You know I'm a little. ...no I'm alot ticked off right now!:furious: So if the free dining comes out tomorrow then I have to make TWO separate reservations which means that even though we've paid for preferred location (and our disney balance is paid off)...we may not get that location:confused3. I would have to book a RO for the first night...check out the next morning...check BACK in under fd and hope that we get the same location we had??? That's bullcrap!! My husband will be po'd when I tell him this:( Disney needs to figure their system out because I don't agree with this. I paid for preferred and I expect to get that and I will raise a stink during our RE check in if I don't get the location I paid for!! And we can't do anything on Sunday night because of this!
And that is also going to screw up my dining reservations for the week!

Take a deep breath....if you get FD and it is not in a preferred location, then you didn't pay for preferred. They will refund your money if you overpaid. Only certain rooms are available for free dining, that is the way it is.

In the category of "problems" one can have in life, not getting the exact room they want would not be high on the list. Let's see, death, poverty, cancer, losing a limb, debilitating diseases....

I really wanted POFQ but it is not in the cards, and hopefully my plan B or plan C will work. If not, then we go on to plan D which is not desirable or we don't go. No one gets hurt in the process.

Just remember if you don't get what you want or need tomorrow (hopefully) that you keep calling for availability.. I've used a RO discount many times & I've never not gotten what I wanted, but persistence is the key! People change & cancel all the time! Not sure about FD! Maybe some other Disney peeps can offer some previous experience! Pixie Dust to all !

So we are already booked and paid for our Nov 10 arrival. How does fd work if you already have disney paid for? Also, we're checking in on the 10th and FD is to start on the 11th, does that mean on the 10th we'll have to pay for our dining or will it be included in the FD? TIA

I'm sure this has already been answered for you but I too am arriving on the 10th and had booked my ress for 11/10-11/17. When I saw the dates of the pin codes I changed it to 11/11-11/17 in hopes of fd being offered on 11/11, but I have to arrive on the 10th so hopefully if everything works out tomorrow morning I'll book a ro somewhere for that first night and check in at POR on the 11th. I was hoping to get a ro at POR but it looks like it's excluded from the ro discount. So maybe cbr might work.

Yeah..thats definitely a drag...BIG TIME! BUT,if location is that important/don't want to make changes on the fly etc...keep what you have...anyone who really wants/needs FD,will make the necessary changes in a heartbeat, even if it requires a real pain in the neck to accomplish.Good-luck,and enjoy your vacation!!!

Okay, so we are already booked at Pop for our first family trip to WDW, but I am planning on upgrading to a Mod tomorrow. It is just me, my partner and our son who turns 3 the day after we arrive. Because I've never stayed on site, I am having a hard time choosing between POR, CB and CS. Which resort do you think will be best with a 3 year old, which one will he enjoy the most? I am leaning towards POR for the boat to DTD, but would love any advice!

Does anyone know when the Disney site updates the offers on their page? Do they usually do it at midnight? Or at 6 a.m.?

I was told by a CM on one of my many morning calls...:rotfl2::rotfl2: that they update the offers on their website sometime after midnight?! Not sure how much of that is fact though.:)

Is it Thursday yet??????????

:hyper::hyper: Hurry up!!!

I'm going to call this morning, I feel I could miss out on saving money. I'm so frustrated. I hope she emails me back or I get ahold of her.

I hope you get a hold of her or a manager.:)

That's odd! What are your dates and where are you looking to stay. Maybe the website is down for "maintenance" (ie, loading the discounts for tomorrow).

They always do maintenance the day before a big discount, so that could very well be what is messing up the system.

This is what I am thinking too....:thumbsup2

We want to go for my DS October school break and I noticed there is NO availability at many of the deluxe resorts. Is this normal for October (3 months out?)

I think October is getting busier and busier....:confused3

:offtopic: But I DID happen to score a Wishes Fireworks dessert ressie. So excited!:cool1:

I talked to my hubby about the issue and he said that's fine. We'll stay off Disney property our arrival night and check in on Monday. Still isn't going to help with my ADR's for the week. Someway somehow I have to find a planet hollywood ressie and figure out what night :) I just think that if you've alreay paid for it then you should be able to get the location you want and not have to worry about moving. The split reservations are a little confusing to me since we would already be there in a room. Guess I'll let my TA take care of it and I'll hope for the best. My hubby is all about the free dining because it will save him $900..Me..I could care less as long as I'm at disney:)

Agreed! Way too much anger in this world. You are going to WDW. It's supposed to be a happy thing! Relax and enjoy and go with the flow

Um.....no one is forcing you out of your location. You are CHOOSING to get a discount at which you run the chance of your room category not being in the deal. Also, you chose your dates, not Disney, it's not their fault you will be inconvenienced for a day.

