I hope so. I was just wondering because an earlier poster said there CM basically said that do multiple bookings was against rule's and that they might have to cancel all of the persons reservations for doing that.

You haven't cancelled your original ressie yet? I haven't... I'll let you go first! Lol did you switch to POR? We were booked for the same dates as you at POFQ. We switched to POR...kept the same dates.

I was able to snag only part of our trip 11/17 - 11/22 late last night online. I'm hoping the weekend before opens up for me to add it. My last 2 nights, I'd be willing to do AoA even if that means loosing 2 days of free dining. My TA has the last night on hold already.

Okay. Good Cara! I couldn't tell from your post if you did book the weekdays or not.
Something will open. People always canceling and changing. :-)

Thought I'd share one of my favs...

Hi Black,
Thanks for allowing my comment on your Disney by Joe website under "Dapper Dans". I wanted to add the picture of my son (10 at the time) playing "The Star Spangled Banner" in the GF lobby here, but since I'm a newbie the system won't let me. If you know a way for me to post it, let me know :).

It won't? I didn't know there was any restrictions.

I think I'll wait until later to get into some numbers...it's a friday night.

I'm going to go lay down with the ipad-mini and surf these threads a bit.

Thought I'd share another...this is what an empty queue looks like at Toy Story Mania when you're first in line. This is one of those "doesn't happen very often" moments, that I just had to capture.

my dd was on the disney website looking at resorts...she came running over to me and said that Disney has a room that has stars in it...she's 6. I checked and it's POR RR...I remember reading about how eveyone wants POR but it has been sold out for FD..so I had to break her heart and say we couldnt get that, but I'll secretly keep checking for it:)

Oh I hope you manage to get it. That's were we ended up and at first I was kind of upset because I thought it was going to cost a lot of money but in the end was only $150 more for 5 nights and I know my Izzy (7) is going to absolutely flip! princess:

Ok...figured out at least how to change the Avatar...put the picture in there :-)....Again, my son playing Star Spangled Banner in the GF lobby...a once in a lifetime opportunity :goodvibes.

Oh I love those once in a lifetime moments...they make the trip so special.

Not sure if this is the same thing that's happened to you, but this is what was happening to me on my iPad and I realized I was going through the old disney site, then every time I tried the regular one it would bounce me back to the old one. I cleared my history and all the other things I could clear and went back and it was normal. So maybe try clearing things on your Internet history and try again?

Thank you for your reply.

I think that may be the case. I do normally use the old site to make ADR's because it seems easier(or maybe I am just old and set in my ways :rotfl:)

I don't understand why the old site wouldn't also show the offer though :confused3
I am able to see all the other pages there and the Sept FD offer showed up.

I did try to clear my history but for some reason it's still sending me to the old site. Oh well...Thank you for trying to help. I can see everything I need to right now so hopefully I can get it figured out before I plan my next trip.

Got thru today & cancelled my original AAA discounted ressie. The $80 saved will pay for counter service for me for a couple of days easily.

I just wanted to pop in here really quickly and update my situation......

I booked back in Feb for the vacation I wanted with a TA. Any discount or FD was gravy to us. As of last night, she had not been able to get us either the FD or any room discount on our current ressie, or our backup choice. She was frustrated, and frankly, a little more upset than I was. I reassured her that it was fine, and not to stress, I was fine with the vacation I had. She said that she would keep checking and let me know if anything came up after the dust settled.

Fast forward to this morning.....she posted on my FB that she needed to talk to me and let her know when I was awake and near the phone (we're in diff time zones), I did, and when she called, she was so excited to tell me that she was able to get us FD at our original resort. She checked again and found one open in a different room type and changed our ressie to it with FD, saving us.........$689!!!!!!:banana::banana:

ETA: with that savings, we're able to add in a day at Universal with Express Passes!

WHAT I LEARNED: 1)TRUST IN YOUR TA 2)HAVE PATIENCE, they do indeed know what they are doing!::yes::

Yeah!!!!!

