that's true and I'm sure she is trying really hard , but then I hear of others whose TA's got them a discount right away...it's really disheartening.

I haven't heard from my TA either.
I've also been trying on my own in case I happen to get through and my TA does not.
I've seen others get the same week as me at POR, but I still have been able to. It is frustrating, but I'm not giving up yet! You never know what may open up.
 
Decided to try on my lunch hour to see if I could get through and cancel my RO so it would free up the space at FQ. Got right through had a very nice CM, she added a request to my new reservation for me.

She said it was very busy and it was slower service than usual because she was trying to get people what they wanted but that she was happy as long as everyone was patient. I stayed for a survey since she was super sweet.
 
Dunno, usually i an switch to DDP and still save money.
With the spit stay and 2 days being rack rate, its coming out just as ex*****ve.

So its either 8 days regular dining plan.

Or 6 days DDP and 2 days no DP....

How does one decide on that???

You don't know for sure she hasn't gotten it for you. It may be that agency's policy to stay on the phone and adjust as many ressies as possible then send out emails later in the day. I would rather know that my TA was working on my ressie instead if emailing other clients and wasting phone time. Also, there's the fact that the demand has been so high it's crashed the phone lines and online site repeatedly. Finally, remember that we've been reading about lots of folks having 2 or even 3 ressies now with plans to cancel later. That could potentially free up offers later in the week. The booking period does last until 9/15. I would just try to stay positive and hope for the best.
 
Not all families can afford to do that unfortunately, I know we can't! so maybe when they start losing all of their current fam. of 5 bookings to offsite they will release more rooms?

Since POR is the cheapest option for 5 with or without discount. I don't think they have trouble filling those rooms. I know if I were a family of 5 that would be our option as well.
 
MDE just updated to CSR, and has a different confirmation number than the one I got when I called myself, so thinking my TA came through! Now do I cancel with the TA or the one I made myself?
 
Glad I was able to book on-line at about 1:00 am this morning so I wouldn't have to deal with it today.
 
POR 5 people rooms are available the week of 11/17. Couldn't do it online but called and waited less than 5 minutes and she booked it for me. AWESOME CM!
 
I know they say Disney reserves the right to change things, take away dates, etc. If I'm already booked with FD, it's mine to keep right? RIGHT?!?!? :lmao:
 
I think I've completely lost out on a discount entirely. I am so sad.

I won't say more and am just going to leave the boards for a few days. It's too upsetting to see all these posts--especially the ones where people DID get the deal.

Maybe a lot of people are currently double booked and they'll drop the extra room later today. I know I was doubled up, I had my old POR ressie and then a new CBR ressie. I did finally cancel POR but it took forever on the phone.
 
Ok so I already asked about not receiving a confirmation email, but my Disney Experience Acct hasn't updated to it either. Is that cause for concern or am I just over analyzing this. I am aware both phone and site had crashed earlier today. I am just trying to make sure I have my bases covered.
