Just wondering. Did anyone else who had to call and cancel a Non-FD ressie after booking a FD ressie catch a hard time from a CM?

I just got off the phone to cancel my original non-FD booking, I encountered a CM who was certainly less than magical. :( He wasn't rude per say, but definitely sounded like he wanted to be somewhere else, annoyed even.

Hopefully all this can be attributed to this FD mess, as all other times I've gotten great CMs on the phone!
 
I noticed on my confirmation that the total is $200 more than what I had before the free dining for Music and it lists table service, counter service and snak. So I'm thinking that the cm mistakenly gave me the dining plan instead of the quick service plan and charged me the difference. I hope it isn't going to be a problem in calling and changing the dining plan, because dh and I just want QS.

I think I read in an older post from you (like maybe on the first thread) that restaurants like T-Rex hold some reservations that you can make directly through them, rather than Disney?

If you do go to T-Rex or Rainforest I suggest signing up for the Landry club. It's worth it! Just like other dining clubs they send you birthday and holiday gifts along with free apps and deserts. The big thing is they guarantee seating for you. We were at T-Rex last year and the wait was an hour and a half. Showed our card to hostess and 10 mins later we were sitting down. Soooo worth it with two starving kids!
 
I had this too, and I called. The CM said it might be a bit before they disappear, but she assured me that they would. They were not listed for my reservation on her screen.

The price you paid is listed above - so they are not charging you more for the tickets, so it stands to reason that they will disappear at some point.

Thanks for that info. The reservation that I canceled is still showing up on MDE, along with our FD reservation, and it shows that we each have two tickets. I was waiting for my ressie to disappear so that I could be sure the right one was cancelled. I guess I"ll wait a day or two before I call to check.

I hope so. I was just wondering because an earlier poster said there CM basically said that do multiple bookings was against rule's and that they might have to cancel all of the persons reservations for doing that.

WOW. I have to call and cancel my original ressie because I booked a second one when FD came out. If the CM tries that crap with me I will definitely be talking to a manager and if they don't resolve that attitude I will contact guest relation's and file a complaint against the CM and the manager. You can book as many reservations as you want and cancel as you wish. If a CM is mad because he has to do more work, maybe he should find another job, because he sucks at his current one. I know how you feel though because I called the other day, before FD even went out, because I needed to change my dates and the CM sound like she had a bug up her butt (probably because she had to do her job on Monday, boo-hoo) but she was actually the first CM I ever got that wasn't very pleasant so I just brushed it off.

I just called tonight to cancel the one I made yesterday morning because I got the one I wanted last night. The CM I spoke to was very nice and he acted like it was no big deal at all to cancel one of them. So probably depends on who you get.

@wen8jr Sorry you had such a rough time. That CM was wrong and rude! It's totally possible to have more than one reservation at a time because for all they know you are making them for friends or family. Whatever you decide to do I hope you have a wonderful vacation.

I just cancelled one of my resort packages, but when I go online the tickets that were in that package are still under MDE section. Should I call back? I hate to, because I was on hold for 50 min. to cancel. :confused3

Mine always take 24 hours or so to go away.

I just wanted to let you know I was talking to my sister and she's going the week before me. She said if you go on disneys uk sit and login there your ress will show that you have dining. I already tried it and my fd was there.:thumbsup2

figures that the websites for US and UK would be so different. the US site is great because you can link a TA booked ressie and ADRs, but no dining plan details or credits show up. sounds like the UK site does show dining details and/or credits for Disney booked ressies, but there is nowhere to link a TA booked ressie or ADR. The reason I say that is because although I had a TA book my package and a few of my ADRs, I did a couple of ADRs myself, in the wee hours of the night. The ADRs I did myself through Disney show up on the UK site, but that's it, nothing my TA booked, nor anywhere to add/link it.

weird. :confused3

but back to the BIG question at hand :confused::confused::confused: does anyone know if dining particulars (type of plan and/or number of credits) show on MDE anywhere????

I called this afternoon and had a very pleasant CM who seemed genuinely happy I had gotten FD. Did you?

I'm glad to hear that. Thanks. If I get a CM with an attitude maybe I'll just ask them to transfer me back to hold so I can wait for someone who doesn't mind doing there job.

I don't mean to make it sound like I have no sympathy for the CM's but I worked for a high call volume support center before and I was never once rude. I had to deal with hundred's of miserable people everyday, not happy people planning a vacation of there dreams, and I was always nothing but courteous. Of course the mute button did get worn out sometimes. :)

I had the exact opposite experience as the PP. While I was waiting for my CM Ashley to pull up my reservation, she was telling me how it was a bit calmer today and that most people were reporting that they were on hold about 45 minutes, instead of hours. I only had to wait 20 minutes this afternoon, but told her about my experience yesterday. I told her since my CM was unable to get into the system after trying for 30 minutes, I just went ahead and booked my FD online. She said "that's great that you were able to get it online because so many people are having a hard time getting the FD for the dates they want."

Don't be afraid to call, hopefully you'll be lucky and get a cheerful CM.

Thanks. Tried it and doesn't work for me. It didn't even show my reservation just one of my ADRs. I think MDE is messed up for me.

Not at all. The CM was super friendly and understanding. She said she was glad I was able to book something online since everyone was having trouble on there too.
 
my dd was on the disney website looking at resorts...she came running over to me and said that Disney has a room that has stars in it...she's 6. I checked and it's POR RR...I remember reading about how eveyone wants POR but it has been sold out for FD..so I had to break her heart and say we couldnt get that, but I'll secretly keep checking for it:)