We booked Pop Century December 22-28, two day tickets into parks, and free QSDP for a grand total of $2,032.

We will hit Epcot on the 23rd and are paying for Candlelight processional OOP. We will do Christmas Eve at Magic Kingdom! We will have Christmas services at the Contemporary on Christmas Morning and then head to Winter Summerland to Putt Putt golf with Santa (thanks to the two free vouchers we will only pay OOP for one child and one adult). We will hit the deluxe resorts around the boardwalk that night.

On the 26th and 27th our teenaged son will use the two free passes into Disney Quest at DTD and feed his inner video game addict! My husband and I will take our little girl for high tea on the 26th at the Grand Floridian and enjoy visiting the decorations at the Monorail resorts and The Wilderness Lodge. On the 27th the adults will shop at Property Control thanks to a family member CM and enjoy DTD.

Whee!

Add in gas money, spending money, and OOP meals and we will spend around $2500 for a week at Disney at Christmas. Our per person per day cost is under $80.

I love this itinerary! How you kept the costs down and paid for the meals that really mattered to you rather than just upgrade your dining plan to include table service. I hope you have a wonderful time and bravo! :cheer2:

Hi everyone! We are staying at CSR for 11-16 to 11-23 for FD. I booked a standard room as that was all they had. I put in a request for bottom floor and close to the main building and transportation. I know that the Casitas 1, 2, and 3 are the buildings that are preferred and closest to the main building. We have stayed before at CBR, CSR and at POFQ (2 times) and we were in love with being so close to the main building at FQ so we could refill our mugs anytime etc and a short walk to the bus stop.

My Q is- is it unreasonable to think that without it being a preferred room that we will not be close in any way to the main building? I am really worried ab this since it is such a large resort. We have stayed at CSR 3 yrs ago but my DD 8 was sick with migraines for over half of the time so i really never explored the resort. We wanted to do POR RGR (as we have never stayed at POR) but there was no availability. Should I keep trying to get preferred at CSR or POR RGR or just keep what we have and be happy with it ( and just figure out what location to request??)

Thanks so much for your input!

Josh over at EasyWDW has a great explanation of the different areas of CSR.

Can anyone tell me how to clear my history please?
My computer keeps going back to the old site too, when I try to bring up the new site.

Well I left a a message for my ta and emailed her. I think I have been plenty patient since the last time she contacted me was early wed. I have zero clue if I am booked or not. My guess is a big fat no. Please send some thoughts my way for fd. I am so aggravated.

Just my humble opinion, but I honestly think it would've helped if not so many people were hanging onto multiple reservations (flaming myself, I know!) & calling to cancel a reservation the first day the promotion came out. Also, multiple ppl with travel agents were calling to try & modify their own reservations..I feel like this really complicated things, I know people want to blame it on the DV thing, but I didn't see an AP discount coming out first either? (I don't have either one) -Just my humble opinion into the disaster of yesterday! I do hope the ones that didn't get your resort to call often. Maybe late morning or dinner time, because I really think some availability is going to open up!

I totally agree with your post. The extremely limited availability was probably due to a large number of double bookings. I don't understand why you would hire a travel agent and turn around and book your own reservation. Why hire the agent???

I don't know if you can. However, I have a local AAA travel agent who sent me my confirmation on the same day of FD. Is yours local? Can you go to her office? I know that I would.

I'm sorry that you have to go through this. :sad1:

For those who weren't able to get FD on Thursday but were able to on Friday, congratulations. I am still trying but there is still nothing available at POR for our dates in October (we already have a reservation at POR with the DDP and it is all paid off). I have been told by 2 CMs to keep trying as rooms open up as people cancel and move reservations around. I will keep checking online and call every few days (or once a week). 1 CM told me to keep checking all the way up to our departure date. He said you just never know!

It would be nice to get the credit for the DDP on our credit card to give us some more money to play with down there! Fingers crossed.

For anyone that is looking for a RR at POR, they are showing available for 11/23-12/3 right now. This is the first I have seen them since 12 AM on Thursday morning.
