FREE DINING for DISNEY VISA CARD HOLDERS!!

:woohoo: Wow, I finally got through and got my dates changed!! So excited to be going in December and seeing it decorated for Christmas. Can't imagine it being more magical, but from what I have heard ... it is! Woohoo!!

I can hardly believe I am actually :woohoo: excited :woohoo: about delaying our trip for 3 months. LOL.

When you change your dates, do you need to cancel and rebook, including re-paying your deposit, or will they simply move your dates?

No need to cancel as long as you go from a package to another package. If you currently have a room only and want to switch to a package then you would have to cancel and rebook.

Thanks for all the great info. I just checked the thread yesterday to see what was new and saw the Disney Visa deal. I called last night & was able to modify our Nov 25-30th reservation to get the free dining. We had to change our POFQ water view to garden view, but for that discount we did not care! We were doing the happy dance last night!! :cool1: Thanks!!!

OP, thank you for posting this! I saw it yesterday afternoon and called right away. Even though I am a Disney VISA holder, I NEVER get their emails on these promotions until days later. I always find out about them first on the disney forums online. The CM who I booked my reservation with told me, "It must have been nice to click on your email and see this special!" I said, "No, I never get the emails on time, I found out about it online." He was like, "Oh, really?"

Anyway, we are going Nov 23-30 and as a family of five, I was very lucky to get one of the AB rooms at POR (I was so afraid they would be out of these and we'd end up having to take a risk getting two value rooms that might not end up being connected). However, I am wondering, it looks like I paid a rate for garden view (he did not offer me choice, but when I price it up online, it is the same price as a garden view). Did anyone who booked an AB room get a std room, or was the garden view the only option? I was just curious if it was even a choice for anyone or if that was basically the only option. It says, "D85." Is that the code for a garden view?

We have had a Disney Visa Card for a number of years and we hardly ever get emails from them. I don't think I have ever got an email about the Disney Free Dining from them. I have always seen it on Mousesavers or Intercot first.

Hmmm... I specifically asked that question and I was told my ticket prices remained the same. :confused3 I was told that the extra money was for taxes from switching from a 30% code to FD. Oh well. I guess it doesn't really matter. I am still saving more than the room code saved me, so it's all good.:cool1:

I asked the same thing too when I got my free dining pin and added 2 more days, and even when last week when I upgraded to the water park and more I was told I was grandfathered in at the old price:confused3

Well, I feel sort of silly. After getting the 'free' dining at AoA, I decided to do the math and opted to go back to just paying OOP for our meals. We're at around $975 total for room and 3 days tickets. By getting the free quick service dining, we'd be losing our Florida resident ticket discount so the total price would be $1198 since we'd be paying full price for tickets and then upgrading to regular dining the cost increases $1342. We rarely order dessert and sometimes order appetizers as meals. I'm also sure that DD and I will share a meal :).

After all that work to get it you are giving it up?!?!:rotfl2:

It probably makes the most sense to do that, though. :goodvibes

Trust me. I know. I was on the phone for over an hour and a half. I guess the hype of it all got to me :rotfl:

We have had a Disney Visa Card for years and I have yet to receive the Chase Disney Visa free dining info email from them. Very frustrating :-(

I have had one since 2010 and I have not gotten an email from them either for free dining. I know you do not need a pin to get the free dining that is going around but all you need is the disney visa card. I called and my dates were blacked out :(

So is 11-9th only included for deluxe resorts? Was anyone able to book this date for values? We were hoping to do th 9th to the 16th at 2 values but on the link that was posted there was also a chart and it listed the 9th only for deluxe.

:thumbsup2 We're booked for AoA suite Nov 9-14 with free Quick Service Dining. Just read on a different thread, someone booked AS Sports 11/9-11/14 w/ QSDP.

Thank you! I hope I can get these dates, none of the others work for us and we just can't do a deluxe.

Be careful with split stays. I just got off the phone with Disney to check up on my reservation to make sure everything was set up right and was told that i couldnt pick up my park tickets any earlier than 7 AM on the day i check in for free dining. I told the person that i was told when i book that if i did room only for the first 3 days and free dining on the last 5 days i could pick up my tickets 3 days early. She said they would talk to the person who told me that and tell them you cant do that.

They will ALWAYS tell you that you can't, but they do not work in ticketing so they have no idea that it CAN be done. Please read post #15 section "I" of this ticket sticky...

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1452684

This sticky is written AND updated by a CURRENT ticketing CM. Note that he mentions the call centers giving incorrect info and that it is still a valid procedure to allow guest to pick up package tickets up to 3 days early.
