Don't make any changes until the day you can book it. For starters, it does no good to book a room now. Second, something could always change at the last minute. While these leaks are pretty firm, it has happened and I always tell everyone to never make non-refundable plans before the official announcement. Remember, there always seems to be a mistake of some kind. Last time it was said that mermaid rooms were included and were not...a few people were a bit heart broken over it all.

My recommendation, hold on to what you have now...call in on that morning and see what you can get.

I'm so glad that all these adrs iv booked are going to happen. So black, so far is it looking like dv will open on 7/29? I'm unfortunately working that day so my mother is going to try to handle this and she is very nervous that she won't ask the questions and screw something up. I've had to write two pages of info starting with SET YOUR ALARM CLOCK FOR 6:30. Funny, she said this seems worse than a job interview

It's following the same pattern as last time, with the public promo released on thursday and visa offer on monday.

Ok just need advice please- we are scheduled 11/26-12/1, but thinking of changing to 11/23-29 for FD. Booked w AAA. I keep talking to my agent & she keeps saying the only way to get FD is pin. She said she usually knows 1 day before it goes public & she hasn't heard anything. Do I tell her it's going public on the 1st & please change dates or do I wait for her to tell me? She thinks I'm crazy!

I would cancel thru AAA and book my own! The one year I booked thru them it took me 3 days of pleading with them to get free dining added. It was a real pain. It is much easier to do it yourself!

Since she won't know until 7/31, you may want to move your dates now. She will still have to apply the public code anyway once it comes out on 8/1.

Honestly, today, I don't see the benefit on using a TA for WDW trips. Cost is the same, if not higher (specially for airfare) as some TAs will charge you a fee to book airfare with them.

Thanks for the reply. I have wanted to cancel our trip with her since we booked, but figured it would be a hassle. We have 2 rooms with 8 people & I don't want to lose any of our ADR's by canceling with her. However, I'm losing patience with her. This is our 3rd trip, next time we will not use AAA.

One year we booked with them (different agent) & she saved us a ton! We didn't know about FD then (newbie) and she took care of everything! So ,I am very disappointed, this is a totally different experience.

I haven't had free dining since before the QSP was introduced. Is it better to stay at Value and pay the upgrade or go with a Mod and get the normal dining plan?? We love Pop but on this next trip since we have a cruise in the middle we were planning on trying a new place. Should we do our 3 post cruise nights at POR with free dining or stay at Pop and upgrade to DP??? If we do a value after the cruise we'll prob stay at POR before the cruise for 2 nights. I really want see the Royal rooms Either that or was thinking of doing 2 night before we cruise at the new AoA

Hoping to get FD there, as we've never stayed at a Mod before. HOWEVER, we have stayed at Pop twice, and LOVED it both times. I was thinking that if POFQ doesnt have any FD rooms, we would switch back to Pop. Then I got to wondering, Should we just switch back to Pop anyway..... our girls are small and they will love the theme there. POFQ, who knows?! Its only a $200 difference once you factor in upgrading the dining plan.

So.... Is staying at a Moderate worth $200 extra?! Opinions please!! Gimme the good bad and ugly!

LOL Im wondering the same thing!!! I dont know which is "Better" but I know staying at Pop and upgrading (at least for us) is less money!!!! Like you, we love Pop and havnt done a Mod yet.... Decisions Decisions!!

I think so, personal opinion. I mean the rooms are a bit bigger, three of the four mods have two sinks, the pools are cooler and have waterslides, and they have a Jacuzzi. Also, the mods have table service dining on top of the food court. Basically its a much more themed experience, but it's really a preference. I upgraded to CSR because I just wanted the more laid back and quiet resort atmosphere. I feel the values can get "loud" if you know what I mean. I think it comes from the mods being more spread out.

First take into consideration that to qualify for free dining you to have at least a 3 night stay and 2 days of base park tickets. What is a better deal depends on your family-how many "adults", children, etc. For us, a Value and paying to upgrade is always a better deal, but we are a bigger family. To figure the best deal, add about $19 per day for adults and $3 something per day for child and that will be the upgrade cost for a Value. Also, keep in mind that the Little Mermaid rooms are usually excluded from discounts. Good Luck!!! And have FuN!! Disney Cruise AND WDW, how AWESOME!!!

Just to add: This year we are staying AoA suites because we thought it was worth the extra money. In the end, go with your heart!!!

I'm sorry. We arrive on the 4th of December, so no FD for us either, but we did get an offer for a room discount of 25%. Did you get some kind of discount?

We went many years when our kids were younger and couldn't afford souvenirs for everyone, so we always told them memories make the very best souvenirs!

It's not my kids I'm worried about, it's my husband!

We haven't gotten any room discount offers yet, either. Did yours come in the form of a PIN?

If I change our stay from 11/3-11/9 to 11/2-11/9 and I already have 5 days of tickets in our package, do I need to pay additional money because of the new ticket prices? If I do, how much more would that be? Thx!
