What is the new dining prices? I thought it was 18.01 to upgrade to DDP for adults and 2.64? For children

but ill still be there during the discounted dates...most fine print says check in between and than the dates........or is the discount only allowed after the dates not before...

There's a new thread for room discounts. But they run from September 29-December 23 with blackout dates between November 23-29.

I think it's all about the dates....

CBR check in 10/18 thru 10/26
3 'Disney' adults
1 Disney child
8 day MYW base tickets

My total right now (already booked with FD) is $2,890.55

IF I downgraded to

POP check in 10/18 thru 10/26
3 Disney adults
1 Disney child
8 day MYW base tickets
+ upgrade to basic dining plan...(not keeping QS)

Total: $2,865.34 .....if I have to pay the 'new' dining price

Total: $2,838.78 ....if I don't have to pay the increase

The least I'd save is $25.21 between 4 people or $6.30 per person each

The most I'd save is $51.77 between 4 people or $12.94 per person each

This got me wondering what it would be for our dates. Looks like we would only save $106 changing from a Mod to POP and upgrading to TS for 4 disney adults. I think I would rather spend the $106 for a Moderate resort. Our total for CSR for 10nights Dec 22-Jan 1st will be $3860. Plus I am hoping we can get the 2day tkts put onto a regular card ticket as we have AP's. We should be able to do that and use those tkts later? Right?

We love POP to but thought this would be the time to try a mod but if its gonna be cheaper at POP & pay the difference to upgrade then we will just stay. My DD will be happier that way to.

POFQ was only $17/day more opposed to POP and upgrading to Basic DP.There is no way we'll stay at POP(and we do love it there)with smaller beds for that little of a difference in price....gives us a legitimate excuse to try something else! And this is for 8 nights!!!

Ok so I think I figured this out. We originally paid $2291.74 for 6 nights/5 day base tickets/QSDP and if we stay at POP and pay the difference to upgrade from QSDP to DP it will be $342 which will make our package total $2054.79. I hope I figured it out correctly. I looked at price of package without dining, &1712.79, and then added $19 per person per night which gave me the total of $2054.79. I looked at all mods which ended up with the following costs:

POFQ - $2199.89
POR- $2199.89
CSR - $2166.27
CBR - $2132.45

Since we would want POFQ/POR we would save $145.10 by staying at POP. This is a really hard decision.

Also just a question kind of off topic. Has anyone priced a POP package recently and it come up with standard pool view as the included room in price. When I booked in January it was just standard and I would have had to pay a difference to get standard pool view. Could this have anything to do with the FD or am I just reading to much into this. lol. I probably am knowing me.

Yes,the cardholder has to be the primary,unless you are married to them.

Maybe off topic....but there are a lot of Disney visa holders on here? Does anyone know if you can use Disney dream dollars toward your vacation package price? We are starting to accumulate quite a bit and I'm not sure we'll need all if it at park for souvenirs since we're (hopefully) getting free dining. I'd rather not spend it on other merchandise if it can credit toward our trip.

Not that it would be a deal breaker for us, it'll just decrease our souvenir fund. Just wondering if I should get my hopes up over the weekend, or write off the free dining. We're already booked for Oct 19-26.

Sure. Just cash it out to your rewards card and use your rewards just like a GC. Hold onto it though because the same card will reload.

I believe you can. You just have to put them on a GC and than put that GC towards your balance.

Just talked to my TA and she said that her dis rep had said that the "rumor" dates weren't finalized yet because some dates sold out from the PINs that went out. Anyone have any idea what the finalized dates might be?

Anything is possible. It's been a couple weeks since the dates dropped. If rooms are booked then they're booked. I wouldn't get too worried just yet.