Hi All!! (first time poster here :wave2: ) I am having such a problem figuring out how much I can possibly save with this FD deal. (yes I am a newbie ;) ) I know that you guys can help me figure this out!

I am booked already at POR in the Royal rooms standard view. I thought I could figure it out just by looking up the price of the room + tickets without dining and then subtracting what I have already paid from that. But if I do two price quotes, one with dining and one without and subtract, I get the "price" of dining right? So I can subtract THAT from my balance due right? But doing it those two ways gives me two totally different amounts that will be due....

help?!?! :confused3 I think I might just be having a slow morning and am unable to common sense my way out of this lol!

I am glad you worked it out! :thumbsup2 I personally would keep checking back for your ADRs because people like me are changing mine ALL the time!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I can see it now, I'll be getting up every hour after midnight just to see if the WDW website has been updated with the new fall fd promo, LOL.

I don't think you really need to be on the phone at 7AM to get a room for FD. I've always called sometime that morning of the offer, and have always gotten the resort I wanted.

Keep in mind, this is a board of Disney-fans, so it is a very small percentage of the people that will be using the FD promotion. I HATE waking up earlier than I need to!

I'm up at 5am every morning regardless, I start work at 630. :surfweb:

I was just wondering if I call a few minutes ahead of 7, if I'd be on hold until 7am, or if I would go through the whole process of punching in my info only to get a recording to call back later.

Does anyone know?

I don't understand the issue. If you book a preferred for both stays, then you will be in a preferred room for both stays. Likely the same room, but they cannot guarantee it. Why cant you do anything Sunday night??? Disney doesn't owe you or anyone else a discount. If you don't like the terms of the FD deal, then try for the room discount. It does no good to get all worked up when you can easily take advantage of either offer. It doesn't have to be this stressful. Take a deep breath and realize that it will all be okay.

If you decide to do the split FD stay, remind them at check in that you have another stay beginning the next day. They may know whether or not you can stay in the same room. If for some reason they don't know, go to the desk early the next morning (anytime after 6am) and see if they know. If you can stay in the same room, just check out and back in right then and be on your way. If they say you can't or they still don't know, tell them you'll be back with your luggage. Take it to them, check out and in, and if your room isnt ready, head to the parks. They will call or text you with the room number. It really is not that hard. People do it all the time. :goovibes

ETA: Just read your update. It sounds like you are feeling better about things. I would still stay on property the first night, but as long as you are still able to get the deal, it should make for an even better trip. I hope your TS has good luck for you tomorrow! :goodvibes

Also, have you tried calling Planet Hollywood directly? I know T-Rex only holds a few spots open for booking through Disney, people have better luck calling them directly. Might be the same for PH. Good luck!

Sounds like you shouldn't change your plans.

Why not just get a room at all star sports resort(I here it's going to be pretty quiet there):lmao: Then check into POR the next morning. At least you will be on property and all star sports will transfer your luggage to your next resort. I know it seems like a pain but it will be worth it. I have to do the same thing and I have to move my mother and her scooter over so I have to get the Mears taxi to pick us up.

Hi Everyone. This Oct 19-26 is my family's first trip to WDW. (Me, DH, and DS (7). This FD has me a little confused. :confused3 I've been reading through the posts and am having a hard time figuring out what I'm supposed to do. I already have reservations at POP and am on the regular dining plan and have my ADR's. Should we be switching to a moderate hotel or just pay for the upgrade and stay at POP? Also, do I have to cancel my existing res. at POP and place a new one to get the FD? Thanks for any help you can give! :goodvibes

FD pin offer only excluded AoA LM rooms.

PIN offer did just exclude LM rooms however as per Black (and at this point I trust 100%) AOA in its entirety is excluded from the GP FD as well as POFQ, ASMO, GF and a couple others.

As everyone knows the biggest decisions for a Disney vacation is when and where. It took me a long time to figure out what location at the resort I wanted us to stay in. That's why I'm upset....not because of the chance of having to move. Fine if I can't stay in the same room that's fine, but keep me in the same location that I've requested. I understand that the location I picked may not be in the offer. I also just realized I didn't request preferred just waterview and we're not staying at the most requested location at CSR which is a good thing. I guess I'll just wait and hope for the best...
