Hi All!

Off topic...again... but hoping yall can help. My friends heard a rumor about an "unhappy hour" at Gastons Tavern... I couldn't find anything about it ... Supposedly with the Disney Villans?
Also, while we are at it, when I visited the New Fantasy Land in January, I didn't even see Gastons Tavern, is it behind the gates to BOG? It was so crowded at the time they weren't letting people past the gates to look around unless they were standing in line to eat at BOG.

Anyone?

Many travelocity reservations are non-refundable and beware , many charge at the time of booking!!!

Travel insurance is a must for expensive trips. Learned that 2 years in a row when a family member passed days before departure. Thankfully not a WDW vacation...

I always get in now. Often it is less than 10% total cost.

I totally agree. You never know what life can throw at you. I rather pay that little % in insurance rather than have a major problem with (God forbid) family, work, etc, and have to lose all of my money.

Does anyone happen to know what the price is to download a photo from Photopass if you don't pre purchase the CD? I'm torn on whether or not I'm going to pre buy it, I feel like ill only want a few of the pics.

It's either $10 or $15. I cannot say enough about how great the Photopass service is. We would never go without prepurchasing it. If you are not interested in the offerings of the plus option, you can prepurchase the regular Photopass, and that preorder has a 90 day full refund period, meaning you can look at all of your pictures once you get home and if you do not feel like you got your money's worth, you can request a refund for the full prepurchase price. If you have any questions, let me know.

Oh, thats pretty expensive! I'm 99% sure Ill buy the pass+, I just realized that the ride photos can go on there, and I won't have to carry around a print!

We are getting the plus for the first time this year and I am so excited! We've never purchased ride photos before so I am happy we will get those. When we went last year, I had already prepurchased the regular PP before the price increased, so I got it for $99. At that time, the prepurchase for the plus was $170, so I just stuck with the regular instead of upgrading. Now that the plus is only $30 more than the regular, it is well worth the upgrade. :goodvibes

I'm seriously considering purchasing this for our Dec trip. With it being the kids first trip, two character meals, and the kids being old enough to ride most the rides it seems worth it. Plus I'm horrible at remembering to take pictures.

I find it to be very worth the cost, but make sure if you get it that you use it to its full advantage. Stop at any photographer you see, especially at the park icons, even if you stop at a photographer that is only 20 feet away from the last one. :rotfl: They usually do not have much of a line if any, and you never know which one will get the best shot. Also, make sure you take time to make a lot of edits to your photos. Once you order the CD, that locks in your editing, so do as many as possible. My Toy Story MNSSHP photo with Buzz has at least 20 edits alone. I put all of the Toy Story borders, the MNSSHP borders, his signature, and MK borders on the original and then also saved many of them in varying sizes. You never know when you might need the photo later, so it is best to cover all of your bases. We average 200-300 original photos per trip, but by the time I edit them, I end up with over 1000 photos. They will mail you however many CDs it takes to get all of your photos, so I take full advantage of that. :goodvibes

Thanks! I didn't know that ordering the CD would lock in the editing. I have never really paid attention to the photographers (how many and where they are) that's one of the reasons I hadn't ordered it yet.

So you purchase the pp+ and have photographers take your pics throughout the parks and then WDW mails you a cd with all the pics? And all you pay is the $149 (as long as its 14 days before your trip)?

Wow, the Pirates League prices vary dramatically. Does anyone know if the price differs depending on how much stuff you get or is it a set price but varies by the season?

Never mind. I'm a little slow. I just found the read more button that shows all of the packages.

Yep, when you preorder the Photopass Plus here...

http://www.disneyphotopass.com/specialoffers/wdwppp.htm

they will mail you a stock CD of about 400 photos of characters, resorts, parks, etc. There will be a voucher on the outside of that CD that you take to WDW and exchange for your PP+ card and lanyard. You use that card to get photos taken throughout the parks, and when you get home, you enter the card numbers of any Photopass cards you get (they have separate cards for things like the Pirate Tutorial show, Enchanted Tales with Belle, etc) and once you enter the numbers you will have 30 days to edit your photos and then order your Photopass CD with all of your originals and edits. It comes in the mail a week or so later. Very easy to do, and well worth the price, IMO. Here is a good source for PP+ info...

I never use the insurance. I've driven in hurricanes before to get there. So I don't think it's worth the money. But that's just me.

Joe...since you seem to know everything about Disney (Thank goodness!!), I'm hoping you can help me! I've called both Disney and Travelocity, but can't get an answer. I booked a room and tix through Travelocity. The room automatically showed up under my reservations on the WDW website. I am trying to link the tickets, but it keeps telling me the number I am using is not valid. Do you know how to link the travelocity tix? I even called Disney tech support.

Anyone done the Pirates and Pals cruise? Thinking of doing that on a MNSSHP night but not sure if our 2 almost 3 year old would enjoy it enough to justify the price.

We did it on a MNSSHP night last year and had a blast! I highly recommend it. :goodvibes
