that...maybe if you were able to get a bounceback offer, but I cant see them doing it during the holidays, really wouldn't make sense :confused3

You only have to put the $200 dollar deposit on the card and all the airfare you book through Disney.

On Monday morning pre-7am we'll be ready to book SEP 19-27 POP w/FD
Is this the place to look on Monday morning for the FD code that we need when we book?

Nope, it's open :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if you can still book day 1 within the free dining dates and extend (up to) 10 days beyond that and still receive free dining for the entire trip? This is what we did 2 yrs ago, but I know some things have change re: reservations (ex. price increase for weekend nights)
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks!
