Free Dining Offer Becoming Available to Some!

I read on another board that you lucky folks with a vacation booked at a Disney owned/operated resort between Nov8-Dec31/06 qualify for a free dining pkg for Aug5-Sept29/07 if you book and pay your deposit before checkout this year! Congrats to you lucky people who qualify and will be able to take advantage of this. This is looking good for free dining for everyone next fall value season!!!!

They are not calling it the "free dining package". It's a package you can book during your stay at a disney resort. It's just happens that the discount per person equals the amount of the ddp, so disney is calling it a discounted package for pre-booking during August/September 07. Disney's just trying to package it a little differently.

The Canadian Board - posted by madonna31. She mentioned free dining in her post and also said that her best guess (I believe she is a TA) is that this is an indication that we all might receive this offer at some point.

This is being promoted for WDW guests. And no going back home and thinking about it. Guests have to book during their current WDW resort stay.
So lucky guests, book 'em while you can!

Wonder why they only have it at certain resorts? Wonder if you're not staying at one of these resorts if you can go to those resorts & make the reservation? Still hoping for a December weekend trip!!

I don't think it's that....I understood it as the kiosks or information booths are at those certain resorts. Any guest staying can book this special package.

At least that's what got from it.

I didn't read all the info. on this but I'm wondering if it will only be offered to people staying during the qualifying time period that are on packages. The reason I ask is because I'm wondering what the likelihood would be for someone that is a FL resident or AP holder to just make a ressie for one night only at a value during the Nov/Dec time frame without any ticket purchase and still qualify for the Aug/Sep promo. Even if they weren't originally planning on a stay in the next few weeks...it could be worth shelling out the bucks to get such a substantial discount on the future visit.

It's similar to something cruise lines/ships do: If you book another cruise while you're on one, you get a discount. Disney is testing two different marketing processes - kiosks at two resorts, advertising (signage, phone messages, etc) at two other resorts. While I don't think they'd refuse anybody staying at a different resort, it's not especially likely that those Guests will even SEE the information.
